However, this review is more on Scott who runs the business. I've asked Scott's pet service company three times. And for two out of three I had negative experience with the way Scott behaved or talked to me. I'd give 1 star to Scott's behavior, due to a disappointing experience that I had interacting with him. Scott's negative attitude and lack of respect made me uncomfortable. The way he talks is as if he is the guardian of all the cats in the world and he knows more about our cats than we do Scott gave me the impression that he tries to bust me, or initimidate and undermine me. A good sitter should respect the owner's wishes and follow their routines that they have established through years of living and loving their cats. But what I saw from Scott was completely opposite. He kept interfering with our routines and trying to undermine our decisions. The way he behaves is as if we have to report to him for the decisions and routines that we have for our cats with whom we've had the pleasure of living for over 3 years. This is not acceptable. He should more mindful of the way he interacts & talks with people and respect their privacy and routines.

She arrived early to the Airbnb and was able to get used to walking and handling Louie. She kept us updated via text throughout the day, and when it was time to drop him back off at our Airbnb in the evening, she sent photos and updates so we knew he was settled and happy. Where do I begin? I can only sum up, that Polina has been the BEST petsitter I have ever relied on to take care of my furabies. She is extremely knowledgeable on dogs and cats, especially small breed dogs because that's what she owns, and she absolutely loves animals. My dog Onyx, is a senior Chihuahua, and the first time I had Polina take care of her, Onyx had just experienced some serious gastrointestinal issues. She was a mess, and needed daily meds, and also a special bland food diet. Polina immediately took to my animals, and showed a lot of concern for Onyx' health and skinny frame. My animals took to her immediately too, because animals know when they are around somebody who truly, and genuinely loves and cares for them. When I came back from that first trip, where I had Polina take care of my animals, Onyx had put on weight, and looked healthier and happier than she had in years. And I was only gone for about a week! What I appreciate the most about Polina's petsitting services, is that she is very personable about it. She takes her job very seriously, and while very professional is also passionate at the same time. I found out, that she would make special food for Onyx even when she didn't need to. She goes above and beyond the call of duty in order to fulfill her obligations, and her prices are reasonable. I highly recommend Polina as a petsitter. Your animals will be in good hands, and that is one less thing you'll have to worry about, while away from home.

Ive never had a pet that required medical attention so having the support from their staff was very reassuring that everything was going to be ok. We loved that they not only helped cats and dogs but also exotic animals. The doors are locked at night and require the front door desk to let you in which makes it feel safe. They have snacks, coffee, water and tea to help with the nerves as your pet receives the care they need. Overall, great spot and easy to spot in this strip mall. I did research on where to take my dog for a spay for years…read more It was very stressful reading studies, forums, and different opinions on whether we should do a traditional spay, an OSS, or ultimately a laparoscopic ovariectomy (LOVE spay). After a lot of research, we decided the LOVE spay was the best option for our girl. I came across Dr. Ryan Tedder at Coastal Animal Hospital. I was nervous about the procedure, but wow, this doctor is an absolute GEM. If only everyone was like him! He took the time to fully explain the LOVE spay procedure, answered all of our questions, and eased every doubt we had. The day came, and it was a successful surgery. Dr. Tedder called afterward, walked us through exactly how everything went, and when we picked her up, he went through everything again with us and explained her recovery. This is a far drive for us, but we will absolutely make it every single time if it means receiving this level of care for our girl. If you're worried about the LOVE spay or are thinking about this clinic, I promise you this is the right place. The staff is great, with the all-star Dr. Tedder manning the helm. My dog was only a patient here for a period of about 4 months. Everyone in the office was always…read morevery kind and Dr. Burghardt's exams were always very thorough. I never felt rushed which was appreciated and he had a very gentle demeanor about him. Unfortunately, our last visit didn't go well. I brought my dog in because his gums had started bleeding the night prior and there was blood in his stool. Dr. Burghardt diagnosed him with ITP, meaning he had low blood platelets, as was confirmed with blood testing that day. I was sent home with him that Friday afternoon with steroids. After reading more about the disease online, I called back later that day with follow up questions, but Dr. Burghardt had already stepped out for the weekend. We ended up taking our dog to the emergency vet later that evening and I'm so glad we did. Upon arrival, they said his platelet level was so low (essentially zero) that he was at risk for spontaneous bleeding - with potential to occur in his brain or lungs - and needed close monitoring and additional immune support. He ultimately died the next day after not responding quickly enough to the steroids and the identification of a tumor on his spleen (the likely culprit sending his immune system into a spiral). I'm mostly disappointed that we were sent home from Companion Pet Care on a Friday afternoon with little information, knowing that they were closed through the weekend. I don't think the severity of this condition was taken seriously enough or relayed to us in an appropriate manner. The office manager did call on Sunday to check in on him, at which time I shared that he had passed. I called back on Monday to see if they had received the ER records and to ask if Dr. Burghardt could call back at some point to summarize what had happened based on the medical records. At that point we were in shock and still confused since everything had happened so fast. We never got a call back or email which was really unfortunate. I would have thought he'd at least want to connect with us once since our dog was his patient and had died over the weekend. Ultimately, no one is to blame here but I don't feel like the situation was handled appropriately. I'm just so thankful we did our research and listened to our gut and brought him to the ER that evening so that he could be kept on fluids and oxygen support until it was his time to go. Apparently, ITP can develop and worsen VERY quickly. Keeping him at home would have been an awful experience and I'm sure the guilt we would have carried would have been unimaginable. More than anything, this is a warning to other pet owners that if you see those signs, please go to the ER immediately. This is not something you want to treat at home. Even if they seem fine in that moment, they could worsen within a matter or hours as our little guy did.

I cannot speak highly enough of Erin, she is the only person I trust with our furchild. She took care of my last dog Pax, and was so very kind to us when he passed. When we got a new puppy, it was a mere weeks of getting Denver home that we introduced them. Erin is one of Denver's favorite humans and he is always overjoyed to see her. Erin is dependable, punctual, has outstanding communication and most important of all, has a true passion for animals. She is so very kind to our sensitive pup, and patient with his moments when he is timid or afraid. She has helped us with smaller visits, such as just stopping by feed and walk the dog when we know we'll be home a bit late, all the way to staying multiple days at our home ensuring that Denver's routine is maintained while we're away. Erin is not only my Pet Care Provider, but a friend, housemate and "Auntie" to my dog, Riley. We met over 5 years ago when Riley was just a puppy and going to doggie day care at a center near our home where Erin worked. Riley loved Erin instantly , so it was an easy decision to follow Erin when she left to pursue her own business. It's a nice luxury for a pet to not only be in his/her own environment when we are away, but to have the treat of a friendly face in the middle of the day to greet them is even better. Our pets need attention, but they really need exercise and activity when we are away. I wouldn't entrust this to anyone but Erin as she's simply the kindest pet-enthusiast out there! I have had dogs as part of my family all my life and up until now have never used a pet sitter before. I met Erin at the dog park with my puppy, and Erin with someone else's dog she was sitting for. I knew from the min. we met how much she loved the dogs in her care. She is great to try to help out in urgent situations, returns calls and texts fast, and as a first time user of pet sitting, I adore her pictures and texts of my baby furry boy when she is with him. Her professional notes left at your home re: how the sitting went are a nice added touch to add to the confidence you need when you are away.
