I couldn't tell you how many different pencils, pomades, gels, etc that I have tried over the years just to try to look like I have SOME kind of brows. This experience has been life changing. Y'all. I feel like a person again. My eyebrows were never destined for greatness before Heather. When I was 3, I was bit in the eye by a Dalmatian. As a result, I have slightly less tissue under my right eyebrow than my left. Combined with a roller skating accident that removed the top of my arch when I was 12, and my right eyebrow has always been sort of a rebel. It has frustrated aestheticians, make up artists, and brow threaders my entire life. If you look in the photos, I even marked where almost no eyebrow exists naturally. When I first heard of microblading, I loved the idea of having perfect brows 24/7...who doesn't? However, I was initially skeptical of the idea of tattooing my face. Heather did away with my fears, thoroughly explaining the process and answering any questions I had. You will never find someone as detailed as she is! Even after I thought my brows looked OK, she went back over several times fixing tiny things I hadn't even noticed. A true artist! There is a bit of pain, as anyone who has ever gone under the needle can tell you. However, after the first pass, a general anesthetic is applied. Heather made me feel completely comfortable, despite having to sneeze every few minutes. (Nobody tells you that this will happen...a lot. Sorry!) Ive been penciling in my eyebrows since Jr High so I cant explain how its still incredibly surprising to wake up in the morning or get out of the shower with brows. It sounds so simple, but if you have spent decades worrying about rubbing your face to hard without knowing it or forever keeping a pencil or liner in your bag its huge. Heather Manto did my eyelash enhancements and I'm blown away!! I can wake up in the morning and not look like I'm dead. I have small eyes and wear heavy eyeliner everyday to make them look bigger. I had no idea this service existed until I found her. Everyone needs this!! It's like a top eyeliner tattoo done as thick or thin as you would like going off your eye shape. She even does a little on the bottom lid to really make them pop. It gives you the allusion of having mascara on and fuller lashes. Don't worry it doesn't hurt she numbs the eye lid before you start so it just feels like a tickle on your lashes. Only takes an hour or so then you go back for your touch up a couple weeks later. I'll definitely be posting after pictures once I go back for touch ups. Also I forgot to mention how much of a badass she is in the permanent cosmetic game. I'll start by saying I've always had a decent arch when it comes to my brows, but they've never been particularly bold or thick. So when I started researching microblading I thought it might add a little extra oomph to my semi-decent, mediocre brows. But boy, was that an understatement!! Truly delightful experience. I did a lot of research before choosing another microblade artist, I knew as soon as I came across Heather's work that this was it. I came up from San Antonio to see her, she is so lovely and kind. She made sure I was comfortable, even had a fluffy blanket waiting for me. I am particularly grateful that she was very meticulous when it came to getting the symmetry just right. I'm obsessed with having even eyebrows, I'll normally spend 20 minutes drawing them on just right, and now I won't have to. There was very little discomfort, just a twinge here and there. Totally different from my last experience elsewhere, where I was in pain the entire session. That made the three hours feel like nothing. I went to Wake Up Made Up 11 months ago to get my nearly non-existent eyebrows done. Heather had quite a job on her hands because she basically had little to go on as far as shape and color. She gave me plenty of information beforehand and made sure I fully knew what to expect from day one through needing to get them touched up 12-18 months later. She answered any and all questions that I had and went above and beyond my expectations in every way. Here are some things I appreciated about her most: 1.) She was on point (I mean ON POINT) with her accuracy, checking and re-checking often. 2.) My comfort was of upmost importance to her, always checking on my pain level and making sure I was ok. 3.)
