We have given Pet Supplies in West Bend several opportunities to groom our dogs and we finally just can't do it anymore. The skill level is so low it is embarrassing. It looks like someone cut our dogs hair with their eyes closed. To add insult, they feel the need to tell you how to raise your dogs without knowing any history. I recently visited Pet Supplies Plus with a friend, and we were absolutely appalled by the service we received. My friend's dog recently gave birth, and since the puppy will soon be mine, we had a lot of questions about puppy food as we're both new to this. The employee on duty--a girl with multiple piercings--couldn't have been less helpful. She barely looked up, gave us dismissive answers, and made it painfully obvious that our questions were a waste of her time. We left feeling disrespected and more confused than when we arrived. I took our dog to Pet Supplies Plus in West Bend a few days ago for grooming. When he was done, I picked him up and went to pay at the cashier. The high school aged cashier asked me for my name and phone # so he could put me in their system. I complied. Then he asked me for my email. I said "no thank you" to which he replied he couldn't proceed with the transaction without it. I told him to just enter anything because my email is private information and I didn't feel comfortable sharing it. He promised that they wouldn't SPAM me and I replied that they might not but they collect that information and then sell it to other places that DO. Then I requested that he call his manager to help process the transaction. He used his little walkie-talkie to page her 4 or 5 times with no response. Finally she replied back that if he needed her, he should use his radio. He replied that he WAS using the radio. She finally arrived and it looked like she ran into a barbed wire fence on the way to work and decided to wear it into work. I wondered how much a person has to hate themself to mutilate their face with all those piercings. She pushed the transaction thru while informing me that it's company policy to collect email addresses. I replied that I wouldn't be giving them any more business due to their company email policy, her slow response and the lack of training given to the cashier. I've been a loyal customer of Pet Supplies Plus for a while, but my recent experience on 10/25/2024 was disappointing enough to make me reconsider. I was shopping for dog food with a friend, and the employee who "helped" us (she had noticeable facial piercings) was shockingly unhelpful and rude. My dog Zeus just gave birth to a puppy, named Venus, I'm giving her to the friend I was with. Naturally, we had questions about food options for this new baby. When I asked questions about the dog food options, she responded with an attitude, seemed irritated, and even made negative comments that didn't help with what I needed at all. Her lack of knowledge and dismissive behavior left me and my friend feeling frustrated and unvalued as customers. It was enough to turn what should have been a simple shopping trip into an unpleasant experience. I hope management looks into this and considers better training or hiring employees who are actually interested in helping customers. This encounter has really affected my view of Pet Supplies Plus, and I'm not sure I'll be returning anytime soon, especially considering there is a Petco just down the street. read more

Everyone is so helpful and pleasant. My dog Angel is afraid of everyone and everything. Alex manages to get her nails trimmed. She is really patient and caring. Alex used to groom my other dog before she passed. I received a condolence card from the whole staff....very thoughtful and heartfelt. read more

3/14/23---I didn't know you offered curbside pick-up. When I went to your website I saw it and ever since then got hooked! I work a lot so this service you offer helps me so much. I order online, used a GREAT coupon, and picked up my order after work in between errands! Thank you for making my life a little easier. I much more prefer Pet Supplies Plus over Petco. PSP seems more personable and friendly. Their grooming service is really great and I love that they even provide a bathing area for you to wash your dog yourself. Best of all, it's a local business and supporting local is key! read more

I took both of my dogs to the dog wash at the West Bend store. It's a great inexpensive option to clean them up when they get into things. The dog wash had everything I needed including the shampoo for the dogs and an apron to keep me dry. The dog wash was very clean and set up well. The clerk helped me get going and checked back frequently to make sure things were going okay. I would highly recommend the store and the service! read more

My 12 year old dog needed her nails trimmed. Most of the time I take her to the vet for this as she does not enjoy the procedure, but I didnt want to wait for an appointment. The groomer was awesome, keeping her calm and relaxed throughout the process. I also purchased dog treats and some toys while there, and all the staff was helpful. We will be back! read more
