Dr. Ronald Spiaggia is a rare find. PRRM occupies a special place in my heart. I am a person who makes decisions with gut, rather than logic. Right at the first visit, I was certain that Dr. Spiaggia is trustworthy and that I am in safe hands. When all other doctors disregarded an MRI, he was the first person to prescribe it and then provided a bang on target, spot-on review of my condition. This man has his profession inside his blood cells, what a knowledgeable professional he is! This was when I believed that someone actually understood my problem and also what to do to make it better. I suffered from disabling cluster headache on the left side and wasted a year meeting neurologists. They are so pathetically incompetent and do not view the problem from a holistic perspective. They would only write medication after medication. Dr. Spiaggia's diagnosis that the pain was coming from the neck, totally changed the way I thought about the pain. After years of progressive degeneration of the neck resulting from sitting in front of the screen, I came to a conclusion that I had cervicogenic pain. The exercises recommended by the physical therapists helped to drastically bring down the duration of my cluster headache. The PT aides repeatedly ensured that my exercise form was correct and that all the exercises were completed by me. Thanks to Dr. Kevin Tabije for performing the trigger point injections. Their Chiropractic was below expectations and it could have been more efficient. Yet, it can be overlooked for the other things. I finished physical therapy for the acute arthritis in my knees at the Somerset office. The staff there was the best! My therapists Dominique and Christine were great along with some of the assistants like Yancey, Amanda, etc. They were very professional yet friendly. I looked forward to going each time because it felt like I was amongst knowledgeable friends. They were very positive, supportive, explained each exercise and listened to any concerns I might have. I was impressed that they often changed the exercises to challenge me as I advanced so I wasn't bored. I was constantly evaluated to measure improvement so the routine was backed by facts. In addition I received treatment to manage pain and Dr. Thomas and staff made the procedure almost fun. The front desk maintained a very professional and pleasant attitude each and every time I arrived at the very comfortable waiting area. I rehabbed a torn rotator cuff at Performance Rehab and am delighted to endorse them - I feel that they go above and beyond every time. The office staff is really efficient and always smiling, even though they spend hours scheduling and rescheduling appts. They handled everything with my insurance. The doctors and physical therapists who worked with me (they do move you through many different people by design. Everyone seems to know everyone; it turns out to be very effective method of treating patients) were always thorough, offering options and suggestions to keep me progressing. I ended up having two PRP treatments which were very effective for me. The Patient Care staff in the front is extremely helpful, patient and kind and every Doctor is comforting and genuinely cares about their patients and their recovery. Ron is the best. I literally walked in this place and felt like pdiddy every single time. The staff was so sweet - and all knew my name after just a few weeks of going. OMG! Dr. Spiaggia and his crew are amazing! They are great at what they do and are very caring about their patients. The staff seems like family and they let you, the patient, feel like part of the family. Dr. Mosh took great care of me. He always understood my body and its issues. This facility is a breath of fresh air. Not only are the one stop shop services super convenient (xray, ultrasound, nerve tests, PRP, stem cell therapy, etc. all on site) but the staff is ridiculously kind, attentive, and helpful. The doctors spend meaningful 1:1 time with each patient and the techs get to know you and work with you personally on each of your exercises. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Anthony Piccillo, Dr. Carmine Defeo and Dr. Carlie Mazzucco on multiple lower back issues. This was the first time I had ever gone to physical therapy, and I couldn't have asked for a better group of doctors to help me through this hard time in my life. Everyone, including the receptionists, were so friendly and helpful with working with my schedule to fit me in two or three times a week. All doctors were extremely helpful in explaining why we were doing certain exercises, described my progress as the weeks passed, and they made sure I had the tools to continue the work at home during and after my physical therapy was over. Not only were they super helpful and knowledgeable, but they made each and every visit exciting. I can now say I successfully made it through back surgery and an amazing rehabilitation program. I walked in to Performance Rehab and 4 weeks later I could not walk. Allow me to clarify.... I visited Performance Rehab with lower back pain. NO OTHER ISSUES. One of there "Doctors" met with me and recommended PT. I stated PT. This should have been my first warning. It;s a open space with six or sever massage table, and just as many "Doctors" manning then. Wow. That's a lot of "Doctors" for a smaller operation, but ok... But that is not the issue. They obviously overbook these "Doctors", and hand you off to an obviously untrained person who has a list of exercises or stretched that you will be doing. In my experience these "Therapists" are more interested in whatever is going on on their phones, and this is where I ran into a major problem. I'm not sure if my "Therapist" did not know what she was doing, or just wasn't not paying attention, but I was instructed to perform an exercise, with no supervision. During the exercise I felt a shooting pain and informed my "Therapist". I was casually told, "It's ok, you dont have to do anymore". So I go home. - The next day I cannot walk. - I called Performance. Told to come in for an adjustment - I hobble into Performance (as not I can no longer walk). I get a massage and a heat/or cold pack - The following day I still cannot walk. I call Performance.. Finally referred to their in-house pain specialist - MRI Ordered. Large hernia L4/5. - Steroid pack, multiple epidurals, no help... In the mean time my Insurance has been billed over $15k!!! 2 months ago I walked into Performance Rehab, today I'm recovering from Back Surgery. After all of this I still gave them the benefit of the doubt I as my spine surgeon has prescribed PT as part of my recovery. I visited Performance and asked to meet with someone that could ensure that should I return to Performance Rehab that I would at least be given the attention of a trained Therapist. Their response? Usher me out of the building and never call me!!!! read more

I had chronic elbow tendonitis in both of my elbows for about 4 years, and I tried every method I could find online to heal it and even met with some doctors for treatment but everything I did only mitigated the symptoms for a short period until the pain came back. The worked to address my back challenges through a comprehensive approach, since they have a variety of services under one roof. The team is friendly, approachable and supportive. Absolutely amazing! It does not get better than this place! The physicians, nurses, chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists, to overall staff and personnel go above and beyond! My mother is a 63 year old tailor by trade and had chronic issues with tendinitis and received a PRP injection- after a few weeks she is able to work with no pain! I have traveled to see specialist after specialist with a chronic back pain condition I have been experiencing for quite some time and have had no luck finding help. A dear friend of mine who is a regular patient here at Performance Rehab highly recommended me to come here. By the grace of God, I was given an appt. at a time when my back pain was completely unbearable. From the moment I walked into the facility I was cordially greeted by friendly faces and a familial environment. Having worked the front desk at numerous medical facilities in the past, I know how important a compassionate voice over the phone can be when scheduling an appt. and when you are a patient in need of help, how wonderful a warm smile can make you feel when you are greeted for the first time. I was graciously seen by Dr. Nick Owens who reviewed my MRI from the prior year and discussed in detail and in simple terms what my condition was then and how it may now have changed.
