I called beforehand to get an appointment and Joel asked if I could come in right away, which we did. When I went to pick her up, I went to pay and didn't see her yet, however my daughter locked eyes on her and she literally looked like an emoji with heart eyes, saying, "oh Miso!" and I turned to see that Miso came out absolutely fabulous! Joel was very kind and even had some tips for me on how to prevent my bernedoodle pup's fur from matting up. Would highly recommend.

We looked at other doggy daycare options in town and had some terrible experiences. We have a 1.5 year old Golden Retriever that weighs 80lbs. She has a lot of energy but is well trained and loves other dogs. One place told us she was too "anxious" and didn't pass their "interview". The employees at Petz Plaza were much more warm and loving toward our dog from the second we brought Pearl. Much different than the interaction we had at other places! Doggy day care at Petz Plaza has been great for her to get energy out when we have long work days. The staff loves all the puppies, the facility is well kept and clean, and our pup is thrilled when we pull up to drop her off!

She has passed away and apparently the new owner obviously does not take the same pride in her business. This place should be avoided. Fast forward to today...the salon looks likes it's been abandoned, stacks of yellowed newspapers stacked up in the window, balls of dog hair piled everywhere (no reason for this first thing in the AM), half dead plants and clutter piled in every corner. It's literally just a one room, open space, not sure why it's kept in such a poor, unsanitary condition. I had second thoughts the minute I walked in and saw the state of the salon. I actually tried to take my dog back saying I would bring him closer to 9 (which I had no intentions of doing - my fault I should have trusted my instincts) but the lady assured me they knew how to cut a my dog's breed. I left specific instructions and even texted a photo. I did see several other customers that looked like regulars bringing their poodles in so I figured I would give it a chance. Regret!!! Upon first inspection, I noticed his paw pads were not properly shaved, none of them. I do a better job at home, expected more from a "professional". He was a bit choppy on his legs too which isn't the end of the world but nothing prepared me for the incredibly poor job they did on his backside. Shaved his behind almost bare, butchered the hair on his back legs and chopped some of his full, beautiful tail. Also, left all the hair around his privates long, as though they totally missed the area all together. I called the groomer requesting a refund when I got home after realizing how terribly poor the cut was because now I need to find a groomer to properly shape all the blunt cuts, missed areas and overgrown paw pads. She claimed he was cut to "breed standard" (an overly exposed anus and a chopped up tail is not breed standard!), then she yelled at me saying not to threaten her (which I wasn't, but I did say I would request to have the charge reversed) and then HUNG UP on me. Her response was beyond unprofessional. The groomer also reeked of cigarette smoke (I don't smoke and I don't appreciate my pet being exposed to such an irritant). She was actually outside smoking when I pulled up, leaving the salon unmanned and dogs unattended. Avoid at all costs if you care about actually getting what you pay for in a grooming and prefer not to have your pet kept in an unsanitary, cluttered environment.

The pictures tell a story about Harley's neck being cut while being groomed. I also noticed that his legs had some nicks right behind the shoulder. I paid the bill and put six dollars in the tip jar. Then when they brought Harley out they asked if I was going to give a tip. I guess all they care about is money. No one told me Harley was nicked they just took let me take them home I didn't notice it wound until two days later I thought it was a reflection of the red from his collar on his neck. After a vet bill and treating him with zinc oxide, cortisone and anti itch crème he is healed. They could've told me about his neck
