Would recommend prices-very reasonable especially for the medication if you need any. Our dog had a bad leg and had to have operations. She wouldnt excersize the muscle so guy got us in touch with a water therapy place (swimming lessons for dogs!!) He then helped us claim it back on the insurance. Would recomend 11/10 for the friendly staff and for the quality of service here. Plus they remember my dogs name every time we come in !!

Upon arrival, there was no introduction from the vet, and did not see to want to meet my nervous german shephard. The vet seemed very annoyed that he was meeting a new patient, and after I asked him why he felt so upset, he became verbally aggressive towards myself, pregnant fiancee, and dog. After he started to verbally attack us about the nature of our dog (whom is very anxious around new people as he is a rescue dog), we decided to leave. I would not recommend this man to anyone! He is a very rude, arragant and a vile man. I do not know how he has sustained his business so far.

They also deliver which is great and saves me having to carry a 2-stone bag of organic dog food home on the bus. Staff are really nice and helpful and there's also a big selection of daft squeaky toys in a variety of mad shapes available. Other animals are catered for - rabbit food, cat treats, budgies bells etc are can be purchased and it's all very reasonably priced.

The staff are always very pleasant and helpful, they know what they are talking about and have previously recommended vets and grooming services to me before, which is always very handy to know. The prices are not too bad as I have been to more expensive pet stores in Birmingham before. I am not sure what the other items are like, but my cat certainly likes the cat food from here, so that is great. I would recommend this store to those in the area who have pets!

This veterinary surgery in Quinton is one of the charity's 48 UK pet hospitals. The hospital's services are only for pet owners who are eligible for PDSA support (you can check this online). The hospital is staffed by highly qualified vest and nurses and they have facilities for a range of medical and surgical procedures onsite. It is well worth investigating if you are struggling for cash and have a poorly pet.

I hate this palce, We took our bombay kitten (7 months) for a simple operation (spaid)…read more after an hour we get a phone call saying there was a complication, this was at 10am and i was told they had to run some test and i would get a call in an hour. after calling repeatedly and getting fobbed off i finally get a call at 3pm telling me that the kitten had brain damage and would never be able to walk again. we then arive at the vets and they gave us the option of keeping her alive on pills but we felt this was no life for a cat as she could not even move head and she looked lifeless. not the playfull kitten we had shared our life with for the last 5 months this has been so upsetting and she is truly missed by all the family, bombays are so loving, personal and vocal. a friend told me today he took his 12 week old puppy for its injections last week only for it to comeback with kennal cough, he then went back to the vets to see many other people complaining about the same condition. he also reports the vet did not even clean the table before treating the puppy. I WOULD SO AVOID THIS PLACE FOR THE LIFE OF YOUR PETS!!! YES THERE CHEAP BUT I PAID THE PRICE, we just miss her so much.

Really enjoyed visiting the National Pet Show…read more Thanks to Victoria from Yelp Birmingham for sorting tickets. Hall 20 is quite a walk from Birmingham International railway station but I knew where I was going to it wasn't so bad. Lots of lovely animals to look at great for kids to see pets they might not have pestered their parents for previously. It looses a star for being far to warm in the hall but I presume the building doors can't be opened in the same way that they can for regular events. Was glad to see lots of water available for the animals to try and correct this. Well worth a visit for an afternoon!

I love animals, but living in a one bed flat (and being almost constantly out), my lifestyle doesn't lend itself to keeping a pet at home. The National Pet Show was being held at the NEC in hall 20. If you've been to the National Exhibition Centre before you'll know it's a bit of a labyrinth. Hall 20 is right down the other end of the centre from the train station, so it's about a 10 - 15 minute walk from Birmingham International. Outside the show was a small desk where you could enter a competition to win lots of different prizes, however these were all orientated towards pet owners (free food, bed etc), so we gave this a miss. Once in, there was animals everywhere! Lots of cats, dogs, rabbits to the more unusual lizards, Degu's and chickens! We did a bit of a circle around the hall and checked out the ferret rescue, before making our way around lots of different pet related merchandise. We ended up seeing donkeys, ponies and alpacas before and getting to the dog shows. There must have been around 30+ different breeds of dog to stroke and admire. After this section was the cats! There wasn't as many different types of feline, but they were all totally gorgeous and very friendly. The owners of all of the animals were brilliant; answering questions and giving insights into the quirks of each breed. After the bigger pets came the "small furries". As a huge rat fan, I was pleased to see the "National Association Of Fancy Rat Owners" were in attendance, as well as a showing from guinea pigs, rabbits and degu's. As well as the furry side of pets, there was a lovely stand from the "National Chicken Rescue" where little chicks were happily chirping away and "Wierd'N'Wonderful" who had bought along a brilliant selection of lizards, scorpions and spiders to look at. I have to admit, it seems as though we missed the cheese, wine and other bits and pieces that have been mentioned in the reviews! We did catch some of the "rabbit show jumping" (Which was quite a sight) before calling it a day. I had a lovely hour and a half petting the animals and chatting to the owners, but this is definitely a show geared up towards small children and pet owners. Don't get me wrong, I would revisit; but if you're a pet person or have small kids - this is a must go!
