I've been hesitant to try massage here in the Imperial Valley, especially as a transgender woman, but Consuelo was very nice and didn't make me feel unwelcome or unsafe. On the contrary, she's very easy to feel comfortable around, and she made me feel perfectly at ease throughout my time in her studio. Her massage work is firm enough to release the tension from your muscles but not so hard as to be uncomfortable. We walked past a waiting room downstairs with cold water and hot tea, while she showed me to a very clean, large locker rooms with a steam room. I came ahead of time to change into slippers and gown, plus use those facilities. The spa rooms are upstairs where there is a balcony with gorgeous mountain desert views. My massage was serene with deep pressure as requested. I left totally rejuvenated and was extremely thankful to Mayra. I will be back without a doubt!
