The owner, Katie Winnington, has a smart & effective team approach to their work and I had the pleasure of working with both Erica Ellison and Britney Keidel as well as Katie on the design and execution of it. The outcome was terrific and the designers on my project were outstanding. I would say anyone going through a renovation has to have realistic expectations about the many challenging and difficult dynamics any quality interior design company deals with at any given time. What was nice was that they kept me informed. They told me if there was a supply chain issue on something I wanted to order. They told me if there was an unexpected hiccup in something. And each person, Erica, Britney and Katie, are very good at what they do. Any person doing a renovation of anything - a house, a room, a condo -who thinks it is easy work for the designer has unrealistic expectations. It is an extremely difficult business, and they earn every penny they charge. I had the cell phone numbers of each person with C&E I was working with, and if I had a question, and they were considerate about responding timely. I strongly recommend this company. Renovations are difficult: Be kind, thoughtful, reasonable and patient to who you work with when you undertake one. It pays enormous dividends - especially when you have people working as hard as the C&E team worked for me!

We worked with Lynn who was very attentive to our needs and requests. She found the perfect pieces for our home. We were able to get delivery the following day. That fit perfectly with our schedule. The items came to the home protected in a lot of wrap and the delivery folks were very concerned about all the flooring as they came into the home. The delivery was on time! What I thought were sheets turned out to be a duvet cover. As soon as I realized the mistake I immediately went back to the store to make an exchange. I was met by the rudest sales person I have ever dealt with. I explained the situation and was told all sales are final. Lexi went on to lie and say she told me at checkout what I was purchasing stating it is their policy to do so. There were 2 of us checking out, my daughter in law and I both heard Lexi say "These are standard size pillow cases, are you aware of that?" To which we both replied yes. She never mentioned the duvet, had she done so we would have realized the error immediately. The duvet was in the bin labeled Queen size SHEETS. It was an honest mistake. I was not asking for a refund, just a simple exchange. I have been buying S&L since 2009 but am sad to say they lost a good customer. Will never shop at any Serena and Lily store/outlet/online again. I reached out to Manager and customer support with no luck. The lack of respect for loyal customers begins with their corporate team and ends with local store managers. The owner is very unreliable, we tried to call him for a week straight to get him to come pick up our furniture. When we did finally get ahold of him he said he would come over to pick up our furniture that day, but never showed up. This happened for about a week straight of us calling him and him saying he would come by to pick up the furniture and he was just a no show. We finally had him stop by our house to pick the furniture up and we had to take physically move the furniture into his truck with little to no help from him. Never again will I ever use him or refer him to anyone. Worst experience I've had trying sell or buy furniture.
