We did not have a good experience boarding our dog at Puppy Paradise. First, it was very difficult to get in touch with them by phone to even book his stay. That should have been a red flag. Before dropping him off, our vet prescribed medication for a skin infection and we provided clear instructions for them to administer it. Unfortunately, they failed to do so. When we took our dog back to the vet after his stay, she confirmed that he had not received the medication, which meant he suffered unnecessarily while in their care. They also told us we'd be able to see pictures of him playing on their Facebook page during his stay. However, we only saw one photo of him, while other dogs were posted frequently. When we picked him up, we were shocked to find the bill was $185 more than we were told to expect. One of the extra charges was for a bath, which we had explicitly declined at check-in. Overall, we cannot recommend Puppy Paradise based on our experience. For the health and comfort of your pet--and your own peace of mind--we suggest looking elsewhere. read more

While on vacation we brought along our little ShihPoo Dex to Puppy Paradise. We picked Puppy Paradise because of prior comments. We made a GREAT decision. Dex can become anxious & have separation issues. We were greeted by smiles & reassurance. We were allowed to spend time with him during the day taking him on walks. On his return, he was greeted by staff & he was happy to return. I would add that they have an excellent groomer as well. Having a veterinarian next door was reassuring as well. I would highly recommend Puppy Paradise in Saint Simons & no hesitation to drop Dex off on our next visit to the island. read more

I was apprehensive about trying another groomer after a string of unpleasant encounters. I tried to teach myself how to groom my dog so I wouldn't have to pick up an unrecognizable dog again, but I discovered I was allergic to dog hair. We recently relocated to St Simons Island, so I decided to give Puppy Paradise a try after reading rave reviews. Let me tell you, I had extremely low hopes; I expected to be given another unrecognizable pup, but I was desperate because my fur-baby was in critical need of a grooming. Due to my worry, he had gone without one for the longest time. Olivia, our groomer, did a great job!! I showed her photos of how I wanted our buddy to look, and she replicated them perfectly. What a pleasant change! Finally, someone who knows how to groom a dog to your exact specifications! I consider myself extremely fortunate that the first groomer I tried in St Simons was the perfect fit for us. We'll definitely return, and Olivia at Puppy Paradise is highly recommended. VERY disappointed and upset. We boarded Ellie, our 5 mo chihuahua - pit bull mix (yeah,I don't know either.) When I went to check the facility out I was bluntly told I had to come after 6:30 to see the facility. Red flag there, but I read other reviews and took Ellie anyway. When we picked her up after a 4 day stay she smelled terrible, was dirty, lethargic and very traumatized. Her favorite toy was urine- soaked. She still has not eaten a full meal and has consumed an unusually large amount of water. She lost a pound of the 12 she had. 24 hours later the old Ellie is finally coming out. We had left her once before at another facility on the island and NONE of this happened. BEWARE. read more

Puppy Paradise is heaven on earth for dogs! Everyone is so caring of all of the dogs and the huge outside yard allows the dogs to run and play and swim. My puppy started going 1 day a week and was soon sitting at the garage door every morning at 7:30 waiting to go to Puppy Paradise. They post millions of photos, including sending home holiday photos of your dogs. As a bonus, your dog can be bathed and groomed while at daycare. The overnight kennels are spotless and dogs are very happy. Boarders spend the day running around with all the dogs. read more

Recently drove up to St.Simon Island for a day trip from St.Augustine, Fl. My wife and decided to check our 5 year old and very friendly Boxer into the Puppy Paradise for the day. Our experience was like so many other families. The facility is clean and the staff are all happy to be part of your pet's well being. My Boxer was comfortable as soon as she came thru the door. To the point that she did not even look back at me when the handler took her to the play area. Then when we came to pick her up. She was smiling and looking as good as when dropped her off. The check in and check out at the front desk was quick and easy. I highly recommend this well run pet daycare and will be using their services again. read more

puppy Paradise is truly our dogs' home away from home. We know that when we are out of town, our Maddie and Annie will be treated like family. The facility is extremely organized, well staffed, and well-managed. Special attention to medication or a dog's particular need is never a problem. Our dwarf, German shepherd, who is normally shy, has no problem, interacting with the staff and playing with the other dogs, thanks to the special care. The kennel manager gave her upon arrival. Puppy Paradise was a godsend to us during our vacation as we brought our newly adopted (of 4wks) rescue dog. His separation anxiety had been keeping us tied to our condo until the kind folks at Puppy Paradise came to our aid. He apparently wore out his welcome there hough, as we weren't treated nearly as friendly the last two days as at the beginning of the week. In fact, when we picked him up on his final day, we were not greeted, thanked, and when he was brought out, his leash was dropped on the floor for us (and was told he barked all day, making feel the need to apologize). I have only used the grooming at this place. I have actually been using this groomer Brittany for at least a year and she has always done a great job. I took my dog for a groom last week and Brittany, I never saw. Although, she called me, so I assume it was her that groomed him. There was a new girl there that took Ferdie in and brought him out, she was in the room with him and I can only assume Brittany, when I got there. My poor labradoodle needed groomed so bad, but NEVER to the point it hurts him and causes him pain. When I looked closely at him, I noticed his ears were bloody inside, his skin was very red on his belly and warm to the touch. He began nesting and acting like he never had before. His anus and genitalia area were bright red. I literally cried for the pain my doodle was in. His whiskers all got cut off, this never happened before. I personally don't think you should cut a dogs whispers off. He is now on medicated skin cream, pain pills, steroids for inflammation and antibiotics for skin and ears. His eyes were all bloodshot when I got him home and I then did the research and realized, that's not good. I would never take him back there again!!! I once recommended it, NEVER again. This last grooming has caused my beloved pet so much pain!! Beware and do not let this happen to your pet. I don't write many reviews, but when I do, it's because what was done was bad. We Love this place. Our two furry children love this place. And why not? They take such wonderful care of each and every customer they have. We have been with them almost from the day they opened and they keep getting better. I travel a lot and my wife owns 4 stores here on the Island. That means without the help of St. Simons Puppy Paradise, our Boys would be spending a lot of time at home alone. Not now! They So look forward to the days they can go to Camp. We have them signed up for the unlimited visits for a Very reasonable monthly fee. And, if we cannot make it back in time to pick them up, we know they are well cared for with overnight boarding. I took my dog, Benji to Puppy Paradise to board for a week while I was there for vacation. I was very weary at first being that I have never trusted anyone enough to keep my dog but the condo my family and I were staying at was not pet friendly so I had no choice. The ladies up front were all very nice especially when I called to let them know that I was running late because of traffic and my arrival time would be 15 mins after their closing time! One of the sweet ladies waited for us to get there and we were warmly welcomed! They were all very understanding about my concern for leaving my sweet boy and informed me that we could pick him up during our stay so he could join us on our adventures and bring him back! They did indeed let us do just that! We originally did not ask for a bath but after a week of ocean water and sand Benji really needed one! The young lady that bathed him was phenomenal. He smelt amazing and it lasted at least a week!! I will be using this establishment every time I take a vacation to St. Simons Island! Lovely place, sweet people, and my Benji was one happy boy! We have been taking our Australian Shepherd, Anna Belle Lee to Puppy Paradise for the last seven months a couple of days a week. She goes for half day sessions and she loves it. When Anna Belle get home she is worn out from playing with all her friends. Puppy Paradise has really helped Anna Belle socialize and interact with other dogs. Tina and her staff really take great care of all the dogs at Puppy Paradise. They also provide a over night boarding service that we have had to use a couple of time when we have gone out of town. They also offer group training sessions. We highly recommend Puppy Paradise for your personal dogs. read more

My daughter and I rescued a stray dog from Brunswick whom we named Annie (as in Little Orphan Annie). Since I have 6 cats, I couldn't keep Annie long term and didn't want her going to Animal Control where they are already overloaded with pets. I reached out to the owner of Puppy Paradise who generously & graciously offered to foster Annie at her facility (and they did this on their busiest weekend of the year, no less)! First ,we got Annie fully vaccinated (at the awesome Seaside Veterinary Hospital which shares the building w/Puppy Paradise. ) Next, we brought her to Puppy Paradise where we were met by an amazing group of employees (each of them nicer than the next!). My daughter was sad to drop her, but felt so much better after meeting the fabulous staff who were so welcoming to us and to Annie! They were incredibly thorough & professional too; I knew we were leaving her in good hands! In addition, the facility is clean, nicely decorated (it's a happy place!) and their outdoor play area is a dog's dream! Took my dog for an overnight stay at 3:00 pm. When I went to get my dog they not only charged me for an overnight $30 but a FULL day of day care $22. This is not my first time boarding a dog and have never run into this--check with other Pet Sitters and no one else would have charged this either. The owner said she could have charged me $7 AN HOUR and inferred she was doing me a favor. Suggest you check the #'s before leaving your dog. My dog was happy but I felt RIPPED OFF !! read more

It is extremely difficult to put into words how wonderful this place is, but I'll do my best since I believe they deserve all of the support and rave reviews they can get. I boarded my puppy here for 4 months while I was in training nearby. I had spoken with the owner, Tina, over the phone, to negotiate a good rate. From the beginning, she was so kind and flexible. I dropped my puppy off and filled out a few quick and easy forms. The staff there immediately bonded with her and had her playing with the other dogs. The staff was very accommodating and would get her ready for me whenever I would pick her up for a couple of hours. Every time I brought her back to Puppy Paradise, she was thrilled! I could tell she was just so happy and excited to be back there. When my puppy was running low on food, I would receive a very pleasant phone call from a staff member alerting me to it. One of my favorite things about this place is that the staff actually takes pictures and videos of all the dogs almost daily and posts them on their Facebook page. It's just a really cute and fun way to check in on your dog if you don't have time to visit. Tina just moved the business to a brand new, beautiful facility with a TON of room for the dogs to play. Besides all of the obvious benefits of boarding your dog here, the absolute best thing about this place is that the staff treats every dog like it is their own. One of the staff commented to me that he wasn't supposed to work on my puppy's last day there, but was excited to learn he was put on the schedule last minute because he could see my puppy one more time. I would like to thank all of the staff for being so kind and loving to my puppy. She was just so happy every day. I'm just so grateful I found this place and will definitely be using it again when I return to the area. We boarded our dog for 9 nights and 8 days..For your information...listed in the online brochure is $15 boarding/night charge and $35 /day for daycare. But what is not clear is that if they close at 6:30 and if you drop your dog off at 5:15, you will be charged $15 for boarding and an additional $20 reflecting a 2 hour daycare charge even if the dog was only there for an hour and 15 minutes ( a full day of daycare is $35). After talking to Tina about my bill, I was enlightened that in order to receive the $15 boarding rate, you must drop your dog off no earlier than 30 minutes before closing. This works in reverse upon picking your dog up. They open at 8:00 and if you pick up your dog at 8:45, you will be charged an additional $10, even if your bill is over $400. If her 30 minute policy was addressed in the brochure, I would have been able to take advantage of it and not had to bother her with asking for a credit of $30 which she gave unhappily. I recommend plainly addressing this policy in pricing. There seems to be another review confused about it also. read more
