This is the most outrageously expensive pet store I have ever seen in my life. I've left there more than once empty handed, because although they had what I needed, it was triple the price of getting it anywhere else. It seems like a pet store aimed at people with more money than brains, which there are apparently plenty of in Soldotna. The main drag in soldotna is turning into Anytown, USA as all these big chain stores move in and regular Alaskans get priced out. Go to a local store if you can, online is also cheaper. read more

I I ordered some canned pet food online . When I went to pick it up I realized I ordered the wrong flavor . I asked the girl if I could exchange it for the same brand. size that I paid for it online just a different flavor . She told me that I could not do an even exchange. She said I would need to refund it and buy it again and I would not get the online price I paid . I told her the price the item brand and size is all the same . She said I would have to rebuy it and pay a higher price for the cans . I thought this was poor customer service. I had to pay $12.00 more for the same item I have never been treated so rude. Horrible customer service . I will not. be back . I called the corporate office and they said that is not how the store treats customers and it should have been an even exchange . Groomer made sure my dog was comfortable. She usually is very skittish around people she doesn't know. He made sure to make her feel comfortable and she went right to him. (Sure rare) Did an amazing job on bathing and deshedding. I have a husky and she needed to be brushed badly due to losing her winter coat. Never have enough frozen thawed prey there. Always running out of prey and bugs. All the reptiles look sick and are in wrong setups and fed wrong things. It makes me sad to go in there. Blonde older lady has been rude numerous times. I ask them to call me when something comes in and they won't call me. They never have large hides for the animals they sell. I buy reptile lights and fixtures that break within a month of use. No tongs that are not bamboo! Can't dangle thawed prey with bamboo tongs ugh. I tell ppl that work there that a reptile is sick they don't care but I got shop there only store that has frozen thawed prey :( read more

Jamie groomed our 13 year old golden and did a fantastic job. Our dog has hip issues and can't stand for long periods of time so Jamie scheduled extra time to give the dog rest breaks. We wanted her fur neatened up and Jamie did an excellent job. It was a perfect experience! read more

I wouldn't even give it one star! Sick, dying fish - employees DO NOT know the proper way to transfer their shipments into their tanks. I watched Mickeala? cut the tops of bags and just DUMP THEM IN. And they wonder why the fish get ICH almost immediately!Then they sell the sick fish the day they come in and close the tanks down THE NEXT DAY! I will no longer give them ANY business and wouldn't get ANY fish there! I will order online from Petsmart and go to Anchorage once a month to purchase the supplies for ALL my pets! They lost a lot of business because I have birds, fish, cats and dogs. My last trip to ANC. I bought 166 fish for only $47! read more

We have always enjoyed having our dog groomed at your business. Although our experience was the worst at the Soldotna store. It first started on Friday afternoon when we stoped to obtain an appointment for our toy yorkie. We waited in the grooming lobby for around ten minutes while the employee grooming egnored us. We had to flag down a worker on the store floor. When a young girl stoped I asked her if there was a phone number we could call to set up our appointment. She explained that it wasn't necessary that she would get the proper person to assist us. We were a little shocked when she had to get the groomer that was egnoring us. We were told the only appointment was Saturday morning at 8 a.m.. We accepted that time and went home and had her shot records faxed and was so excited to have our pet groomed. We showed up 5minutes early. We waited in our car until 20 after and Thersa the manager told us to come back later and she would receive the works. At 2 we dropped her off and waited two hours to discover they neglected to trim her nails or the hair on her legs. We were told by Thersa that they didn't know what to do.
