At that time, Clarabell, our coonhound mix who was supposed to be a beagle-pointer mix...was 3-4 months old, high energy, car anxiety and sickness, already 50+ pounds of pure muscle, strong will and even stronger vocal cords. I couldn't control her on the leash or keep her from jumping on people - so she wasn't getting the exercise, stimulation or socialization she needed. I couldn't leave her alone for a moment or take her in a car. Cages and closed rooms caused even worse anxiety and distress. Rehoming was not an option. Medication (for me :) and) her would be a last resort. I was at my wits end and I knew I needed professional help but my financial limitations due to medical issues/expenses made finding it a huge challenge. I sought recommendations and searched multiple social media platforms, search engines - until I found and reached out to Jessica and my gut knew immediately that she was the one who would and could help me to help and love Calarabell the way she deserves and needs. And I was absolutely right. Jessica is a person and dog whisperer. She is endlessly and unshakeably calm, collected, even toned, knowledgeable, reliable, communicative and quick to assess, address and manage any fur baby and fur owner's challenges. She accomodates in every way - from work schedules to circumstances or behavours that require off-site or odd hour corrective activities and processes. She does it all with a level head, a pure and kind heart, an unmatched natural talent and learned skill sets. The evidence is in the results. Clarabell is now 1.8 months old, 85 lbs. and 5'5" standing. Walking her is now a good experience. Car rides get easier and easier. She can be home alone for hours at a time. She rarely jumps up on people..and truly there are only challenges when my husband and I don't do the things Jessica has shown us to do. Clarabell is a sweet and happy girl. Jessica stays with her when we go away ( another superb service she offers). I am forever indebted to her and she is the only canine behaviourist I will ever recommend.

The manager at the boarding and training facility has changed in the past year, and unfortunately, our experience under the new management was far below the standards we had previously expected. When we picked him up, he had diarrhea and arrived with a soiled behind -- yet we were never notified of any stomach issues during his stay. He also had a deep scratch across his nose, which we only noticed in the daily photos and had to point out to staff ourselves in order to get him proper care. When we submitted a review after his stay, staff claimed they had informed us about the scratch and that he hadn't had any stomach issues while in their care. Diarrhea is very evident with our white Samoyed, as his fur gets soiled and requires extra cleaning, so their claims felt like gaslighting rather than honest communication. Instead of acknowledging their mistakes or committing to improve, staff told us we were no longer welcome and even blocked our portal login. Their response was dismissive, unprofessional, and demonstrated a complete lack of accountability. For the health and safety of your dog, stay away from Opportunity Barks and their unethical, unprofessional behavior.

I happened upon Proofing Behavior's via the Clipper Magazine back in March. At the time Ziggy had gotten away from me again and chased a small child through the neighborhood. The good news is the child was not hurt (just frightened) bad news is this wasn't the first time and I was beyond exhausted trying to control my baby boy. Ziggy is only two years old, after getting him in the house after that incident, I got the mail and found the magazine and there on the back was the coupon. I thought this was providence and called them right away Jim returned my call and within 2 days he was at my front door ready to start training. Unfortunately covid-19 hit and we had to postpone training until late June early July I am happy to say 8 weeks later both Ziggy and I have graduated on the loose leash training and the overall commands to sit and stay. I cannot say enough about how great this is and what peace of mind I now have when I go outside with Ziggy. He listens, he pays attention, he looks for my cues and all of this would not have been possible without Jim and the techniques he brings. From day one Jim explained the simple techniques and yes with the help of some treats we got Ziggy in line and in focus. Ziggy being a smart little boy has realized the more he listens to Mommy the more he gets outside time I highly recommend Proofing Behaviors and Jim's services to anyone and everyone all dogs all sizes I mean I knew it was a challenge as big as Ziggy IS I was a little skeptical we were not going to get here but to my great surprise we are.
