I was able to bring in a stray community cat to be neutered and get their vaccines. The program is fantastic! There was 4 week wait to bring in a community cat, but it was well worth it. You are able to rent out a trap for the week that you are schedule to bring in your cat. I was not able to get him the first week that I was on the list, but I was able to get back on the list a few weeks later. They definitely care about the animals and did a great job! I used to have respect for this place and the work they do, but yesterday afternoon taught me that they are nothing but greedy corporate people. I take care of MANY community cats, and I would like to make sure that they are vaccinated and taken care of. I spent MY hard earned money to take care of them, and it's NOT cheap. I feed them and see to their needs EVERYDAY. I made appointments for two animals to be vaccinated for the year. I don't have all the money in the world, and I have to save up to take care of them. I was unable to locate one of these COMMUNITY CATS before the appointment. I explained that I fed her that morning, but I couldn't find her prior to the appointment. I can't control where a COMMUNIT CAT goes during the day. I was able to take one of the animals to be vaccinated. Upon arrival, I explained the situation to the girl at the desk. I politely asked her if I could use the $15 that is REQUIRED to set up the appointment, for the vaccine for the cat I did bring. I made appointments for two animals to be vaccinated for the year. I don't have all the money in the world, and I have to save up to take care of them. I was unable to locate one of these COMMUNITY CATS before the appointment. I explained that I fed her that morning, but I couldn't find her prior to the appointment. I can't control where a COMMUNIT CAT goes during the day. She tells me that I "Should have put the cat in a carrier all day." Not that it matters to her, but I work a FULL TIME job, and I had to take off work to get the cats to the clinic. She had the nerve to tell me that I took someone else's appointment and that they were keeping the money. First off, I arrives WELL before the appointment time. I DID NOT miss the appointment, I was just missing the cat. I couldn't have taken someone else's appointment because I scheduled 2 back to back. One was set for 2:30 and the other 2:45. There was only ONE other person in there for service, and they were leaving. This organization takes in large donations from the rich people elite, and they SAY they offer low cost help. LIE! They seem to think poor people can afford to spend money they don't have. From now on I will wait for the county rabies clinics. There you don't have to waste money. read more

I have used and recommended PCC to friends. I currently have 4 cats. All de-sexed at PCC and rec'd rabies vaccine and were microchipped at a nominal fee. All did great post-op. My first 3 were sent home w/o cones or pain meds and did fantastic! The last one WAS sent home w/a cone, which he promptly removed and I left off bc my others had never needed one. He never needed pain meds. All FOUR of my cats resumed normal activities in a day or two. In addition to my own cats, I have referred a couple of friends who brought kitties to this place. All did well and were happy w/the service. I am only giving 4 stars bc my "baby" was delivered to me in his carrier that was full of urine! Don't know how it happened but it and he were soaked. Was not happy w/that, but I still give credit for my previous great experiences. read more

My 8 month old kitten went in to get spayed there exactly a week ago, upon first getting her home and inspecting her wound area i was pleasantly surprised with how clean and nice it looked. Multiple members of the staff lied about accepting CareCredit prior to my cat getting spayed today and lied again on the morning of her surgery as well, reiterating that they accepted it. They do not. When I brought this up to an employee in attempts to resolve the issue I was faced with complete disregard and a snarky attitude from her as well as the same worker who had lied to my face this morning. I called her out on her lies and requested to speak with the director. She only served to back her employee in their false claims of coverage, was barely be able to get a coherent word out when confronted, and lied to us repeatedly as well about the care that my kitten received. My kitten was finally brought out to me, almost entirely sedated still, and I was told she was "too aggressive" with the staff up until that point to have the e-collar put on by them. She is only is a 5lb kitten with not a single care in the world, especially when she is still sedated. Every single cat pickup prior to us were all told the same thing about their animals as well, which I pointed out. The director then changed her tune and told me cats were not able to be transported in collars as it was "stressful" to them while her other employee then took my kitten to the back to put it on (in less than a minute) for transport. Essentially, they'll charge you for an e-collar and the application of it, but then will force you to do it at home on the deceitful premise that your sweet animal is "aggressive". My kitten is now flinching anytime I try to put a hand near her so God only knows what they did to my poor baby. The director as well as her staff are entirely incompetent and should be fired for their excessively dishonest behaviour. Do not go here if you love your pets. read more

My cat 4lb Persian needed her yearly shot. The day before thanksgiving I got an appointment. I asked when they call my car in " do you want me to come w you she's fiesty " oh no she said; 1 min later they did not attempt to take her out of her crate they allegedly said she was attacking inside her crate and almost fell off the table. She was stressed. They wouldn't let me go in first off, then calm her down, the VET decided she was afraid to do " her job" get my animal something to calm her down or get the right materials to do your job! You are in the wrong business if you afraid of domesticated animals. I can now not go home bc no one can fit me in day before holidays. And , if your pet has had a wellness check there within the past year you can just go in and get the meds, no need to bring in your pet! I had to select 1 star to comment. I give a negative rating. THEY KILLED OUR NEIGHBORHOOD CAT. I intended to trap her to have her spayed, but a different neighbor got to her first. They tried to spay her while she was pregnant. She hemorrhaged and died. You don't cheap out on surgery on living creatures. We paid over $700 per cat to spay our two. And, it was worth it. Be a decent human. Take your cat to an actual vet. This little cat had a horrible life AND a horrible death because of this place's incompetence. read more

I had my cat neutered today, and when I got him home all I could think was wow. I had to crawl under my bed to scruff him so I could try and gently wipe the urine from his back legs, tail, and entire underside. From the looks of it he had been lying in it for quite some time. There was no "fresh urine smell" either. That made me severely unhappy. I have had many cats spayed/neutered (even on days where they do multiple at a time) and have never had to worry about it. I just went through the process of having a feral cat spayed, and I was very pleased with the Pet Community Center. Their communication is great, and it was easy to explain my situation and get the advice I needed. They loaned me a trap (free of cost), and I was able to capture the feral cat, bring it to the clinic, and get it spayed. The wait time was a little longer than planned, but I'll chalk that up to the clinic being in its first weeks of operation. Overall, this is a great place doing great work for Nashville. I took my 8 month old Golden Retriever here and was really happy with the experience! From front desk to vet tech, everyone was very helpful, communicative, friendly and professional. I chose this place based off of two glowing reviews - but also because my regular vet was quoting me almost $400 for the neuter. I just don't have that kind of money. Not only are the prices insanely affordable, I got the "Bark to School" special. All in all his neuter and microchip was $30! What?! In summary this place has two thumbs up from the dog parent. I took my dog to get his annual check-up today at Pet Community Center. The staff was friendly and welcoming and I didn't have to wait at all. As I was leaving, one of the staff members noticed I had a flat tire. Another employee rushed over and immediately helped me change it. Not only did they provide excellent care to my pet, they went above and beyond and graciously assisted me with my car issues. Needless to say, I am now a loyal customer! They have revised their prices to reflect the need in the community. 5 stars for that. We have so many innocent feral cats running around, and the community needs help. Forget charging someone $35 for bringing a feral there to be sterilized. Now they understand, more of us will come forward, to help the neighborhood reduce the cat population. This was absolutely needed.. Now they charge us $10 for feral sterilization and euthanasia. Price reduction means, they heard us.. Thank you. And thank you for taking care of the little feral I brought in. My heart wept for her. I wanted to save her, but I couldn't.... Thank you for helping me with her. I recently adopted a dog whom hadn't been spayed and I had no idea if she had even had shots. After a quick search, I found PCC and it was heaven sent. I scheduled an appointment online and found that I qualified for discount services because of my zip code. An outreach person contacted me and let me know what services I qualified for and gave a description of the zip code program. On the day of service, everything was well organized. I filled out paperwork and paid for her additional services. A tech came and got my dog and went over the pre surgery procedures. I felt at ease that she was in great hands. A couple of hours later, I did call and check on her and they reported that she had done well and no complications had risen. Pick up was a bit hectic, but understandable because there were a lot of people picking up their pets. The front desk person went over post-op directions, signs of concern, and all of her shots that were given. My little lady is quite tired, but I'm sure after the anesthesia wears off, she'll be her happy self. Amazing from start to finish. I highly recommend them! read more

PCC is one of the best resources for pet owners in Nashville! I've brought both my male & female pups there to be fixed and they've always been treated so well. Don't be fooled by the building and 7:30-4pm time frame, your pups are being handled with extreme care and love by the amazing staff!! Plus the price is unbeatable. DO NOT GO HERE. Staff was nice and that's the only good thing about this place. I took my cat to be neutered here and when I picked him up he was covered in urine. His carrier was soaked in it and he had been lying in piss for the entire day. His sutures weren't supposed to even get wet and yet they were literally covered in urine. How sanitary and safe... He was shaking because he had been soaking in the urine so long that it had become freezing cold. So my clothes, car, carrier, and poor cat smell like piss now. Thanks guys. Hopefully he at least heals well or we're gonna have a very different, very big problem. Pay the extra money and go to an actual vet. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

DON'T EVEN CONSIDER IT My boyfriend and I picked up his cat after having him neutered and he was soaking wet and violently shivering from how freezing his carrier was--despite the fact that an animal needs to be kept warm and dry after surgery (as acknowledged by the center). I assumed the reason he was soaking wet (so much so the carrier was dripping from the bottom) was due to needing to be cleaned before surgery and possibly after. We noted that it was rank, but I was just hoping for the best. I got home and took him out of his carrier and he was SOAKING from, literally, head to toe. We called the emergency line for the center and left a message. We were called back and told they only did a dry shampoo and it may be a "small amount of urine due to the fact they set them in the carriers for about half an hour before pick up." There was no way on God's green earth my cat peed enough that his carrier would be DRIPPING. He had obviously been left in there for the majority of the day with zero attention. The Bark to School special was offered which I didn't even know about, bringing the already low price of $52 to an incredible $20! You can schedule an appt online, they send you an email confirmation with instructions on what to do the evening before surgery. Clear details on when to drop off and pick up. The check in process was smooth and quick (there were about 5-6 dogs and 5-6 cats I think that morning) and both ladies working were so nice. The other ladies that came to fetch our boy were super friendly and gentle with him. He is really weary with strangers and was scared because he didn't know what was happening but they were great in dealing with it. We went to pick him up at 4pm and he was a happy pup that didn't seem like he had any surgery at all! Nashville should support this place - they are offering an incredible and low cost service to the animal community here! read more
