Unknown to us, uber will not come to Jekyll Island because of the $10 toll. The Marina staff gave me a flyer for At Your Service-after she predicted our uber would cancel. Moments later the uber canceled. Within minutes a very nice driver from At Your Service arrived, chatted with us on the way to our car. Then he waited with us to ensure our car started! Very thoughtful! The van was immaculate and the driver was very kind and friendly.

Before dropping him off, our vet prescribed medication for a skin infection and we provided clear instructions for them to administer it. Unfortunately, they failed to do so. When we took our dog back to the vet after his stay, she confirmed that he had not received the medication, which meant he suffered unnecessarily while in their care. They also told us we'd be able to see pictures of him playing on their Facebook page during his stay. However, we only saw one photo of him, while other dogs were posted frequently. When we picked him up, we were shocked to find the bill was $185 more than we were told to expect. One of the extra charges was for a bath, which we had explicitly declined at check-in. Overall, we cannot recommend Puppy Paradise based on our experience. For the health and comfort of your pet--and your own peace of mind--we suggest looking elsewhere.

Dex can become anxious & have separation issues. We were greeted by smiles & reassurance. We were allowed to spend time with him during the day taking him on walks. On his return, he was greeted by staff & he was happy to return. I would add that they have an excellent groomer as well. Having a veterinarian next door was reassuring as well. I would highly recommend Puppy Paradise in Saint Simons & no hesitation to drop Dex off on our next visit to the island.

Beau is a 6-year-old husky. He is incredibly smart, incredibly stubborn but also more on the…read morenervous/cautious side. I jokingly compare him to a cat. He's has never been one to be overtly affectionate. It's Beau's world and my husband and I are just living in it. My husband and I discussed many different routes and decided that with Beau's age, breed, and our schedules it would be best if we sent him to someone who would be able to give him the focus and attention, he needed to kick start in his training. Recall was really our number one goal for him. Spending 45 minutes on any given day to try and coax him back into the house, as you can imagine, gets old quick. If he doesn't wanna, he's not gonna. Enter Lynsey. Her love for dogs is obvious, just like her skills in training. Since Day 1, well before his stay, she was there providing guidance on how we could be better leaders/parents for our Fur Baby and this new lifestyle. Fun Fact: you CAN teach an old dog new tricks! It's been a week since we got our sweet boy back and we couldn't be happier! Beau is thriving with the new structure and overall seems to be a happier dog. He even seeks out love and cuddles from us now! We know that Beaus training isn't over. This is something that we will have to work on with him to make sure he's held accountable for his actions but it's nice to know that Lynsey will be there to help us/him along when/if we need her.
