First off, there was a strong smell of something (mildew?) as soon as inhaled into the door. Maybe cleaning product, but it was not a good first impression. I asked if I could just look at the facilities to see what they had compared to LT but I only had a few minutes and didn't want a full blown tour. Front desk guy looked confused and called the manager and told me that I had to take the full tour and go over pricing before they would let me walk through - or I could buy a day pass to do so. Unbelievable - needless to say I turned around and walked out. That interaction was all I needed to know about how they operate.

Why 1 star? Because these are the worst softball fields I've ever played on…read more --- --- --- This review is purely for the softball fields. In looking at some of the other photos, I honestly did not even know the other parts of this park even existed. I have been here several times for softball games and practices and that's the only part of Alden Bridge that I've ever seen. Why these fields are the worst: 1) I've played on slow pitch softball for almost 20 years and 95% of the fields I've played on are a standard 300 feet from home plate to the fence, or very close to that. At Alden Bridge, there are two co-ed fields with about a 200 foot fence and a men's field that's about 400 feet. Why is this terrible? Because on the co-ed fields, decent players constantly hit accidental home runs that result in outs once you've hit your limit (1 & 1-up). While I've only played co-ed here, I cannot imagine that the men's field ever sees any home runs because there are probably plenty of MLB players who cannot hit a softball over these fences. 2) To try to prevent too many accidental home runs, men hit with a rubber ball. If you don't hit it completely square, you get a lot of backspin and bad mis-hits. For the infielders, they have to play hops very differently, as the balls jump around like they are on a trampoline. 3) Like virtually every other square inch of the Woodlands, just beyond the fence on each field is a heavily wooded forest. So not only are home runs hit all the time, but it's difficult to find the balls when you try to retrieve them. When we were taking batting practice one time, one of our guys got stung several times by yellow jackets when he was trying to find some balls out there. 4) The outfield grass, especially on field 3 is a permanent swamp land. It's incredibly dangerous how muddy it is out there and it doesn't matter if it's rained or not within the last week. I've slipped and fallen flat on my face several times when trying to chase down a ball. 5) While it was only one time, before one of our games, the toilets were all backed up and the bathroom literally smelled like a sewage plant and the floors were covered in brown substance. Maybe it was just dirt, or maybe I basically just waded through a pool of poop to get to the urinal... which was also backed up. 6) Unless I've totally missed it somehow, there are no concessions available, which would be nice and a way for the park to make a few bucks. If I'm asked to somehow find a positive with this park, the one thing I will point to is that there's plenty of parking available that is not in a danger zone to be hit by foul balls and home runs. Most softball parks have their parking lot within a few feet of the fence and it's inevitable to see cars constantly getting hit by balls. Here, that doesn't happen as the cars are pretty far back. But that is the only thing I can think of that I like here. After completing one season, I hope to never play at these fields again.

They love their LAX up here and it shows!…read more Softball/baseball, soccer, and community garden with plenty of parking at this nice Woodlands facility. And two great modern artificial turf, fully lined and lighted Lacrosse fields! My Tip: Bring a chair as there aren't any "bleachers".
