November of 2020, I called and left a message with the attorney's secretary to make an appointment…read morefor a consultation and never received a call back. I called back in January of 2021 and left another message with the same secretary to ask for an appointment and again I never heard back. In March of 2021, I left a written message on their website asking to schedule an appointment that was never replied to. A week later I called the office again and told the receptionist that I had had no luck leaving messages with the attorney's secretary and asked if there was anyone else that I could speak to about scheduling an appointment. The Office Manager handled my call and told me that someone would call me back by the end of the day. There was no call back that day but the next day I was called by the attorney and we arranged an in-person meeting for 3:30 on April 12, 2021. At 3:15 on April 12th I showed up at the building and called the receptionist to get admitted to the building. My call was sent to the attorney's secretary's phone and I left a message asking to be admitted. After 5 minutes I called the receptionist again and was put on hold for 10 minutes while she tried to get the secretary on the line but she was unsuccessful and asked me if she could just have them call me back. I finally gave up and left the office. Approximately 10 minutes later, the attorney called me apologizing for the mix up and offered to meet me at any location, at any time but I declined as I had lost confidence in their organizational ability. A half an hour later I received a call from the attorney's secretary asking if I had been contacted by the attorney yet and apologizing for the mix up. They may be good attorneys but I have no confidence in their administrative abilities and don't feel that I could trust them to meet schedules or deadlines.

Nicholas Azemika is just an attorney who decided to practice Family Law. My experience with Nicholas Azemika was horrible. I personally met with him for my consultation and he shared stories of success in family law. I had a child custody matter that needed to be resolved. It was not complicated, but my child's mother was litigious. I felt a bit confident because opposing counsel was not exclusively a family law attorney, he was a one-man law firm that did a little bit of everything in regards areas of specialty. During the court hearing, the opposing counsel (attorney) easily outmaneuver Nicolas' oral arguments in front of the judge. It was like Azemika is a family law attorney in general, but doesn't have the ability to handle above-average skilled attorneys that push back against them. They didn't even object when the other attorney made absurd claims. ***I literally ended up with significantly less custody as a result of Nicholas Azemika's failures. After burning through my money throughout the months, he would not take phone calls unless payments were made in full. I was a college student at the time and needed to make payments after a certain point, but they refused this option. After not being able to pay for an full retainer fee again (they wouldn't accept payments, he filed a motion with the court to drop me as a client. I absolutely regret using him to represent me. I eventually got a different attorney who immediately got me full custody (which is unusual for a man to get) and eventually a court order that allowed me to move out of Kern County with my son.
