The food was AMAZING, service friendly and FAST and ambiance was totally laid back. You KNOW it's a good place if local sheriff's officers eat there!!! Samantha and other staff were awesome. Not sure what happened to this place but the quality and consistency of the food has gone way down hill since I last visited her a year ago. Get it together Perry! My family has be coming her for years and after our recent experience, I don't know that we will be returning. oh and chill out on the salt!!! read more

My mother and sister and I were in poplarville to visit my aunt in the nursing home. There are not that many places to go to eat in the town other than a few fast food joints. This is a little tiny place with tables outside. I didn't go inside so I can't say anything about the dining room. My aunt and I ordered the shrimp poboy and my mother had the grilled shrimp salad and my sister had the butterflied shrimp. It was such a pretty day we ate out on the front porch. We all enjoyed our food. The service was very good by friendly staff. We will go there next time we visit too! read more

Wife and I dined there today. 4 lb of crawfish @"3.99 lb. (Not a bad price), a large onion ring and two drinks was $32. Let's start with the crawfish. They were lukewarm and did not peel very well. They're large onion ring consisted of possibly 12 Cisco onion rings. And two fountain cokes.. I will never set foot in the place again read more

Food wasn't very good. Just so so. I got the hamburger poboy and there was one very thin patty cut in half and on the bread that wasn't even poboy bread but a hoagie bun. So you played a guessing game while you ate it will you get a bite of meat or just bread. My husband got some kind of Cajun pasta that he said had no taste to it. Their prices are also to high for the quality of food they serve. The staff was not nice and you had to ask multiple times to get something you needed and no it was not busy in there that night. Now, let's be completely hones, all my friends told me about this place and they all know I'm very picky on seafood, and how much I love seafood. Now, i was in the area of Perry's and my friend who has my location calls me and tells me hey you're by Perry's you better go, so i said okay, not really wanting to go lol, but then she wrote the entire group chat (14) of our close friends, me 5 of them have been already so i was like okay I'll go I'll go. I make it to Perry's, and as soon as i walk inside I'm greeted by other customers, and the staff were all very friendly; nice and they all gave me there opinions, and honesty everything sounded so good, but again i was worried about how fresh everything was. The owner was there and he told me everything was great; and he said what do you like? I said i love seafood, he said everything he has here is fresh and it's great. So i got a shrimp sandwich, now the shrimp sandwich was amazing, so fresh and it was packed with shrimp, i mean it was packed with shrimp, it should have cost more but it was a really cheap price with amazing, and fresh shrimp, the taste was amazing. Also, i never tried crawfish, and the owner was shocked so he went in the back and got some crawfish and came out and cracked it open for me and let me try some, and it was amazing, it opened my eyes to another seafood i loved. I also got the crawfish toast, it was amazing, it had a lot of crawfish as well, and it taste so good. I got there bike made sweet tea, which was really good, just right honestly. I really enjoyed my time here and the love they give you and the feeling of family and happiness was everywhere. I definitely can not wait to come back and try there food. The only thing i didn't like was the potato salad, I'm very picky on potato salad and there's weren't to my liking, but don't get me wrong it was good, i just am picky. It a not a big place on size but the food is Top Notch! When I am in Poplarville this is where I go eat. Full seafood menu every time I have been and seasoned right. Crawfish have been great and even had some soft shell crab there as well. Highly recommend you stop by and give them a try.. you can Thank Me later! read more

fried seafood without being greasy, indicating that the oil was changed at proper intervals. Seasoned well without overpowering the seafood. Fried okra was excellent and tasted like it was made in-house, or they have a good supplier. The only improvement I could suggest would be onion rings made in-house. Small dining area, which can be a bit loud, but still a pleasant place. (Not exactly a place for an intimate date. LOL) read more

Been staying near Poplarville for the past week and have made a point to try out Perry's. Been in this area twice before and managed to miss it but not this time. This is a very friendly, family owned and run 'hole in the wall' meant in the best possible way. Food was perfectly cooked, whether boiled, grilled, steamed, or batter fried. Tons of food for the buck, and the best French fries and coleslaw served up to me in a long long time! Seasoning on everything has a bit of a bite, but the gumbo and boiled shrimp and crawfish should not be missed. Worth a road trip if you are within a respectable distance. Check hours of operation carefully, and go early! read more

Mr. Perry knows what he is doing. All of the things I ordered has came out very delicious. Everything is just downright amazing. Here is a little secret menu thing I found out and it is 100% delicious. Ask for mamas crab sauce over boiled potatoes(Cajun zest sauce on boiled potatoes with herbs) it costed 3$ for me to get a bowl of it. The prices are usually different because some of the waitresses don't know the price of it but it is usually always cheap. read more

I can't believe Perry's has not yet been reviewed. But then it's probably because that's how the locals prefer it. They wisely want to keep this gem their own top secret place. I'm a Realtor and went with my seller last week after walking their 60 acres. We were ravenously hungry and hot and thirsty. We walked into Perry's to the welcome cool AC, we're served very cold iced tea and delicious boiled shrimp with choices of remoulade, cocktail, or tartar sauces. Delicious! I saw others enjoying the day's special Crawfish Etouffee which looked wonderful. The real news was on the big screen and the staff could not have been nicer. I returned yesterday when I went to take pictures and put my For Sale sign up on the land nearby. This time I ordered the fried shrimp boat. I know, really hardly ever eat fried but just had to try it. So glad I did. Perfectly fried shrimp, not great, not under or over spiced. Served with yummy garlic bread and lightly battered French fries. OMGOODNESS good! Can't wait to return! read more
