This company is awful. Zero communication and very unreliable. Did not complete the full scope of work that they had bid in the job and still wanted full payment. Not only that, but I called every day twice a day for over a week and no one returned my phone call. They also promised to get the scope of work done in less than four days and took two weeks to do. Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience with this company. I requested for a bedroom to be primed and painted and a very small powder room to be skimmed and painted. The first painter who came over did a terrible job and didn't skim the bathroom as instructed and the wrong type of paint was used. It was Promar 200 which is a contractor paint when it should have been super paint. Additionally, there were numerous spots where the paint didn't adhere to the trim properly and there were spots on the wall that were missed. A week later 2 different painters had to come to correct all the former mistakes. However, after they left there were still some spots that were not covered properly. I feel I was overcharged and the work was very poorly done. read more

Perfect painters I had our entire house except the basement painted last summer by perfect painters. I have been back and forth on leaving a review but the email I got from them today stating they have openings, thanking me for their trust, and to schedule for Feb helped me to decide to post. I interviewed a few painters and Perfect Painterd seemed the best fit. They sent 3-4 people initially, some of the group were teenagers that spoke none to minimal English. The painting was rushed, sloppy and unprofessional. I ended up with several spots missed, bumpy walls, pocks on walls, drips on walls, wall corners not fixed as promised, dirty hand prints on walls, spilled paint on my front steps, which they did clean. My walls were previously smooth and became unsmooth in several places. They never removed switch plates as promised and the color transitions between walls was sloppy. After I called and made them aware that I was not satisfied, they sent a new group to try to remedy some of the issues that I sent pictures of, at least 30 plus pictures of different areas. They also sent a manager that said I had a good eye, honestly a visually impaired person would notice the issues easily. We were painted before going away and had to wait a few weeks to attempt to have things repaired which were done half assed. I was also asked to pay more money and met them halfway because they said they had to pay a new crew. Maybe if they hired people who could effectively do the job that wouldn't occur. Overall the painters were nice but just not good at painting. Lauren in the office was nice and understanding. Funny thing is they called me 1-2 months after confusing me either another customer with the same last name that had issues as well. Now about 7 months later I still notice areas that weren't painted even close to correctly, drips in many spots, non smooth areas etc. I am questioning whether 2 coats were done and if so we they allowed ample time to dry. It's frustrating to have to live with the fact that I felt taken advantage of. I work for the school system and summers is when I am free to get large house jobs taken care of. read more

Perfect Painters did a really sloppy job. There was paint all over my floors, sink, toilette, toilette paper holders, countertops, etc. They offered to come "clean it up" and mentioned a potential charge for the paint. They came and once again did a terrible job. I'm still cleaning up paint residue all over my house. They also did a terrible job with the coats, it seems like they only did one coat (which would make sense given the short amount of time it took them to paint 3/4 of a townhouse). The gray paint from our previous paint job is still visible at some spots. read more

We hired Perfect Painters to paint a kitchen, dining room, and utility room, and stain and seal a new deck. Perfect Painters appears to consist of two men, one woman and many Hispanic painters. As other posters note, they seem to have a communication problem with their workers who show up with no idea what the work was or the paint to use. I had to show them the email I had sent to Perfect Painters to tell them what they were to do and what paint to use. The workers reused to paint a rosette in the ceiling and did not paint a small closet in the kitchen. The effort lasted one day. The deck was supposed to have a matte finish. The first coat looked great. The second coat was high gloss. I called to complain, and Jeff Quant said: "we used what you said to use" and hung up. Matte finishes use diffusers that reflect the light in all directions. They reside in bottom of the can until mixed/stirred up. It appears that the workers did not stir stain/sealer. Hence the gloss coat that I did not want. read more

We found this company through the Five Star rated booklet that everyone receives on their doorstep. After scheduling an estimate, Jeff Quante came to our house and priced up repainting our entire home. When the estimate came out to more than we wanted, we were able to negotiate a fairer deal as long as we agreed to the work at that time and paid a third of the cost of the job as a deposit. The job was then scheduled for approximately a month later on a Monday. We heard nothing more from the company, then on the Sunday night before at 10pm I received a text from someone named Michael which read: "Sorry for the late notice, but I need to reschedule. My crew is still working on another job and am just now getting notice that they were unable to complete this job over the weekend. I can have another crew come out on Tuesday." Needless to say we were very unimpressed with what can only be described as unprofessional conduct. How about you check with your crew sooner about whether they finish their work or not?! A real red flag raised early on about their communication internally as well as to paying customers. I tried to call Michael the next day to find out what was going on. He didn't answer so I left a voicemail asking what was going on. Then five minutes later I get a call from someone named Andrew who said they could not come out until Thursday. Clearly Michael listened to the voicemail and then told this Andrew guy to call me, why not just have the courtesy to talk to me yourself? Andrew also says that they'll send out a larger crew so they can get the job done within 3 days. So finally on Thursday the crew shows up, and its 3 guys including the crew leader Edwin. 3 guys is a larger crew?! I really don't think so. On top of that Edwin doesn't have the correct information on his job sheet (we asked for semi gloss not flat paint) and also is unable to color match the paint we wanted without getting me to text him the label on my sample paint pot. At least he finally managed Anyway Edwin's two person crew work hard on the first day, and for the next 3 days are joined by another guy. The quality of the paint job is very good, bordering on excellent. However after 4 days of solid work, there is still work to be done to finish. Edwin is not present on the 4th day but it becomes clear that although they would like to finish on the 4th day, there is too much left to do to complete the job. Edwin wants all his crew to begin another job the next day, but after a brief and somewhat curt phone discussion with him (which I'll put that down to his broken English rather than his overall manner) he relents. So one guy, who I'd say is the most experienced of Edwin's crew, comes back on Tuesday and works a half day completing the job to an excellent standard. I did not get his name but he was the standout performer. I gave him the check for the balance of the job and also a survey which indicated my displeasure with the unprofessional manner of Michael and to a lesser extent Andrew. However, several weeks later I have received no form of apology for it, even though I indicated I would "maybe" hire them again - I told Jeff Quante some time ago that we were thinking of getting our flooring replaced. I did receive something in the mail from them (including them getting my address wrong on the envelope?!) - business cards and a request for a referral, and not from Michael but from Ryan Taylor. As you can imagine, they went in the trash. Bottom line is that the crew they used did a very good job of the paintwork, drywall repair and wallpaper removal, so I can recommend them for that. But the professionalism, courtesy and customer service of the "higher up's" Michael and Andrew was very poor. Therefore I can only say they are OK. If you use them be prepared to be messed around with scheduling. And Michael, don't send text messages to customers at the last minute. And answer them when they call you. read more

Bottom line: Perfect Painters & More delivers professional-quality painting at a very competitive price point. Everyone we dealt with before, during, and after the work was responsive, respectful, and showed a genuine desire to provide good service. The estimation/sales process is quick and painless. I would consider hiring them again. We hired Perfect Painters & More to paint the entire interior of our home, including all walls, ceilings, baseboards, trim, closets, and doors. In addition, they painted our six shutters and front door and did the final skimming and sanding for a span of drywall we'd just added. We shopped around a lot before settling on PP&M, so I can say with confidence that their pricing is very competitive. It's hard to say anything more quantifiable without getting into numbers, and every job is different, so I'll just say it was a good value and leave it at that. The quality of the paint job was what one would reasonably expect from experienced professionals. That said, there were a few exceptions: 1. Their precision when cutting in around the ceiling and baseboards was good, but I've hired painters for past jobs who did better. 2. We had PP&M do some drywall filling/patching and, while it was mostly done well, a few spots don't blend in very discreetly. 3. Most troublesome, perhaps, is that they would have done a few things incorrectly if we hadn't checked in regularly. I don't want to sound too harsh here, as no one should be expected to read minds, but a couple of the things we needed them to correct were baffling and suggested a lack of either experience or common sense. 4. The painters snagged and ripped the vinyl flooring in our laundry enclosure when moving the dryer. Fortunately, the damage was done near the back of the enclosure. To be fair, I should mention that we didn't bring this up to our project manager, so I can't speak to what his response might have been. I'm pleased with the end result. It's not perfect, but I continue to regard the overall value of the engagement as "very good" and would definitely consider hiring PP for a similar project in the future. Jeff was our estimator and general point of contact. He was very professional throughout the whole process, was able to work with our schedules/timelines, and was quick to respond to inquiries. Martin was the foreman for our job. He was very friendly and professional. If we wanted something done in a specific way, all we had to do was ask and he'd make sure it was done. read more

Thinking once I spoke to the owner about some reviews that I was concerned about in the area of communication, he said that its better now. One painter spoke English well the others not so much. We are not happy with the quality of work that was done. In some places things looked fine but others had issues. A good portion of the edging needed to be touched up. I found a section of trim on the stairs that was missed. They did rescheduled the touch up work but took a few days to come back and the touch up work was fine. In conclusion, the walls were fine, most trim was okay, but details like edging and drips required a second visit. read more

It looked good on the last day as I am rushed through the walk through, but now I've seen dozens of nail pops they did not fix as I was told they would take care of, small holes that they did not fill, paint drips everywhere, and the kicker was a spot I showed them, and asked if I should sand it and they said "oh no we'll do that" and the painted right over it. We had a terrible experience with Perfect Painters and More. I got a recommendation from someone in the neighborhood for a kitchen remodel and the sales person seemed great so we decided to go with them. What a disaster! They had terrible communication with their subcontractors who often showed up with no real idea of what they were doing. For example, on the first day we had chosen paint for cabinets and the painters showed up having no idea what paint or who was getting it. Nobody from Perfect Painters even came to my house once after we signed the contract (until I complained a bunch and the marketing guy came). The work was really poor and they acted like I was being too picky - paint edges left chipped, no edging to the floor they installed until I complained, painters were doing the plumbing which caused an issue etc. We had our countertops replaced with expensive quartz by their partner AGS (advanced granite solutions) and they did a terrible job too. When I complained about the quartz, Perfect Painters just asked if I could finish paying them with no care about making me happy. It was only when I refused to pay them that they had the counters fixed (even then, it took about 6 weeks and included a day where the tile guy came and tore up the new backsplash only to find out afterwards that the quartz counters were on backorder and he had to come back weeks later). Stay away. You have been warned. read more

So it's been a very long time and I was stunned, but Ryan reached out to me almost a year after the horrible experience I had with them in 2018 and offered to fix the incorrectly painted room. (There were 2, actually, but he offered to repaint 1 for free, which is better than nothing, and frankly, I didn't have the time or energy to dismantle more than 1 room anyway.). The gentleman he sent was great, courteous, fast but not rushed, used the right paint !!!!! and left my those walls looking SO much better. Hired them to power wash and paint a shed on our farm. When the day came the painters knew nothing about matching the color of the shed to what was already painted. ("I'll try but I can't promise anything." were their words.) They knew nothing about any power washing and than told me they needed water which is 150 feet away. I told them our pump couldn't do it and didn't they have a water truck. (No and they would have to call the office). I went inside the shed for a minute and when I came out they were gone. I waited for 2 days on what the future plan was and heard nothing. I called them and was told to expect a return call. 3 days later I called again and told them I was concerned about this situation and not hearing anything as I had already made a deposit ($870.00) and can't get a idea of what is happening or a return call. If they couldn't do the job it was fine just return my money and I would get someone who could do the job. ("Yes sir I will have him call you tonight.") Now it has been 5 more days and still no call. If you use these people in my opinion you deserve what happens to you! read more

The office was easy to reach and quick to rectify a scheduling misunderstanding and get our job booked as soon as possible because we were working with a tight deadline for moving. The team who does the work is different than the person who does the estimate--for our job, Ever's team arrived promptly, and once we told them what we wanted done they worked efficiently and didn't leave a trace except for the excellent painting, with clean edges and a very smooth finish. Paid a deposit June 3, they never showed up to start work and never returned calls, finally got ahold of them Sept 18, they promised to start Sept 21, they never showed up, called again and was told crew went to the wrong location but they could not commit to having the crew at my house at all this week (tells me they never planned to have the crew show up). They tell me they are refunding my deposit, we will see. In the mean time my house badly needed painting before winter and it is now to lTe to line anyone else up. read more

I wish I would have read all the reviews before I worked with this company. It's been a year and it's still not resolved. I WANT MY DEPOSIT MONEY BACK. I paid a deposit to Sam but cancelled my job within 7days. I was told they could only give me half back because of some covid law. There is nothing on the contract that say anything about covid law regulations. So another offer was to do something else that would run around the same amount as my deposit. WHY WOULD I DO THAT so they can upcharge me NO WAY. I Just want my money back. There poor customer service is very bad. I hate when people try to take advantage of people and this has happen to me. Ryan came to the home for the evaluation and estimate. At a different time, two gentlemen showed up for the job- old house (exterior painting wood windows) and left a total mess when I got home at the end of the day. It appeared that a drop cloth was not used and paint chips was left all over the front of the house, no real sanding was done to remove the old paint, my green shutters had white paint on them, and paint was spilled on our slate roof. After contacting Ryan and sending pictures to complain, I was given no apologies for the leftover mess or any suggestions on correcting the situation. I was only told that they could not complete the job because it was a "huge challenge". What was the estimate for if they could not do the work as discussed? Anyway, the job was canceled. The gentlemen came back the next day to pickup their supplies and still did not bother to clean up anything. Just grabbed their stuff and left. This is the worst customer service that I have experienced in a very long time. A far cry from being Perfect Painters. read more

Horrible Experience! We had the roof painted summer of 2014 with a two year warranty. Less than a year later the paint is peeling and looks terrible. Called the company numerous times and was always polite. Repeated requests left with Darlene (I believe was her name), the secretary, and in voicemail for the owner--nothing. No return phone calls, no visits to have a look, no warranty repair. The roof is still a wreck. Only when my daughter called posing as a new client did they call back.
