This pet store in Darra is the smallest pet store I've come across so far. When I walked in I felt the store was really bare. All I could see was stock on the left and right wall and a small shelf running through the middle of the store. There was a counter with two staff, who are the owners and behind them was the grooming area. In terms of products and stock, this pet shop seemed like they were lacking a lot of it. They have a small range of pet food and few toys however not enough variety.
To my knowledge this place has been around for only a few months, which could give reason to their limited inventory. I would hope this place gets bigger, for their sake, as it currently doesn't seem to tempt customers to return. So the question is, what do they have that I couldn't find at another pet store?
One good thing to note about this store, is because it is owner managed, the personal customer service you get is really nice. You don't get enough of this in bigger chain pet stores, as they would assume you'd buy from them with or without good customer service-, which, is probably true. But, I like the feeling of walking into a store and someone genuinely wanting to help out and be of service. It's encouraging and commendable for small businesses to keep this up. I should hope that if they ever get bigger, that they not loose this, as it could be the only reason people want to come back. read more
