Just received a call at my 91 year old mother's house in Florida leaving a message on answering machine that there are 1 or more missed court dates attached to her #. THIS IS A SCAM FIRM PEOPLE AND I WILL ALSO BE REPORTING THESE A HOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Total scam, got a tax lien letter on a business I do not own, saying that I owe money to a district court that does not exist.

Continually receiving calls. Decided to do my own research. Calls saying I owe property taxes on house sold in 2024. I explained no longer own home and at closing all taxes are paid. I sent copy of closing. If anything, maybe Harris County tax office failed to report taxes owed. But we had escrow where insurance and taxes paid. Unsure why I am in this system but I really want calls to stop. Have had real estate agent involved. No one seems to know why. I' do not own property and if I owe-- I guess this goes into a failure to provide info to property owner. read more

Soooo I got a letter stating that I owed money for a driving w/ license suspended or revoked ticket, from Florida, and the year on that was 2014. It is now 2025. They cannot actively lien, garnish, affect your credit, etc. Because it is out of the SOL (statute of limitations). Know what your states is, and tell them to quit harassing you. If they continue to send you letters, then you have grounds to sue. The more you k ow. read more

nothing about this place is satisfactory. From dysfunctional touch tone dialers that don't allow you to actually select options because it says "press 1 for..." then after I press 1 "thats an invalid entry".. then no callback occurs. they never answer the damn phone, and I'm tired of being forced to deal with ineptitude because they were the cheaper contractor. Complete shit show. Im calling the CFPB and filing a formal complaint on Monday. read more

I came here trying to research this because I suspected a scam. I keep getting calls from this firm and another out of Texas for unpaid property taxes on a home that as near as I can figure is in the Houston area. The funny thing is, I don't live in TX, nor do I own any property in Houston or even anywhere in Texas. Im not a Texas resident. I bought a truck that I'd found on the internet, from a dealership in that area, so I'm thinking maybe the previous owner of my truck did and they just followed the registered owner records? IDK, but it's the only thing that makes sense to me. Pretty poor way to do business on their part if so. read more

This Law Firm keeps sending me letters about a registration from a car in 2011 with an invoice. Not sure what they are referring to since it makes no sense the info in their possession and when I called the court there was no outstanding debt! This doesn't make any sense , please stop sending me letters read more

I have received several text messages, some outside of the hours allowed for this type of call, from number 69346 stating that my phone number, which I have owned for 9 years, is associated with an unpaid City of Wichita Falls TX account. They have left different phone numbers for me to call to resolve it but I'm not calling because I'm not sure if this is a scam or not, but I 1000% know that the outstanding debt is not mine, as I have never even been in the city of Wichita Falls in my entire life. I contacted the City of Wichita Falls directly and they told me I do not have anything under my name. Additionally, I have not received any actual phone calls, emails, or letters to my address so clearly they have the wrong person. Reading through other reviews, it appears this firm is inept and out to take money from anyone, even if there is no outstanding debt. read more

I have continued to tell you to contact ME, not my father. Keep getting threatening letters and calls. Call ME, so we can handle this. The delinquency is because of a misunderstanding. I'm trying to give you money and you guys will not cooperate one bit read more

I got a notice saying I owe $800 for a felony from 13 years ago. Only problem is, the notice isn't even for me! The name on the notice is 2 letters off from mine. This company is a scam and a fraud and I am reporting this to the district attorney for prosecution. I hope they lose their license to practice "law" since they are a SCAM. I also went on the website "Sue a collector" and I am going to attempt to sue them. I am also writing ripoff reports, Google reviews and yelp reviews to let everyone know about this scam. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would, but anyways, they have sent me mail saying I owe on an overdue ticket. A suspended license ticket at that, I have contacted DMV and police station to make sure I don't have a suspended license. I supposedly got this ticket in 2012. It is 2023 now. My license is valid and I do not have a ticket in Florida. read more

Make sure you have about two hours to spare when calling for total hold time and to finally get a representative. The phones are not on until 8:30 am CST despite what that letter states. Also, not telling customers about a convenience fee when paying over the phone is incredibly shady. They include it in your total amount due without disclosure of that fee. They also lie to you about WHEN that payment is processed as well. I just got off the phone with my county clerk who also expressed dismay that they tell people the payment is submitted every Friday when in fact it takes THREE WEEKS. They are known for lying about that & still continue to spread lies. Awful business practices. read more

send random mails for paid tickets still... the number they have on the letter sends you to Hughes net. They seem to be a joke but are real some how. the process of getting ahold of them is excruciating. definitely a zero and they shouldn't be in business read more

Pretty bad when they send empty threats in the mail to inform you that they let a city, that you don't live in and have never lived in, know where you live so if you have warrants to go and get you. You guys aren't much of a law firm more like some ambulance chasing debt collectors. Good luck with that I will find out who I need to pay and it won't be you read more

You might receive a surprising collection notice from this firm for unpaid tolls. If you need to contact them concerning this collection, you will wait on hold. After a lengthy period of time, you will be directed to a voicemail. The mailbox will be full. They do make it very easy for you to pay the fines and not ask any questions. They do not assist you if you have any contentions with the collection. If you call TxTag to complain, they will say it's out of their hands and to contact Perdue, even if they recognize there's been a mistake. You will not be able to reach this law firm as described above. I understand collections are a lawful practice, but it does not appear that this firm is handling it fairly and they should be held accountable. They are likely wronging thousands of Texans who have little recourse if they received their collection notice in error. What Perdue is doing may be lawful but it is also unethical, and they should frankly be ashamed. read more

Guys, it's pretty sad when your on hold for 20 min with no resolution. And the inbox is full..... Tx Tag is handling my situation and it will be resolved. This disgruntle disabled veteran will go out of my way to make sure I share my experiences with your firm to other law abiding citizens who use the toll road! Have a great day....... read more

Just like the previous reviewer we just got a collection letter from PBFCM. What is crazy is that we went last year to the TxTag office and paid all outstanding tolls before getting our toll tags. We were in the process of moving so bills were being sent do different addresses. It is sad that a $2.82 toll can have $50 of "Administrative Fees" added to it when you have a toll tag, and stay current on all bills. TxDot really needs to fix billing so that lawyers can't extort customers into paying $50 for doing nothing to improve things. read more

This was a terrible experience! My toll violation was sent to the completely wrong address. I even called the toll company to make sure I didn't have a fine and it was verified that I didn't prior to my surprising collections notice from this company. I had to call five different times because I kept getting transferred and cut off. I ended up paying 14 times as much as the original toll because of their "fees". I am fine paying for my mistakes but this is ridiculous! I am sure I'm not the only one that has been wronged by this company. read more

Goodluck trying to get a person on the other end of the line. Talk about absolute incompetence. You're not alone if you received a surprise letter regarding fines for a toll. Matter of fact I wouldn't be surprised if there are thousands of others citizens who received the same letter without due cause. Don't forget, the second amendment isn't just for tyrannical rulers. read more

I received a toll collection letter from this firm earlier in the week for a toll ticket for an unpaid toll in Houston yet have never been in Texas. I have tried repeatedly to contact this firm and always get transferred to another full inbox.I did get hold of a young lady at this number who was trying to help me when her phone cut out.that number was 888-468-9824. She informed me it was a black car with my tag number but I just looked in the driveway and my gold ford ranger still has my disabled veteran tag on it. Funny I was working at Maxwell AFB in Montgomery Al. on the day the toll ticket was issued. One fast four cylinder. read more

I just received a collection letter from this firm about "unpaid tolls". The funny thing is that the unpaid tolls are from 2014, and my car had until recently (May 2017) a TxTag sticker. The car was involved in a car accident and was declared total loss. I removed the car from the account on May 2017. I never received any notice. I have a current credit card in my account and I have been living in the same residence for the last 13 years. I saw a youtube video from a local news station saying that if you received a collection letter from the Texas Department of transportation about tolls we should contact the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which is a federal agency dealing with these cases. So, that is what I recommend to anyone in the same situation I am right now. I sent the complaint online with all the info I have and we will see what happens. The consumer protection agency said they will have a response in 2 weeks. read more

I received a collections notice from this attorneys office for tolls that went "unpaid". I believed that the charge was in error because I had not received any previous notices of any toll charges. I called their office to speak to a representative and discuss the situation. I was immediately placed on hold for twenty minutes or so and it went straight to voicemail. I called for two whole days straight from their open time to their close time. I was never able to reach anyone and had left hundreds of messages on peoples voicemails. Not a single person called me back. I called the receptionist and not only was she extremely unhelpful but unecessarily rude. She spoke over me and gave me the excuse that the reason no one called me back was because of a high call volume. For TWO DAYS from 8:30am - 5:00pm?!?!?! Out of the hundreds of messages I left, not a single person could call me back? Yeah, I don't think so. This attorneys office is criminal at best and their customer service is non existent. I called TxTag and resolved the issue within five minutes. ADVICE: Call the toll authority that issued the original fee and settle it with them. Don't even bother with calling this office. If you really want to, call the receptionist and bug the absolute tar out of her just because she's rude. I hope she reads this. 1-800-833-5886 read more
