I leave each service feeling encouraged, challenged, and better equipped to live out my faith. The worship is uplifting and heartfelt, and there are outstanding programs for children and youth. It is wonderful to see people of all ages growing in their faith through the many special programs and activities offered throughout the year. One of the things I appreciate most is the friendliness of the congregation. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and valued. I especially love being part of a small group, where I have built meaningful friendships and found support, encouragement, and spiritual growth. With fantastic sermons from David, Joe, Adam and other guest speakers you dive into God's word to further you in your journey to live a righteous life with God. It's approachable no matter where you are in your religious journey. Whether you have been practicing Christianity for years, or your relationship with Christ is just beginning, CCC is a wonderful place to worship. The music is great, and there are plenty of laughs throughout service. Sermons bring a genuine and practical message from God's word. Joining a small group was a pivotal time in my CCC experience where I have had great conversations with my peers about navigating life's challenges, and how living with the Lord as a priority can bring you peace and direction. My life would not be the same without CCC!

I have known the Deacon Jim Traband and his wife Dottie as high school friends. I'm not going into any detail but they were a fun loving couple from the 70's. I haven't been in touch with them for decades and they greeted us as though not one day had passed since we had last spoken. If you want to feel the word of the Lord, then is the place to worship him in a quiet gentle congregation. We will be back and thank you all for welcoming these newly born again christians. Fellowship time following the service is always packed with food, drinks, people, and good conversation.

The congregation loves to be active in the community and has many community events throughout the year, including but not limited to, Monster Bash, Peach Festival, Strawberry Festival, Caroling during Christmas, and Sour Beef dinners . Zion UCC is very focused on missions (as the UCC tends to be mission oriented). It really makes you feel great that you can help others in so many different ways. Pastor Courtney is very relatable and is always striving to reach out to the congregation in new and inspiring ways during the services. She's also very welcoming of constructive feedback. Her sermons touch on the scripture AND relates to modern day living/ struggles, even current events. She really makes you think and inspires at the same time! Music tends to be on the more traditional side, but there are occasions where more modern music is sung/ played. There's a nice blend of tradition and modern worship. Personally, being on the more spiritual side, I feel right at home! I would recommend Zion UCC to everyone of all ages, no matter who or where you are on life's journey!

We try to minister and care for our young children as well as our older folks. I would imagine it's "tricky" for our pastors to accommodate all ages, but they do a wonderful job!
