I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience warrants one. My husband and I have been loyal customers for quite some time, regularly spending hundreds of dollars purchasing dog food and supplies here. We've always had positive interactions and have even met the owner, Nick, who is genuinely kind and runs a great business--or so we thought. After visiting the dog park next door, we stopped in to use the self-serve dog wash for our dog, Lily. She is extremely well behaved, and we have used these bathing facilities multiple times in the past without a single issue, including occasions when the owner was present. A pleasant young employee helped us get set up, and everything was going smoothly. Midway through the bath, an older employee with grey/blonde hair came on shift and immediately displayed a rude and confrontational attitude. She insisted that our dog must be tied at all times in the tub, citing store policy. While I understand safety policies in general, this was unnecessary in our situation. Lily was calm, sitting or lying in the tub, and posed no risk to anyone. What made the situation worse was the employee hovering and repeatedly watching us, clearly looking for something to criticize. When I attempted to comply by attaching the leash, Lily became distressed, so I removed it. The employee then returned to confront us again and lectured us about the policy, showing no flexibility, discretion, or professionalism. Notably, this policy has never been enforced or mentioned during any of our previous visits. The issue here is not simply a policy--it is poor customer service. Rules should be enforced with common sense and respect, neither of which were present during this interaction. This employee enforced the policy in a way that lacked empathy and basic human consideration--something she might better understand if she were on the receiving end of such treatment. As a result of this experience, we will not be returning and will be purchasing dog necessities elsewhere. It's unfortunate that one employee's conduct was enough to undo years of positive experiences. read more

Absolutely love this company! My dog, Hawk, HATES dry food unless you add something to it. I have tried multiple brands (Purina, Alpo, Blue Buffalo, Nutrish, Homemade, Wet food ALL OF IT!) and he won't eat it unless it has an egg in it or cheese. My cat, Kitty, will eat anything but she's always hungry and she throws up everything. I ran into PetWants at the Home and Patio Showa couple weeks ago and I bought two dog flights and one cat flight. Hawk eats the kibble with no additions to it and he bounces like a kangaroo when it's feeding time he loves it so much. His fave is the duck mix and he is already softer and more energetic. Kitty loves her mix and she has even cut down on the begging because she's actually full now! She hasn't thrown up once and she genuinely loves it, to the point she guards her bowl now, she won't share lol. We have never seen that from her! The PetWants van was right outside my complex today so we popped in to rave about the food and get some suggestions on treats and so on and they were just super nice and gave great feedback so now we know what to add to our next order. I did the math, we spend about $56 a month on dog food and he goes through so much because it didn't have the nutrients he needed. We spent about $40 on the cats food for the same reason. Now we spend roughly $43 on dog food because it's so nutrient dense and roughly $25 on cat food. Which leaves me the excess for treats and so on! I'm so excited and I really hope everyone checks this food out. It really is awesome! read more
