We will definitely be back! If you need all of the bells and whistles when camping, move along to your girl scout campgrounds, and enjoy the cost! This place is for REAL CAMPERS! Horse riding trails, sights for horse trailer rigs, a tie area for horse on a few of the sights with lake views. Large campsites! There is a pavilion with a few tables if you have a group/party. All at your campsite! Quiet time begins at 10pm. We were up way later sitting by the fire, just turned our radio off at 10pm. Not many campers, which is great! I LOVE this place!

No running water, no showers, no flush toilets, but the outhouses were clean and didn't smell. It's a self-registration system when you get there, no ranger station or reservation system. For $10, it's a pretty good deal. More of a stopover than a destination. My only complaint is that it's very difficult to find and figure out after dark, because some of the signs are tiny and hard to read. It's not clearly marked how you get there on the highway once you see the sign. Once you're off the highway, take the paved road till it ends. Turn left and in a few miles, the campground entrance will be on your right.

This is such a gorgeous and little known part of North Dakota! My dad and I took a day trip there…read morelast summer and it was so beautiful!
