I am not the person that scrolls google looking for the best rated restaurants in any city, I go where I see the folks that live in the neighborhood eat, or where the grannies are cooking. This I know is always the best food, unless I am roaming the city, looking for some pretty scenery and catch a whiff of something that smells good! Pescheria sits off on a charming side street in a busy neighborhood in Munich, and has some of the best food I have eaten outside of Italy itself. Sit outside, especially if the weather is pleasant, but no need to fret, they have a fabulous outdoor patio that has blowers to keep you warm. Start off the order with a dozen juicy Gillardeaux Oysters if you are a fan, and how can you visit an Italian restaurant and not order Negroni! I can only highly recommend what I ordered, but I can say that everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The Risotto Mare with fresh mixed seafood was delicious, the risotto was cooked to perfection with a slight bite, and so full of flavor that the seafood would not have been missed. Mussels, shrimp, calamari, and fish make this a very filling meal, and no need to worry the seafood is not overcooked and still shines as a star in this dish. Now, for those of you who are a bit sensitive to black pepper, this dish has lots of black pepper, so you might want to ask them to go a bit light or avoid it completely depending on your level of tolerance. Though I like black pepper, it makes me sneeze uncontrollably while I am eating. While this isn't a problem, it is a bit unnerving at a table with others eating, but I wouldn't have had the dish except for the way it was prepared. No, there was no room for dessert, the portion size was large and with a small salad and fresh bread, I was completely satisfied to sit and enjoy the scenery as the sun began to set. The staff here is very friendly, the manager was excited to give us a tour, especially when he heard one at our table was also a restaurant owner. We discussed the trials of a restaurant surviving the pandemic as well the changes in types of customers during Oktoberfest versus other times of the year. So guys, Pescheria is a winner in my book, all around great experience. If you find yourself in Munich with a hankering for some Italian food that is full of the freshest ingredients and simple preparations that make each dish spectacular, check out Pescheria! Enjoy Unnerved Traveler

Fried Calamari ... very good !!!!

A great seafood restaurant in the pork heavy part of Bavaria. Prices are decent and food was very good ... only reason I don't get to 5 stars is that even though the waiter was nice .. and helpful ... but he was a little pushy and was a bit sloppy serving us the wine ... he served it in a hurry (spilling some wine all over the table) in hopes that we would order a second bottle even before our mains came out ... In reality if he would haven't been so sloppy we would have ordered a 2nd bottle, but that turned us off. We had a fried calamari as a starter and a plate of oysters and they were yummy and didn't take long to come out. As main we had a seafood risotto that was more like a soup ... but I will say it was very flavorful with good portions of mussels, and fish. Overall good dinner ... no problem coming back .... on a quiet side street near the University of Munich in the city center.

Great Italian fish restaurant! They have a variety of entrées, pasta an risotto and then many (mainly grilled) fishes that you can choose from the "fish tank". I had a shared mixed platter which was perfect to taste different seafood and similar and then I shared two different fishes cooked in salt crust (in the oven). Everything was delicious, wines were really good as well and the service was extremely careful and friendly. Only drawback is that it is quite an expensive restaurant (and rightly so).

Go inside to find a spot to sit (be warned: the seat is a cushioned cylindrical bar but nevertheless comfortable enough to sit) or outside (there are chairs) to people-watch at the V-markt, take a look at limited selections (at the counter/in the restaurant/at the menu), and order with the waiter. I use limited here in the highest regard as they focus on making their dishes as delectable as possible. Case in point, we had the octopus and sepia salads, and both were flavorful with good amount of meat. Even though spaghetti with seafood is more pasta than seafood, the quality of the seafood (clams, bits of lobsters, sepia, etc.) was high. With a glass of their "Blanc de Blanc," we were at peace amidst a hectic environment. Prices were fair for what we got, so that's a win-win! Sadly, the only fail was their one dessert (we wanted to stay there longer that day...). Their creme brulee was served cold and a little stale, but who cares when the fish are so fresh? I walked out of there feeling relieved that I found my seafood haven.

It was absolutely not what I'd expected from a restaurant above a public swimming pool, it was way better!!! We had two seats at the window with a great view of the outdoor pool. The staff was really nice and the menu was not too overwhelming. They have a few daily specials, mostly meat and fish, inspired by the Greek cuisine. We picked a fish platter and the calamaris. The food arrived really fast, even though the place was packed. It was really good! Simple, no unnecessary extras. 4 sorts of fish, potatos, salad + a great lemon sauce. The calamaris came also with a potato, some veggies, and a salad. The price was great (nearly to cheap). We paid 29€ for drinks and food!!! Highly recommend this place!!!!!!!
