Terrible. I send in a prescription in December and finally got a call in February. If you try to call them, you go into some sort of queue where they will call you back in order. I am extremely unhappy with Performance Home Medical. To begin with, you are on hold/call for anywhere between 4-6 hours waiting for a call back. A customer service agent told me that I did not need an appointment and that I could drop off the machine at anytime which was not true after I had driven off Island with a two hour ferry wait both directions. At three months, I ordered new supplies. Since I didn't receive the, I called and they had no record of the order. She reordered and again and of course, I did not receive the supplies and so a third CSA reordered which I did receive. After I received the 3rd order, I received a letter from PHM, instructing me to get an appointment with my Dr. to approve the order which they had on file already. It has been one mishap after another. I dread calling them and hoping I can find another supplier. read more

It is impossible to get your CPAP supplies. They do not answer their phone. They have terrible customer service. I am trying to locate a new provider that is reliable and responsive. Honestly I don't know how things could be much worse with a company that is supposed to provide medical supplies. I was approved for a new c-pap machine as mine is 8 years old and my Philips machine has been recalled. No one seems to have cared that the machine was recalled and the only way I knew was that I saw it on Facebook. After my sleep study appointment, Performance Home Medical was authorized to provide a new machine. No one called me to say it was ready so I called and they said they had the paper work. 3 WEEKS later and I still have no new machine. I've called 3 times and was promised return calls. Nothing. I called again today only to be told that someone had sent me a docu-sign on Friday because I wanted the machine shipped. No call to say look for a docu-sign which looked like spam. I've tried to contact them no less than 10 times. 10 phone calls, 5 emails and I've never gotten to speak to a person. One representative responded to one email and then stopped responding. I am typing this review while I'm on hold AGAIN with Performance Home Medical. I have dealt with too many errors and poor customer service. I was sent the wrong supplies in December 21. Tubing was too narrow and I only got one disposable filter. I guess they expect the filter to last 6 months, although it's supposed to be changed every month (so sayeth my CPAP machine every 30 days). They also are supposed to send the reusable/washable portion of the filter (that's the part that should last 6 months) but I did not receive one. I ended up going on Amazon to buy filters. In June the Performance Home Medical order department called again to set up another order. I reviewed the issue with the tubing and the rep assured me that they had the larger diameter tubing and would send it. I also reviewed the issues sending me no reusable/washable filters (should have gotten 1) and only 1 disposable filter (should have gotten 6). I was assured this would all be fixed. When I received my order, I still got the wrong (too narrow) hose and only one disposable filter. I've been trying to fix this issue for several months. Meanwhile, Performance Home Medical has been calling me about the unpaid December bill. I've called back and left a message but never got a return call. Now they are calling about the unpaid June bill as well. I gave them my insurance information in December. When I called last week, I finally got a live representative who was actually very pleasant and appeared interested. She informed me that they got my insurance information "two weeks ago" when I called them. But I didn't call them and the only time I gave them the updated information was December 2021. So I assume they sent my insurance information into the twilight zone for 8.5 months before retrieving it. I was told by the rep that my account has been taken off any delinquency and they would be filing the correct insurance shortly. I was then transferred over from the "billing" representative to the "supplies" representative. I explained all of the above and requested that they provide me with a return label to return the June order since it was incorrect. All the supplies are in original, unopened packaging. She stated she needed to get a supervisor's approval in order for me to return the equipment. Supervisor then got on the phone and told me they would only accept the tubing and wouldn't accept anything else. I reviewed that all the supplies I received were still in original pristine condition in the unopened packaging. She again refused to accept the return. I asked for her supervisor and she refused, stating she was "the supervisor." I informed her I am confident she has a supervisor and to have them call me. She stated she would pass my message along. Her tone was sarcastic. I tried to inform her of good times for a call back to me. She started shouting at me that I couldn't tell her when and how I was to get a call back. I calmed her down and clarified with her that I wasn'at trying to demand a certain time for a phone call, but simply to make sure they knew what times were good to reach me. I informed that supervisor that she was "the most unhelpful person I have ever dealt with." We ended the call. Her supervisor never called me back. I waited 8 days with no response. I then called back. Waited 45-50 minutes on hold before reaching a representative. She heard my story (again) and then connected me with a supervisor. Supervisor very tersely informed me I would be getting a call from a director in the next few minutes. It has now been an hour and a half, and no call back. It's now after 5 pm so I doubt I will be hearing from them. read more

How is this company still in business? I have dealt with pretty bad businesses over the years and Non-Performance Home Medical takes the cake! I had ordered a new C-Pap machine and was told it was a small device easy to travel with. It was bigger than my old machine and I decided to return the never used machine. After 3 attempts to get a return shipping label of which I was told "it is coming", I was able to get off of work early and physically drop it off at their Redmond location. In the meantime, they charged my credit card over $460 for 1 month rental of the never used machine. I have called accounting 3 times to be told that "Amy" will be calling me back. She has never called back, and she never will. I will now be forced to do a charge back and hopefully my credit card company will side with me. I know there are not a lot of choices out there... do yourself a favor and skip Non-Performance. They will fail you. At this point, I would rather die from my sleep apnea than to ever deal with these inept shiesters! read more

I have read all the complaints about this company and I totally agree. The customer service is horrible! The only thing they are good at is hounding you with emails and messages to order more supplies. HOWEVER...I called this morning and spoke with Yusuf and was extremely pleased. This gentleman was very professional, found the information I needed and helped me with my equipment problem. I was searching the web for another company to work with until I spoke with Yusuf. Terrible service and experience. What tops all is that they send me a letter that apparently was not the truth. The letter says i had the option to pay privately for the rental of the equipment but I call and they say that is not an option and that I have to bring back the machine. It was a rent to own, now my insurance company and I are out money (6 out of 10 months paid) and I am unable to get a new machine covered by insurance. Very deceiving and awful customer service. They do not care about their customers and they just want the machine back so they can resell it/re rent it to make dbl/triple off the same machine, is obvious because their voicemails and letters are threatening saying "bring the machine back or we will send to collections!" before even asking how they can help or what they can do to help or even sending a bill of any kind. You can order the same replacement parts from Amazon for a fraction of the cost. If your insurance covers, they will still reimburse what is owed to you. PHM was charging my husband for a full headset replacement with mask and hoses every few months but only sending replacement mask and hose. The headset is the most expensive part. They were charging us for parts we never received and we didn't even know it. This is a ripoff and Swedish is allowing them to rip off patients. read more

I have been enduring Performance Home Medical for almost 16 years. Every order I place requires multiple follow-up calls and results in disgust. I honestly can no longer deal with lost orders, three-week shipping time (which for them is virtually "next-second air") and, never, ever, ever, being able to speak with a human representative on the day I dial their listed telephone number. When you do call their number, you have the good fortune to experience an endless circular directory of how to annoy you further and defer your call to another useless electronic dead-ended trail of how we'd rather not have to deal with you, only to be followed by the inevitable perpetual on-hold music complete with further requests to not waste their time. That was a run-on sentence but should have outlined the experience you shall certainly encounter. Actually, employing commonly accepted scientific proof models, I have little evidence to support that there are actually people on the premises they list as their address. I've honestly given them a fair opportunity (16 years now) to improve their customer service, inventory control, logistics, processing, and communication model. You can further identify they have removed any type of "Tell us how we're doing" feedback interactive element from their website and any post-call verbal or electronic voice request to take a customer satisfaction service survey for obvious reasons. I cannot imagine how many customer complaints their poor employees must field on a weekly basis. It certainly must exceed the number of sales orders they create as their performance certainly encourages customers to complain more than once. It must be horrible to work there. The employees should receive Federal Disaster funding. Please, for the sake of your sanity and health, select an alternate provider. Find one in South America, Europe, Antarctica, or in a Middle East war zone. No other entity could possibly fail to perform a well as PHM. I've reached out to many others who try to use them as a supply source, and it seems this somewhat is the consensus amongst patients. read more

Once we figured out the exact supplies I need, they send me the right ones every time. I also have a number to call them directly. So far so good! Am new client here but so far everybody has been super amazing! Very polite friendly and knowledgeable! I dont remember his name (had small glasses) he was very nice and great helping me feel comfortable about my new product. I have also called them for help on the phone with questions. It took a few min to get on the line but had an option for callback within 24hrs if didnt want to wait! (AWESOME to offer when dont have time) The lady who helped me was very reassuring and helped me navigate through options with ease. Letting me know this is normal and ok always helps relax anybody doing something new! I am still a newby here so maybe things will change(only for better I hope ) but so far A+ for the team in Kent! This says NOT GOOD....believe me this company is way worse than NOT GOOD.......have for months been trying to get a supervisor to calll me...Apparentlyyou do not have any supervisors there as I have never had a call returned. I even went to the Mt Vernon Performance Home Medican and I swear the young lady there was as social as a rattle snake...I ask for a supervisor..NONE...I have called several times to and NOTHING..Once on a call I ask for someone to call me...NOTHING!! Now they have turned the account over to collections....First of all, we owe nothing....and if we did we would be happy to pay for it...Your company is totally run by very low standard of help. We at the very least deserve to speak to a kind person that actually wants to resolve the problem...I have called, written, called more and emailed more. I guess the next step is the attorned Generals office...this could be basically with someone with an interest in solving situations. Very Disappointing! I've been getting supplies from PHM for years, but this last time, when I came in with a specific headgear issue they provided me with a very unsatisfactory solution. After struggling with the new headgear for two nights I contacted the mask mfr. and learned that they have a design that exactly answers the issue I had. The new design has been out for a long time, yet PHM doesn't provide it and won't for "at least three months". I'm told I cannot return the new mask -- only substitute it for another (which would be fine if they carried the right mask!) PHM has been very aggressive contacting me when it's time for new supplies, but when it comes to providing the right equipment PHM is very poor! read more

My wife has called back on two separate occasions and I have called twice also, to give them the new information. We have left our contact information and they haven't responded. This is not the first time they have asked for a callback and then not made any other attempt to respond back after we return the call. Finally, I got frustrated with them and ordered it from cpap.com which arrived within 2 days. Zero stars!!! I've been a PHM customer since before they were PHM but they aren't the company they used to be. Clearly they are focused on profit rather than good patient care and customer service. I ordered a mask and associated gear and that order was "filled" on 12/15/2020. However the order and paperwork was never delivered to shipping so it sat on a shelf for two weeks. My first call to inquire about the order resulted in someone telling me that they would have to Email someone to find out about the order status and that they would get back to me shortly. Not having heard back the next day I called again only to find out that the previous person never followed through. So the person I was now talking with found the order (without having to Email someone else) and found that it was fulfilled two weeks prior but not shipped. She said that she would personally take the paperwork to shipping and see that it gets processed. At that time I asked if they could expedite shipping in order to remove any further delays in my getting the equipment that I needed. She didn't know if she would be able to do that and I expressed that I didn't think that was to much to ask for. The next day I get an Email with a tracking number and that's when I found out that the package was shipped by the cheapest and slowest method possible and that it would take a full eight days to arrive. It's worth noting, the method of shipping was "UPS SurePost" which is basically UPS waiting five days after they receive the package then giving it to the USPS to deliver. So basically in order for PHM to save a couple of bucks on shipping, my order (that was delayed for two weeks because of incompetence's) sat in a UPS warehouse for five days before being given to the USPS for them to deliver to me. To add insult to injury, their response to a complaint I filled via Email suggested that maybe next time I order a newer style mask so that I could pick it up in person from one of their locations. In other words, it was my mistake for not ordering something I could go pick up rather than relying on their ability to ship an order (what was I thinking). It's worth noting that this is all after being inodiated with solicitation Emails from them all but demanding that I order products from them. Their company is full of middle management people who have no concept of what good customer service is. P.S. The Email response I got from them was signed "Customer Service" rather than a name. They give great service if you have great insurance. They basically just milk your insurance and you for all your worth. They are way over priced you can buy your own machine for what they charged me for my rental " start up package ". Worse billing practices ever. Companies like this are the reason the healthcare system is broken. For example they charged me $283.15 for a humidifier chamber that in later bought for my self on amazon for $28.74. #performancehomemedical These guys get worse and worse. There billing managers idea of an apology was a half baked un-researched excuse. I would strongly caution anyone who is considering doing business with Performance Home Medical. My experience has been troubled, to say the least. While the service staff at the clinic level were great, their back-office operations are horribly flawed. Their billing system is broken, no other way to put it. They invoice late (if at all), do not properly reconcile insurance payments and what's worse, refuse to assist in cleaning up messes their business office creates. Caveat Emptor, big time. read more

I have been dealing with Jen in the medical billing department and she is such a breath of fresh air, she is always willing to help even when it is outside her job description, she is very professional and all around caring person. If I could give zero stars, I would. This company is a scam. At the end of the month, I scheduled a pick up for the rented equipment. They were able to pick up 4 days later, which brought me into the next month and billing cycle. The equipment was in their possession but they still charged for the full month. To make matters worse, the customer service representative, Roseann, was unhelpful and completely rude. What a shame to have someone like her working in a health care company. I've been using PHM for the past two years and they have taken very good care of me. I just spoke to Ashley to have my CPAP readings sent to my Dr. for my appointment tomorrow , and she was pleasant and professional. Also, I just turned 65 and Roseanne is doing a great job changing the billing to Medicare/Tricare for Life. And whoever is scheduling filters, masks, etc for my CPAP machine is always right on time. They have changed to heavy handed collection tactics, calls on Sunday mornings with threats. Other than their stupid automated phone system, my husband and I both think this is a great company. We fought with another company... one that begins with the letter "A"... for years while we dealt with the most inept employees ever. When Performance Home Medical began to accept our insurance, we changed ASAP. The staff at Performance Home Medical is efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. We don't get a bzillion marketing calls like we did from the other company, they haven't made any billing errors (like the other company) and they don't send us unwanted and unordered supplies like the other company did. Back to the automated phone system: when we first used this company, an actual receptionist would answer the phone and a call could be taken care of within a minute or two. The system they have now would bring my rating down at least a point and maybe more if I was grading based on that. I just wasted nearly 15 minutes on "Hold" with their current system. read more

I am having nothing but difficulties in dealing the Performance Home Medical. It all started out smelling like roses but it's no where near that smell now. I told the staff at the Kennewick office I was moving to Kansas. They were all oh nice and everything will be good. But halfway in my trip to Kansas I got a call telling me I couldn't take the equipment out of state. It seems that Medicare is not a Federal Program. Then I was told a box would be shipped to me to return the oxygen concentrator. Too bad they don't read their own information as that box got shipped to my old address. So, after correcting them on their mistake another month has gone by and I get a call asking me when I'm going to return the equipment. Huh, where's the box??? And now they want me to return the CPAP machine. NO ONE EVER TOLD ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO RETURN THE CPAP. I told them in no way was I going to return the CPAP until I have a replacement. What kind of slipshod organization is PHM? Worst company I've ever dealt with. One star was much too high of a score for them. Don't use them even if your doctor sends you to them. I've been a patient of PHM for several years, without any problems. Then: I ordered CPAP supplies (in response to their reminder) over a month ago and have never received them. Three calls over three weeks to the "Sleep Coaches" resulted in no concrete information except, "we'll send the supply department an email and ask them." The third lady I talked to (after a month) told me to contact the order department myself. I called, worked through the phone "bush," was on hold for forty minutes and then asked for a call-back "based upon my place in line." I got a call 20 hours later, (which I missed.) A second call back came 14 hours after I called yet again, and was told "Oh, they're being delivered today, do you want the tracking information? I will email it to you." Ten hours later, they aren't delivered, (maybe not their fault) nor did I get an email with tracking information (definitely their fault.) I know these are difficult times, but some of us depend upon this company for our health, well-being and even lives. Honesty and follow-through would be appreciated. I'm changing providers as soon as I can. read more

My first experience with this company was extremely frustrating. I had an appointment at their Sequim, WA location, and arrived at the address at least 20 minutes early. The address I was given was a street number with no unit number, so imagine my frustration when I got there and found a medical office complex with three or four buildings and dozens of offices. I drove around the complex for 10 or 15 minutes looking for a sign to give me a clue what building they were in. There was none. I called their number hoping in vain that someone on the other end could give me a clue. I say "in vain" because you can't call the local office, you get sent to a call center somewhere else in the country where, if you ever get someone to answer, they no doubt don't have a clue because they're on the other side of the country. That's irrelevant because when you call them you get put on hold for a minimum of ten or fifteen minutes anyway, probably closer to 30-60 minutes. I did manage to find a suite number by looking them up online, but it didn't help because that suite number is not visible on the outside of any of the buildings. I was looking for suite 100, so when I found a building with suites 101-109 listed on the door, I decided to go inside and ask if anyone in there could direct me to suite 100. There was a desk just inside the door, but no one was there. I wandered down a couple of hallways looking for someone to ask, and lo and behold, I stumbled across their office completely by accident. I still had my phone playing the "hold" music from my attempt to call 20 minutes earlier when I walked up to the check-in desk. I'm amazed I made it more or less on time, but it certainly wasn't due to them taking the most minimal effort to make their office even remotely easy to find. read more

This place is terrible you could die and they don't care,I have been waiting since last Friday to get an oxygen tank so I can go to see my Doctor in Seattle and finally heard why I didn't get it it's was told that I'm not allowed to have it I've been with this company for over 10 years and it's gotten to be worthless I've gotten faulty equipment tanks that when turned on all air escapes cause of faulty washers so had no air ,had to leave lunch and rush home thank God just done street,kept having problems with my breathing equipment ,it's hard enough to deal with not being able to breath but when no one cares to make sure your equipment is right it's scary.So I take my portable and my large tank now they are telling me I can't have my tank that's the one who is for if power outage so now I have to call them and pray they get here within 2 and half hours to bring me a tank when u can't even get it for over a week.So I live in fear of not being able to breath,I need to talk to someone not them cause this is what I got as an answer.
