Dr. Cram and his new staff member, Dr. Maason, are compassionate, knowledgeable, thorough professionals. Their staff is the same, especially longtime vet tech, Jan. They do follow up via phone and/or email and send newsletters but don't spam email accounts. New visitors to Trailridge will not only be greeted warmly by a friendly face at the reception desk, but a furry one. This is Lilly and she has been at the clinic for as long as I've been going there. She keeps her staff in line and greets all patients. Lilly is fond of spreading out on the reception desk like a hood ornament and swishing her tail over receipts and reports. I have no hesitation in recommending these vets and their hospital.

He must have a secret touch because our cat did not fight back at all like expected. Will definitely use this business in the future. We were greeted by friendly Natalie at the front desk and she was very kind and helpful. Building was very clean and comfortable for us and our cat and we did not have to wait at all. Very happy with the service today and it was priced well.

The entire team is awesome -- always professional, kind, helpful, patient, and caring with our furry family members and us. We've been going here for years now and have NEVER had any issues. We value Dr. Scott and her teams' ability to listen to our concerns, collaborate on next steps including treatment coordination with some of our pets' specialist vets. They explain everything regarding costs and what's needed for preventative care and focused treatment. We get veterinary care regularly and can say without a doubt that we highly recommend Dr. Scott and her team at Family Pet Hospital of Shawnee.

When no one called, I followed up on Tuesday and was assured I would receive a call back by the end of that day. Again, no call. When I called Wednesday morning, I was then told the doctor was actually out of town for several days and that maybe someone would get back to me with the test results. Waiting on test results for a possible health concern is stressful enough without being repeatedly given inaccurate information and having to chase down answers myself. Better communication and follow-through are essential, especially when a pet's health is involved. I'm also frustrated by a previous issue involving a food change recommended by the clinic. After switching foods, both dogs gained 13 pounds despite eating only half of the recommended amount. The doctor then recommended a new food, which was the original food prior to the recommended change that was half the cost, yet the clinic refused to take back the unopened/remaining $150 bag of prescription food. To make matters worse, the bill for this recent visit for two dogs was nearly $2,000. For the cost of care charged, I expected much better communication, service, and customer care. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling disappointed and undervalued as a longtime client. This is no longer the place retired Dr. Van Zante built.

Our pets often times make our lives more fulfilling, so we want to offer them the best, gentle care…read morepossible. Mariposa Veterinary Wellness Clinic does just that: they treat our pets like family, they realize that a trip to the vet can be stressful to the animal, and they take great measures to make the animals comfortable. Our neurotic, three-legged rescue doggo just hates going to the vet. She loves a good car ride, complete with open windows so she can pick up all the scents, but once we get to the clinic, she knows what's up - and she *does not like it*. But fortunately, the Mariposa staff is well-aware of pets that may not like the vet visits and they take measures to calm the anxiety. Dr. Kinnon is so gentle and calm, getting down to the pet's level and getting acclimated to the 'patient'. Dr. Kinnon gives us a thorough evaluation each time, whether it's for a routine wellness visit or some other condition. Our pupper, Loki, has a tendency to be shy in uncomfortable people situations, but Dr. Kinnon and her staff always get Loki to open up. Just the low-stress, placid tones alone make every visit feel so much better, if not just for Loki but for us as well. All of Loki's history is readily available and even though Loki doesn't seem to have gotten the memo that she only has three legs, the Mariposa staff always treats her with an extra-gentle touch. Scheduling is easy, either at the end of a visit for routine checks or over the phone for issues requiring more immediate attention. When you park in front, you call in and a tech comes out to escort your pet (and even you!) into the exam rooms - after a brief scale stop. The whole process focuses on the animal, in the calmest, most loving manner possible. Could not recommend Mariposa any higher!

After a nightmare scenario at sprint hill vet where they vet didn't give two cents about our girls and their health issues that showed up later in life. I did my own research and we ended up here. We love our vet! It helps that I do my own research and we keep a strict schedule for the girls and know any changes in their health. They offer a more holistic approach and also revert to conventional if you think that helps your pets, but if you understand health for humans, real health, you'll find there is similarities for animals and this place helps guide you through it. We are on three more years with our dog who was in the ICU 3 years ago due to negligence of the vet at Spring Hill. They truly care about the animals at Mariposa, they take the time and give details when you ask. They are not authoritative and will listen to concerns. I also love that the animals are not put on a table, the vet goes to their level to ensure they are more comfortable. We are so happy we found this place and appreciate they care about our babies. You do need to make appts in advance, they have a busy schedule
