Not only did she give bad vibes but she must have massaged my neck wrong because my glands were swollen and sore for a few days after I left there. I miss Suki. Also, lady who did my pedicare was not careful enough not to make my sensitive toes bleed. Would use Fitness Oasis for everything else. Their stylists, classes and facility are great.

She also does my eyebrows and I get complimented on them all the time. What I LOVE about this gym is that it's very unintimidating. You can roll out of bed, slap on an old t-shirt and some sweat pants and no one is going to judge you. It's not like coed gyms (I also have a 24 hr fitness membership)... Also, it doesn't matter what fitness level you're at. I really appreciate that. What I wished was better: More machines and newer machines. The machines aren't old but there are better ones out there. The spin class is done in front of a screen- no instructor. Pool is nice but small. * I just changed my rating from 4* to 2* because the treadmills were breaking down and instead of getting new ones, they got replaced with OLD treadmills. Who does that? That would never fly in a bigger city where there's more competition. For $49 a month, I think the customers deserve better than that.

I decided to get my hair colored done for the very FIRST TIME here with Mychelle. I've never had it…read morecolored and I did not want something extreme and crazy. So I decided to get an Ombre. Please keep in mind that I know Mychelle because I've gone to her for haircuts in the past and only haircuts. I do like the way she cuts hair so I thought she would be good at doing my ombre because there was that sense of trust. I signed up for the following service: haircut and ombre. Before I started I showed her pictures of the color I wanted and how I wanted it to be done. I told her that I wanted my hair to look as natural with a light shade of brown. Well what I got was extreme and not what I wanted. Something that concerned during the process was when her mother, Lulu came over and told her daughter that the way she was bleaching my hair was that she was using too much product and told her to do it this way. At that point it was too late to stop, my hair was already bleached. I decided to just continue despite that red flag , I mean if her mother is coming over to tell her how to bleach my hair then wouldn't you be concerned? Then later in the process when she took off the foil I noticed that parts of my hair was bleached more than others. I was mortified but stayed quiet. I thought that maybe with the color it won't be noticeable. Then she came over asking me to pick a color scheme from a book for my hair. I was so confused in terms of what she was asking. I told her and showed her pictures of how I wanted it to be done in the beginning. She just said to pick a color and none of the colors look close to the color I wanted. She suggested a few colors but it was it wasn't any that I loved or the shade that I wanted. At this point I was confused because I thought that hair professionals mixed colors to get to a color that the client would want. Or know how to mix colors to get to get to different shades. I didn't know that there were shades already ready to go that you pick from a book and then that's how they color your hair. Like I said this is my first time getting my hair colored and I didn't know the process for it. This was not mentioned to me at all in the beginning before starting. If this was how it going to be then I would never have decided to get my hair colored. So I picked one of her recommendations because at this point it was too late to turn back. I did not like how my hair turned out. I even told her that and she suggested that to give it a few weeks and if I still don't like it then that she can tone it for free. Well more than a few weeks have gone by and I still hate it. I decided not to take her up on the offer for toning it down. She had lost my trust and once my trust has been lost then i could never go back. How can I trust her with my hair ever again? The only thing I liked was the haircut but the color was not what I wanted and I wanted to cry. I paid $295 for a haircut and ombre. It was expensive for something I did not like. I feel like I was cheated and now it's been a few months since this incident. I did not want to write this review but then again I was not at fault and I want to warn others and not have anyone else go through the horrible experience I went through. I do not reccomend Mychelle or this salon to anyone. She does not know how to color hair. She is a complete novice. The salon charges high prices for haircuts and haircolors. Not worth the dime. Please see pictures of my hair of the incident vs what I was really looking for. I hope my review helps someone.

My OPI polish chipped w/in 2-3 days which irritated me quite a bit. Especially since they did use a base and top coat. The pedicure itself was well done, the shop is neat and clean and they have a giant flat screen TV. Too bad they were watching a soap opera, blech. The price seemed a little high for the area, $57 total before tip. yeesh. Overall I probably wouldn't go back but for a onetime deal it sufficed.

Went to the IV Mall in El Centro and decided to treat myself and my step-daughter to a pedicure and…read moremanicure. The shop was basically dead except for one other woman (very unusual for a Saturday at most nail salons) I sat down for my pedi and the water was luke warm at best, and I noticed the other nail tech working on a woman with OBVIOUS nail fungus in her nails on her big toe on each foot. I was sickened and got a bit nervous as they began working on me. The other woman was finished with her pedi and was moved to a nail station and asked to make sure they were not using any of the same equipment on me as they had on her. The nail tech that had worked on the other woman became a bit defensive and said he had her tools with him so he could clean them. I have worked as a spa coordinator for several years and it was always practice to refuse service to patrons with apparent signs of foot fungus or other communicable infections on the skin and nails. Not only that the service was horrible as they did not properly trim the cuticles, remove dead skin or calluses, and the nail polish was horribly applied. I asked them to perform a traditional manicure for my step daughter and they just painted her nails but charged me the price of a spa manicure. The place in dingy, and dusty and they are really behind in nail care and trends.
