They did SUCH a great job today on my Chloe. I love it. She's a handful and they still manage to do a great job with her this time.

After quarantine for 3 months our yorkie was in bad shape, I had to trim her because her hair got so long. Pet parlor was amazing. They looked at our pup, and let us know that she may have to be cut real short because of matting, etc. we clearly expected to pick up a shaved girl, but were so ecstatic to see what they were able to do. Thank You Pet Parlor

I don't normally do reviews but after my experience I needed to share. I would NOT recommend this place to no one as the groomer is definitely not experienced anytime she called me to come pick up my dog because she couldn't complete the service requested. My dog is 15lbs and not an aggressive dog so I was very confused, because she may not like a kennel but she has NEVER been basically put out a place. The groomer SHAVED my dog not cut her I mean shaved her hair and the cut was so low and looked horrible. When I arrived to pick her up the groomer was on the phone and checking me out UNPROFESSIONAL to say the least. I was so angry by her hair cut I paid for the service and walked out so when I checked my receipt I noticed a tip added to my service that was not authorized and because the kiosk was not working on my end I asked her to complete it. Called the owner she claimed it was a mistake and she would call the credit card company to have it fixed and that did not happen. The audacity of the groomer to NOT groom my dog the way I asked her after showing her pictures and then added a tip when she knew she did horrible and said herself "That's not my best work" I booked this place accidentally and regret following through with the services. DO NOT take your dog to this place looking for a new groomer cause you will be disappointed. I can also tell that the groomer as rough with my dog because of her actions when I picked her up. I will say the owner wasn't disrespectful at the beginning of the call but she didn't know her groomer did horrible and tried to justify the unauthorized tip. Will never return

I love this place. I haven't had my dog with me for a while he was with my mom but he's back in town now and I took him back by here and they made my baby Zeus look so good!!!! They have done an excellent job with his cut everytime! They always make any recommendations as they see fit depending on what they see when I drop him off and when I pick him up I'm never disappointed. Y'all are heaven sent! My family has been coming to Pet Parlor for over a decade now. I don't trust anyone else with my pups. I finally have dogs of my own, both of my girls are 1 year old, anxious (genetics) and had never been to the groomer. I knew I needed professional help so I brought my girls in. Mrs. Tawanna & Caress did the best with what they had, as one of my girls is a bit rowdy. I say they got the job done and updated me on how the girls were feeling throughout the whole process and gave me some relief that they weren't the worst! Thank you all so much! I feel like I owe you guys a Christmas present for the trouble. Highly recommend! read more

I love Pet Parlor Pet Grooming!!! The owner, Tawanna, always take care of my fur baby. He recently had an injury to his eye and though it isn't time for his hair cut, she shaped his face up to keep his hair from going in and further irritating it. And this is just one example of why I love his place. They really do care about the animals hygiene and overall health and healing. They make sure that the fur babies are beautifully groomed and smelling right before they leave the shop. I recommend this shop to everyone I know! read more

I have always had a great experience at Pet Parlor. Gizmo came as a puppy after a bad experience at Petsmart. He wasn't the happiest getting groomed but all the groomers at Pet Parlor have been patient with him. I also let him stay for boarding. They have always accommodated me! Highly recommend! read more

My fur baby will never see the insides of this place again in life! I took my baby to pet parlor for the first time because her regular groomer was closed for business. I was assured that this was a well established business and she was in good hands. Shortly after notification to pick her up i received a call from the groomer to inform me that they accidentally cut her eye after she flinched during cutting. When i arrived i observed the cut over her right eye that appeared to be minor and her eyelashes were gone. I immediately noticed my baby's normal cheerful behavior was totally opposite. Something wasn't right. I normally cradle her in my arm on her back. Well i flipped her over to discover multiple welts on her belly from the clippers. Along with that when i got home i discovered welts around her anal area and she had a patch missing from her hind leg (guess they forgot to mention that). After all that they still had the nerves to charge me. My baby was miserable! I had to buy a cone to put on her just to treat all the skin irritations. NEVER AGAIN! Very disappointing. I would not recommend this place to anyone!! read more

Established in 2003.

In 2003, we opened our doors to the public in Central, Louisiana. After ten years of growth, we decided to relocate to the outskirts of town to better serve the Baton Rouge community. Throughout the years, we've stayed current with evolving technology and proudly welcomed new clients for four more years. Following the Great Flood of 2016, Pet Parlor planted its feet in an individual storefront slightly closer to the Central community we proudly call home. Meet the Business Owner: Tawanna S.

My name is Tawanna Scott, and I am the owner and operator of Pet Parlor, proudly serving the community for over 23 years. My journey into pet grooming began in 2003 when I purchased a poodle and discovered a passion for grooming my own pet. That interest quickly grew into a desire to provide quality care to all animals. I attended Velvet Touch grooming school and became a certified groomer through the National Dog Groomers Association of America. To stay current with industry standards, fair pricing, and the latest grooming trends, I continue my education by attending yearly professional classes. Lastly, I have two degrees (AS in Business and BA in Business) that help me succeed in both management and leadership. We are deeply grateful for our loyal, long-standing clients and are always happy to welcome new ones. I am proud to have been an asset to the community for so many years and look forward to continuing to serve pets and their owners for many years to come.

My experience is online watching a helpless dog get sprayed while the twist in agony and can't touch the bottom of the sink. After 23 years it's time for you to retire. It will probably play better for you both in court when you appear on abuse of that poor dog and the owner that trusted you. I wouldn't trust you with either of.my dogs. Actions speak louder than words. And it's on the internet.so erase reviews if you want but you can't erase the video that you two horrible people made for fun. PLEASE DONT BRING YOUR DOG HERE. There are many reports here regarding animal abuse in which they will choke your dog to groom it. Online there is a video circulating of them waterboarding the dog. And they refuse to make any statements about it nor provide a statement if the workers who are abusing the animals are still employed. read more

No one should ever come here unless they hate their pets. These people abuse dogs and think it's okay, they will laugh at your animal in pain and not believe any videos they are sent!!! there are videos on Facebook of two groomers hanging a dog in a noose ti groomer him and another that they are washing on very high water pressure basically torturing the dog. pls check out those videos before using thus place. they are very disturbing. read more

There's videos on TikTok of this woman abusing a dog!!! It was horrific. The dogs hanging and she's spraying it with a hose. I can't believe she's in the pet grooming business and is capable of hurting a dog like that! read more
