It's free to enter and looks as though it's well kept. One complaint I have about free dog parks is that your not able to feel confident about the other dogs inside the park. I've been a member of other dog parks which required a small yearly fee but it verified every dog was up to date on shots and is not aggressive. Outside of the park is a water fountain which is nice for the warmer weather when you bring your dog to run around. Both times I came we entered the large dog park area and were only people in there. The first time someone came in after us. The first red flag on their dog was when they kept repeating "be nice " over and over as they entered the park. The dog quickly become aggressive and we left. I enjoy going to dog parks with smaller crowds so my personal opinion would be to not enter this one (that's not monitoring who is coming + going) when there is a huge crowd.

You see families eating lunch/dinner at the pavilions, events like parties, kids running around the swing sets (as I did years ago), joggers, dog walkers, cyclists, you name it. They even have a small pond and waterfall in the back and an amphitheater!! My personal favorite thing to besides meeting up with friends is to take a walk and clear the mind. It is very peaceful and they have many paths that go through forest's and around the area, even I haven't fully explored this park!! Going at evening/sundown is my favorite time to go (as pictured below). If anyone is in the area and is looking to do something outdoors, look no further than Fischer's Park. Even if it is a leisurely stroll, it's worth it.

If you want your small children to nap, then have them walk up the steps to the slides a dozen times. There is a nice variety of playground equipment for all ages including swings, a 3 person seesaw, spinning/ climbing thing, etc. All the equipment has a castle theme which is super cute. I love that the entire playground is fenced in with fences high enough that young kids definitely cannot get over. The fencing around the steps/ platforms for the slides is also super safe to prevent falls. I feel totally comfortable letting my kids walk up and slide down by themselves while I wait at the bottom. Bathrooms nearby are better than most playgrounds. The only downside is that there isn't a lot of shade. Some benches are shaded but none of the playground equipment is shaded so you feel like you're baking on a hot day. There are covered benches at the entrance of the playground for parents. But your kids will have so much fun that they'll barely notice how hot they are.

We have now boarded our little pooch three times over the summer, and have had nothing but a positive experience each time. The kennels reside on the owners property, of which he has something like 40+ acres. Not sure how many kennels there were per se, but he has a number of them. Each dog gets their own indoor/outdoor kennel and there are large fans blowing inside to help keep the dogs cooler during hot days. You are welcome to bring a blanket or favorite toy from home if you'd like. They provide food, but again, you can bring your own if you prefer. For additional fees, you can elect your dog to go on a nature walk and/or have playtime with other dogs. He also offers grooming at a reasonable rate as well. Very happy that my parents found this place and told me about it. This is my goto place for boarding now. The owner is clearly an animal lover and has three German Shepherds of his own. Prices are fair. Give this place a try if you are in need of finding a boarding facility for your dog.

Plenty of space, the only time I see a real crowd here is during a sporting events...not the Eagles, but youth soccer practice, volleyball tournaments, or something similar...otherwise there is generally plenty of room here to walk your dog, stretch your legs or just kick back and read a book. My favorite thing to do here is grab lunch and sit in the picnic area relaxing on my lunch hour. Can be hard to go back to work on a gorgeous day, but well worth it in my book! There is one "not recommended" review...I have no idea what this person is talking about, this park is VERY well maintained. Grass is cut, the place is clean and the park ranger is never far from sight.
