at first it was great but the last time my dog was groomed he came home and the person said he nipped at them when they touched his back leg. Love the way they set this store up with the aquariums & live pets in the back. I wish the other petsmart's set it up this way where the tanks are covered by a dark ceiling so the tanks look more alluring & appealing. We have been loyal customers of PetSmart's grooming services in Colorado for many years, but our experience at the Panama City Beach location, (15500 Panama City Beach Pkwy #340, Panama City Beach, FL 32413) was highly disappointing. The staff in the grooming department were unfriendly, unwelcoming, and seemed unhappy in their jobs. We interacted with four employees, and each one had a poor attitude. In particular, Carmella was extremely rude and unprofessional. When we brought our concerns to the store manager, Jenna, she dismissed them without any apology or acknowledgment of the issue. If you're looking for loving care for your fur baby, you won't find it at this PetSmart. They have lost our business for good. We recommend trying Dr. Norms or Happy Tails grooming services instead--you'll save yourself the stress, and your fur baby will thank you. read more

My dog went in for bath and trim and came back in pain with a broken tail. I took him to vet and he said it looked like they grabbed him by the tail or it was caught in a kennel. The groomer denied anything. I sent the $250 vet bill to corporate and they never paid it. I will never be back and don't recommend them at all, ever. read more

Jennifer groomed my Goldendoodle last Saturday and shaved her from her nose to the end of her tail. I never received a phone call and was so upset when I picked her up. I asked what happened and Jennifer rudely responded she was matted and I said there was no way, other than her ears and when I dropped off my 3 dogs they did a head to paw examination and I checked off the cut preferences etc. I said she looks ridiculous to Jennifer and Jennifer said Yes she does, never apologized and was so unprofessional and rude. For two weeks in a row a groomer has not shown to work and the appointment to get my dog groomed cancelled. First on 6/1, then today (6/7) happened again. As I was driving onto the parking the cell phone rang and it was Petsmart telling my appt cancelled!! So I had to turn around and go home as they could not accommodate my dog, in spite of the fact this was the second time in a row they have done this. I decided to give PetSmart grooming one last shot even after they gave my dog back to me with a big cut on his leg last time that no one seemed to know how it happened. Today, when I went to drop my dog off, the groomers were running behind so I had to wait, then the staff was rude and seemed inconvenienced when I asked if the store would ever go back to allowing customers to drop off their pets early for morning appointments which I have done numerous times in the past- until earlier this year when they stopped allowing it. I have been getting my dog groomed at PetSmart for years, but now I will find another groomer. This place has gone way downhill. read more

Couldn't find anyone to wait on me except the cashier no one else was around and also some of the prices were absolutely ridiculous for a tube of dog toothpaste and then went over to the fish and there were some fish quite a few actually just floating dead in the tanks nobody had even cleaned them and get rid of them I would assume they clean their tanks and get rid of the Dead ones. Took my beagle to get groomed and apparently after they groomed him they tried to shove him in a crate and he bit the groomer. They then proceeded to call Animal Control and give out all of our information (address, phone number, names) WITHOUT our consent!! If you are a dog groomer then figure out a way to put a dog in a kennel without provoking him because he would NEVER bite anyone unless he was scared. And how dare you give out our home address without our permission!! They also have no solid proof of him biting anyone. Made an appt for grooming. Went in 10 minutes before the appt time and they said they didn't see the appt in the system. Showed them a screenshot of the confirmation and verified it was the correct date, time, and location. They said they still didn't see it and couldn't help us. Spoke to the manager and she said it was a glitch in the system and they couldn't help it and were booked all day and were booked weeks out. This was a total lie because we had just made the appt the night before and there were 4 times slots available to choose from. At this point we opted to take our business elsewhere. This place is horrible. We went there to buy fish tank plants. When we brought them home they were infected and killed out fish. When we called the store we talked with Abby the store Manager. She is rude, unprofessional, and incompetent. She had no solution or options to the problem that Pet smart killed out fish. This was my dogs first time being groomed. He's a lab mix, 1.5 years old. Well he was terrified going in. I didn't feel any warmth from the staff inside. He got a bath, a treatment from shedding & his nails filed. He looked good & smelled great. His harness was twisted when I picked him up. His report card said "he was so scared of everything" which i expected but I feel that the groomer should have spoke to me. The staff seemed inconvenienced. I feel if you are working with animals you should love them. There was no love here. For $70 I'll continue bathing him myself. I tried to bring my dog back again just for a nail trim and file and they failed again to hold onto my dogs rabies information and my own information. This was my first time taking my dog to get groomed in Florida. It will be my last time ever going back. The groomer was really unprofessional and kept telling my dog to "chill out" while we finished up paper work. A diligent groomer typically takes the entire day on my dog, she was done in 2 1/2 hours. Not only did she not tell me she cut my dog but the entire cut is uneven all over . Her privates are huge and swollen ( not sure how they even managed to do that ). When we picked her up, her ears had been shaved in a cocker spaniel style. I was shocked. My husband was beyond angry. They wanted $75. I wanted the manager. I got the manager, no charge, and the phone number of the district manager. The groomer is separate from the store. I sent my letter, photos and sentiments to the corporate office. Their response... zero. So I made a phone call. Left them a message name, number, in reference to grooming shop. Their response... zero. How much money have I spent in their store since then... zero. Please if you care about your pets DO NOT take them to the grooming area in Petsmart. I honestly have never written a review but after my 2 experiences with them realized that they don't take pride in their work nor do they in their customer service. I have a beautiful goldendoodle with gorgeous long eye lashes...well the 1st time I took her they cut about half of them off! Not to mention a few areas that were left long due to them not doing a through job. The groomers make you agree to a price before hand and now I see why...to rip you off. The 2nd time I took her, I specifically mentioned the eye lashes and wrote on the paper next to the price I was made to initial by not to cut them....once again THEY DID!!! I will not be going back. After moving to Panama City Beach a year ago I finally decided to try Petsmart for my two small dogs grooming needs. The first time I took both of them and I felt like they listened and cared as to what I wanted done. I paid for an express service for both of them (back to back appointments) and they both looked okay when I picked them up. Then I noticed that one of them was lame behind, the vet said it was most likely a result of standing on her hind legs too long while being groomed. When it was time for another groom I made appointments for them a week apart and did not opt for the express groom. My groomer was 15 minutes late arriving at the salon for my appointment but I dismissed this due to recent hurricane and travel issues. My dog looked okay when I picked him up but did have lots of straggly hairs in numerous areas of his body. I was upset that the groomer did not bring him to me to see if I was satisfied and thus she did not receive a tip. Today I had an appointment for my other dog with a specific groomer. I had received 6 reminder emails before the appointment and numerous text messages all within a 6 day period. I confirmed the appointment this morning. When I arrived I was told my groomer was not going to be there and someone else would do my dog! I was irate and asked why I was not called. I spoke to the store manager to express my anger at how I was treated and left. Doubt I will return as I do not feel that they treated me as a valued customer or with any degree of respect. read more
