Chad has always been friendly the few times we've been there and was quick to help us or answer any questions we had. I feel like the people here really care about the animals which makes me happy as some places lack that aspect-- but this place seems to really care about the husbandry and care. You can find a lot of unique items here-- anenomes, live rocks, etc. Everything you need for an animal, they probably have, and if they don't, they probably have something better. I briefly peeked in the dog and cat food aisle, and they seem to carry exceptional brands for your furry friends.

The owner is amazing, and you can tell she and her staff genuinely care about every animal in the store. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable--they're true rockstars who are always happy to answer questions or just chat about the pets. Now, I find myself stopping in a few times each month just to look around and connect with the team! Their prices are competitive with, and often even better than, big box stores, and the care they provide to their animals is unmatched. Sonny was hand-fed, which is rare for small birds, and he's the sweetest, most social little guy. I couldn't be happier with him or with the experience at SunCoast. Literally refused to stop. My first experience post hurricane Michael on my own. What. A. Night. Mare. Over a debit card payment no less. Which wasn't an issue to either of us, nor would he get concerned for my safety driving or trying to get another copy of my debit card. I believe it set the tone for the hell that was to come for the next 2 1/2 to 3 years, of how people would be treating me and I would be treated. My dogs would be treated and neglected. The groomer at the time was very nice and excellent. Which is why it is sad that my older dog had to be bounced for a couple of years for grooming, his last years of life. I believe there are two companies that have been worthy of a five star rating since hurricane Michael.

I'm updating my review. This PetSmart used to be stinky. Maybe I came on an off day, but I returned…read morea few weeks ago and have to say that they seem to have resolved the smell issue. I used the vet service as they have vets around the country lined up through the same system, which is very convenient when traveling. You can also go on Sundays without having to go to an emergency clinic and pay those crazy prices. The vet and assistants were all competent. They tested my dog and gave her a quick diagnosis. Because my dog had gotten sick late the night before, I wasn't able to make an appointment, but even though they were booked all morning, they slid me in as soon as they had an opening, which turned out to be within half an hour. Not surprisingly, the vet is not interested in holistic medicine. She prescribed me antibiotic drugs for my dogs UTI and said that they would take up to two weeks for her to heal. When I inquired about using apple cider vinegar, she strongly discouraged it. I had to promise to bring my dog back if she didn't improve. But giving her the apple cider vinegar and rubbing tea tree oil on her make her infection and inflammation go away within one day.
