I had my eyebrow tattoo by Lauren, and it was so hideous. It was supposed to be the hair stroke tattoos, but my tattoo hairs were so thick and dark looking. She charged me $500 bucks. I would not have care if my eyebrow was somewhat decent. I don't think she is good at picking the right color for people with black hari. It was the biggest beauty mistake I have ever made. I visited Lauren again this week for my annual brow touch up; just needed to tweak the color and reshape one arch a bit. Without my pointing it out, she immediately saw what needed fixing and has a perfectionist's eye toward detail, which you definitely want when it comes to permanent makeup. As I was leaving, instead of the usual hydrocortisone gel that you're typically given to use after a new tattoo, she gave me a small jar of all natural ointment she had made herself using jojoba oil. About a year and a half ago I went to Lauren to do my eyeliner and I loved the results so much I ended up getting my eyebrows done as well. Since that time I have had many compliments on the work she did from both friends and family and from people in the beauty industry. The comment that I thought was the most impressive was from a visiting makeup artist at Neiman Marcus in Dallas. My mom ( a regular there) and I were getting our makeup done for a charity event we were attending and the person who did my make up told me she worked primarily with Yves-Saint Laurent doing shows in LA. So I had my mom get her eyebrows done as a Christmas gift and she paid for her eyeliner two years ago. It was three sections to do and shouldn't have to do a touch up until a couple years later. She went to all three sections and took very good care of them. She went back last christmas only a year later to get a touch up, I was very upset to hear Luaren charged my mother for the touch up, which it shouldn't have faded at all yet only being a year later. This christmas you can't even see them. So I had to talk to friends to find out how many sections they have had, touch ups, and where they've gone. Once I told them my story and how much I paid they said that's crazy. They only had one section and a touch up after three years. Some have not even needed a touch up yet and it's been past that. I really think I deserve a refund for the permit make up never lasting in the first place. I didn't get what I paid for and was over charged! Finally with all the reviews I got from people I've known I went to one that was recommend and paid for everything eyebrows, top and bottom eyeliner on both eyes cheaper than I paid for just my moms eyebrows. So I highly don't recommend Luaren. You pay way to much for something that doesn't even last a year. Even with her seeing it after a year she still charges you for a touch up. I became a client of Lauren's three years ago. She initially corrected the work of an Austin permanent makeup person who advertised eyebrow tattoos using hair-like strokes, but instead used a solid fill technique. My eyebrows looked like they had been drawn on with a Sharpie. Lauren did an amazing job correcting the previous work and did indeed create eyebrows that looked like individual hairs were there. Instead of charging me full price for a new procedure as she could have, Lauren only charged me the price of a touch up. Last year (two years after my first appointment with Lauren) I went back for a touch up and Lauren further enhanced the hair simulation appearance. She recommended I come once a year for touch ups. This was not to make more money from me. Lauren charged me $200 for a touch up but said it would be $100 if I came yearly. I took her advice and returned this year for my third appointment. Lauren's skill, artistic talent, and expertise are exemplary. Thanks to her, my eyebrows look as natural as possible. Lauren always makes sure I'm completely satisfied with her work before I leave, but follow up appointments are included with each procedure. I'd been thinking about it for quite awhile. Getting permanent makeup, specifically liner for my lower eyelids. Finally I made the appointment. I was a little nervous - - what will my results really be? After all, this is permanent. - - should I spend money on something so frivolous and am I being too vain? - - will it hurt? - - made the appointment during my workday and I have to go back to work - - what if there's bad swelling? - - what if I look like a clown? - - what if, what if, what if. Well, now that it's done : OH MY GOODNESS!! WHY did I ever hesitate? My eyes look great!! I was back at work 45 minutes after the procedure. I was showing off my new eyes immediately! I'd tell people only that I'd had something done and no one realized I wasn't wearing my normal makeup! I even had to point it out to my daughter, even she just thought I was wearing my normal eyeliner. Lauren was able to exactly match the color that I've been wearing for the past 10 years! It took a few tries, but she got it perfectly! My eyes were a tiny bit swollen, but it was so slight that I was the only one who saw it. The procedure itself didn't hurt at all. It was just sort of a tweezing feeling. Lauren truly has this down to an art. My eyes did feel a little tired last night, but that was probably the local anesthetic wearing off. This morning when I woke up, my eyes felt completely normal. Looked in the mirror and was absolutely delighted to see my beautiful new eyes were not the least bit puffy. It's given me a real boost. I did this for me. Not for anyone else and I am SO glad I did it! Now, my only question is Why did I wait so long? I really couldn't be more pleased. I barely have any eyebrow hair and I look dead without any eyeliner. I initially had my eyebrows and eyeliner done over 20 years ago by an artist in California. The color changed over the years and lost its brown pigmentation. So, I resorted to using brow pencil and eyeliner again until last year. (I did not realize I should have yearly touch ups.) I went online and picked Lauren out from several others. She has a lot of experience and her prices are not outrageous. I was very nervous because I didn't know anyone who had gone to her, but after a very thorough consult, I felt good about choosing her and booked my appointment. She spent a good amount of time choosing colors and explaining what was going to happen and what to expect after the procedure during the healing process. As mentioned by others, it isn't a comfortable procedure, but Lauren does all she can to get you through it. With the microblading technique, my brows look better than the initial work I had. My friends and family are always surprised when I tell them I have semi permanent make up. Lauren has a great eye for shape and color of the brows. Today I went in for my yearly maintenance and she put in a different tone of brown on my brows. My hair is gray/silver/white and she just has that eye to know what goes with hair and skin tone.
