Very convenient location with ample parking. Every time I've been in to get either cat food, litter or cat toys I am always greeted. The store is very clean and well stocked. I usually stop by during the week because it is less crowded. But even on a busy weekend, the staff always greets you and they are helpful. Plus, on the weekends you get to see everyone's pups being groomed. My favorite part is going by to see the kitties and other animals. If i could rate it 0 stars i would. The store manager Ileana Ramirez was extremely rude to me other customers coming in. Not only did she not greet me when coming in and leaving, she was on the phone laughing and telling customers who needed her assistance to wait or that she doesnt know anything about the dog questions i asked her that any other place usually knows and is on top of. I needed a recommendation for my sons reptile as well and she simply told me "i dont know anything about reptiles" and somehow this is the store manager.. luckily there an Assistant Store Manager named Monica who helped me out with what i needed and recommended me some amazing products! She told me her Store Manager Ileana Ramirez has been an issue since she has gotten there and has drove away many good employees and good paying customers, apparently she blows up randomly on customers who have questions for her she doesnt know.. good to know that now. This young lady Monica also mentioned that not only does Ileana Ramirez not know anything about the animals but she doesnt do any animal care either and has only been there for less than a year and is only there because she is dating someone named Gus in corporate! I overheard her telling an older lady she wont be allowed to return her fish because it had passed away and she just got it a week ago but the Assistant Store Manager told me customers have 7 days to return a fish.. So, my husband had a cat in his college years and now this cat is 17 years old. We have shared custody with his brother who takes care of her most of the time (shared custody part is a bit extreme, she stays with us once a month for a week since she likes her original house at my brother in laws house a lot more)... Pet supermarket is my go to place for all the purring needs of one of the most important members of my family, Choti. She is now 17 and quite a big girl and requires a lot of special food which I usually am able to find at pet supermarket. I don't actually remember when I started to go to the location on 441 and wiles but it seems as if i have been going there forever. The store is huge to begin with and I can imagine they carry every product even though all my time is spent in the cat section. The employees are extremely helpful and plentiful which I like because usually in a big box store you can never find help when you most need it. Compared to their competitors, Pet Supermarket has very fair prices. They have a large selection of different dog foods including grain free. I always find something to buy when I am in this store & have never left the store without being able to find something that I needed. They keep a large inventory in this store so if a particular item you need is not on the shelf there is a chance they may have it in the back room. They have deliveries all the time & a few times I have had a sales associate tell me the truck just came in or will be coming in later that day. The employees are honest. If they need to go in the back room to look for something they will tell you if it will take them more than a few minutes. That's pretty cool because while they are looking for your item you can be doing something besides waiting around. I can say that they are quick at restocking the shelves & do not mind looking in the back if your item is temporally not on the shelf. All of the employees I have met are very helpful. If they are not sure about something they do not hesitate to call another associate or even a manager to help. I have always received excellent customer service in this store. I recently adopted a dog. That being said, I am buying lots of stuff but also returning items that my new fur baby can not use. The return process is very easy. Any register/cashier can help you. If your purchasing something they can do the credit/return at the same time you are making your new purchase, all in the same transaction. I love easy checkouts & I love easy returns! I am holding back one star because of the parking lot. Finding a spot is never a problem but I seem to get confused getting in & out of this lot. I normally don't leave bad reviews at all but here we go. I came here to buy antiseptic spray for my dog's wound and I tried to pay for it in $12 cash then $0.83 on my debit card. The transaction wasn't working because you can only charge minimum $1.00 per card transaction. My problem isn't with that necessarily (although it is) but the person who was ringing me up, an older woman with a shaved head and glasses, said the only way to make it work was to void it then try again. Then instead of voiding it, she told me I had to buy something else to make the transaction work. Instead of having another associate come over to assist or even to ring me up on another register, none of that was done. It's stupid that I should have to buy something else in order to get the one item I wanted! This was frustrating and I drove out of my way to come to this location. Never again and I am extremely disappointed in how this situation was handled. Now I'm going to petco instead to get what I need. No hassle there. read more

I have been to this Pet Supermarket location a few times now. The store is located right on the corner of 441 and Wiles right by the street so it is hard to miss it. It's in the same plaza as the Home Depot. The one thing I love about this location is that there is a ton of parking! I always get a spot right out front. They also have a big private front entrance with a lot of grass so its nice for someone like me who always brings her dogs with her so they have a place to take a potty break before going inside (no accidents..bonus!). This is a pretty big store and it is nice and open when you walk inside. They have all the same products as the other stores but it's very roomie inside so its easy to walk around and not bump into people. Again especially when you have animals with you. I have been feeding the pups the Blue Buffalo Wilderness dog food for a while now (for small breeds cause the bits are smaller). They love it and it keeps them healthy and their coats super soft. It has small chewy bites inside with vitamins and antioxidants so it's worth the trip to the pet store to get their food. The staff is always friendly and asking if you need help. They have a big check-out area in the front too. There have been at least 3 cashiers at the check-out each time I have been here so I either don't wait in line or there is only one person ahead of me. And now that I have to buy the big bag of dog food since I am feeding two pups instead of one now, they always offer to walk me out to my car to put it in the trunk for me. I never take them up on the offer but still appreciate it nonetheless. read more

Terrible, terrible experience. We bought our first Betta Saturday. It was dead by Sunday. They gave us a replacement, I found him dead this morning. This is devastating my daughters and myself. It's too bad they can't replace our feelings of loss. The sick fish they sell have caused heartbreak. I should have known better than to purchase from them. The bettas mini containers were filthy. The fish were swimming in their own waste and old food. The bigger tanks of other assorted fish had up to ten deceased fish per tank. I knew better, but the excitement I saw in my daughters, changed my mind. I regret my decision greatly. I will never go back. My wife just gave me a 75gal tank and I have spend two weeks preparing the tank. I visit the store yesterday around 4:30 to pickup some fishes. The girl that I asked for help could not be bother, because she was to busy talking to two other workers. She saw me looking at the fishes, and just walked away without asking me if I needed help. I went over and ask her if she could help me. She came over answer a few questions, I explain to her that I was looking to get allot of fishes. She gave one fish that I was looking for and walked away not even looking at me, I went back to get her and she looked so upset that she had to help me. Ah..tis the season to spoil my 4 beasts a little more. The holidays have arrived and that means...more dust collectors..I mean TOYS! Its almost like they know when you have new toys and you cant just buy for one you have to buy for ALL FOUR. Yes, my house is the wild kingdom. Not really, but at times it sounds that way. I have 3 rescue dogs (a pomeranian, a chihuahua/pom, and a tibetian spaniel(she was my moms dog, i got her when my mom died) and a rescue orange female cat named Kitty Carlisle. As you can see in the photos the cat was the most enthused! The dogs will play with the toys but not like the cat. She ran and jumped and tore her package apart. Its not even christmas morning i kept thinking. Dang cat! I love the wide selection of animals from my favorites the gerbils(always wanted one) to snakes and even a humane society cat rescue adoption area. I saw people having their puppy trained and a huge array of foods toys and outfits. Yes, some of us dress our pets in clothing. I was lucky everything i bought was reduced (maybe because i have the petsmart card) but my 4 pet stockings filled with toys and balls and feathers and squeekies all came to 20 bucks! Yae me, wait, Yae animals i own! I was so happy to see the cat enjoyed some of her gifts(i havent opened it fully so she has some for christmas morning). The dogs have to wait as I opened one toy and gave it to the dogs I thought would play with it the most (the pom/chi and the spaniel) but neither really seemed interested. The pomeranian never played with toys only chewed the nose off a toy and played with it one year. I couldnt see not getting them a special stocking this year as I do most years. I have possibly 100 toys (some boxed up because they seem to get scattered all over the living room floor and it looks like...well...a mess and a half. One thing I noticed is their bagged treats like puproni were a bit higher there than in the grocery store. Maybe the pouches are larger at pet supermarket. We went to this pet supermarket attempting to find a lead for our puppy as she had chewed the last one. We bought quality lead and immediately left to try it out. Within five minutes she had chewed straight through it leaving it useless. We went back to pet supermarket to try and return it but they said they could not accept chewed items. Chewed items? With a dog? Not only that but the person we spoke to told US to take it up with the manufacturer. Why should we, the customer, take up a problem with the manufacturer if pet supermarket is the one selling it. We would not have had a problem if we had either been told we could not return it chewed or if there was a message on the package the lead was in that told us the same thing. However neither of these appeared. I will not be returning there again. read more

We went in to use our 10th bag free coupon. There were 3 people behind the counter re-stocking and only one woman actually ringing up customers while we were standing in line with a large 30 lb bag of dog food. No one attempted to open a register or even address us. Finally we came up to the counter and the woman verbally told us the total. I questioned it. She responded "yeah $12.21". I asked why she said "well you still need to pay taxes on the dog food". She was quite rude and never once asked if we found everything or apologized for the wait we incurred. And there was no one else in line and no one offered to take our bag of food to the car. This is not usual at most Pet Supermarkets. Pet Supermarket is my go to for my dachshund Rita's dog food. They have a nice variety of high quality dog foods, and the particular one she likes isn't carried at the "other" pet market. They also offer a rewards program. If you purchase ten bags of food in a year, you get one free. Definitely a good deal for something you need to buy anyway, unfortunately Rita only weighs 10 lbs, so she has never made it through ten bags in a year, but I am still able to use the $5 off $25 coupons that often come in the mail. This past weekend I took Rita to pet supermarket for here shots. I usually take her to the vet, but I was noticing each year her bill was higher and she was getting more and more shots. I just don't believe she needs that many shots, honestly there's probably a greater chance of me getting rabies than her, but you need the shot to get the rabies tag. Pet Supermarket offers a vaccine clinic about once a month at most locations. This particular clinic started at 10:30 am and I arrived around 11. There was quite a bit of a line, but the staff handled it well and within about an hour I was through the line and Rita had her necessary shots, a new rabies tag, and a year's supply of heartworm/flea medicine. This cost me ~$160, and about half of that was the year's supply of medicine....the vaccines were about $70. This is much less than I was paying for the vet, and not much more hassle. I will still take her to the vet for a yearly health checkup before she flies with me, but for shots and heartworm I think this is the way to go. The staff here is very friendly and always greets you as you enter. They are also incredibly helpful and everyone I have encountered knows the store well. My one complaint with Pet Supermarket is their toy prices. They offer many of the Kong brand and other more durable toys, but those come at a high price tag...my ten pound dachshund does not need a $20 indestructible toy, it takes her months to get the squeaker out of the dollar store toys, so I do wish Pet Supermarket offered a little more in terms of lower price point toys. read more

Only place I go to get my dog food and toys! The prices are unbeatable, plus the staff is pretty knowledgeable. I was pet sitting some bearded dragons and they helps with any questions I had. The rewards program is pretty good too- I did lose my first coupon for a free bag of dog food for my overfed bulldog and they couldn't help- but that was my fault! My first impression of this location was that it was clean, well organized, and friendly. This was my first time in this location. However, when I walked toward the aquariums, I was very disappointed to see that they are being neglected. Some of the tanks are over stocked with fish, some fish are gasping for air at the surface, and all the tanks were cloudy. I couldn't even see the beta fish in their cups because the water was so murky. I think this location would benefit from trained staff to take care of the aquariums. The employees didn't seem to know very much about fish. However, all of the staff was friendly and have good customer service. I am worried about the welfare of the animals. read more

This was the worst place I've ever been to for a cat vaccination !! Please go else where ! The management wanted to argue and antagonize the problem . They only have 8 carts available to the whole store so they don't have enough to accommodate the store or any customers . I was asked to take my things out and animals out of the cart with the cat in the crate because our purchases were not enough to use a cart until my cat was vaccinate already . My cat is very timid and has anxiety issues so I used a cart and had products I was buying and had to carry the cat crates and things we bought to give up a cart to a walk in customer and there where several carts outside . We went outside and got another cart in which the store clerk lied and said he already retrieved all the carts outside . And they came back again and took the cart started arguing and I asked to talk to the gm and they where not helpful . Standing in a 2 hour line with timid pets and products we buy is unfair and not professional ! I'm very upset because we are great customers we buy everything here and to be treated this way is a mind changer . I hope that higher up hears the issue and handles the employees responsible at the same time and order more carts! This was unsanitary there was 2 piss piles right next to us that we asked several times to clean and it went unnoticed for the first two notifications to the staff . Very bad . Unhappy .
