Do not recommend. The guy that picked our truck up got stuck in our ditch and tore up half our driveway then when he was trying to get unstuck let our truck roll off the flatbed and into the ditch on the other side of the road. He had to have another guy get him out and pull our truck out of the ditch. Then when we spoke with the owner he said he would fix our driveway and ditch but never showed back up. So I am having to fix my own driveway that they messed up and the guy wanted his tow price even though he didn't get the truck to the correct location or out of the ditch he put it in.. read more

I highly recommend Stephen. He was not only professional and efficient but also made me feel completely safe as a young girl in the dark. Despite my car being in a tough position, he maneuvered it out without even a scratch. I was so worried that would be impossible. Their response time was only 20 minutes and I paid 100$ for the service (which I felt was very reasonable). The level of care and attention to detail he showed was outstanding. They charged an unbelievable price... the police who were on the scene of the accident called this company( hmmmm think they may be in bed with each other ) when we told police we were going to call a wrecker the police officer stated he had already called for a tow truck.... that was Pete Johnson. After having my car towed there for at least 2 days, i came in to talk to one of employees that work in the front desk. I requested them to get my car out and pay for the expenses. While talking to the employees at the towing place, the way that the employee was talking to me was very rude and incompetent. Lack of service and the workers needs to have more mannerism and respect for their customers. Plus they overcharged people with towing. Never coming back here again due to horrible service and experience from just getting my car out. read more

My driver had an over sized load leave a steep crown in the road off of 75. These guys got on scene in a hurry, we're professional and helped pull our 320,000lb unit out of a ditch and got us back on the road. They managed to do all of this without causing any damage to the unit and followed us, unasked, to a spot a couple miles down the road to make sure everything was good on our equipment. The guys were all friendly and professional and given the situation we were in they did a hell of a job getting us out of a bind. Absolute shit. Trust me. Maybe Tim, the employee, was in a bad mood; however, that should be no excuse for awful service. He tried to screw me over for every dollar he could. He did not open the hood, yet he tried to tell me my radiator was broken just so I wouldn't drive it. He towed my car at an angle against the highway to make the underneath of my car was destroyed. Then, at the dealership, he deflated all my tires. This towing service has NO INTEGRITY and will do more damage to your car. I was forced to give one star; it deserves zero. SCAMMING PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE A BUSINESS. THEY DO NOT WANT TO ACTUALLY HELP. They only think of themselves and not you. There are other towing services out there. My car died on the side of I45S. Roadside assistance told me 2 hrs till someone could come get me. I called Pete Johnson & he told me they could come get me in 20 minutes but they did not usually do Roadside/Car Clubs. I immediately called my RA, told them the situation & that I could not wait the 2hrs for the other guy to show up. My RA paid a portion of the towing fee & PJ towed me to the nearest Firestone. Super quick service, super nice employee. Would highly recommend if you can't afford to wait 2hrs like me. A+!! Super quick service. Great employee bedside manner. My car wouldn't start and after trying and failing to get it jumped I called Johnson Towing thinking that I had to get it towed. When the driver made it to me he made sure to check if he could jump it. His jumper was able to get my car going and I was able to avoid the hassle of getting my car towed. Not me but a friend of mine was trying to leave an apartment complex on 4/5/19 and a tow truck was parked behind him (not directly behind, but enough to almost hit it when he backed out). As he tried to leave, the driver watched him trying to back out of the spot. My friend rolled down the window and asked "you cant move the truck?" The driver aggressively states that if he can't pull out then he shouldn't be parked there. he then gets into a heated argument where the driver of this company called him a faggot. doesn't help that a few firefighters were present and did nothing at all. He then parked his vehicle with his emergency lights on and took pictures of his license plate and company. I called the company to complain, but the man he spoke to on the phone did not seem like he was at all concerned about my friend's issue. The Driver's name is Tim and his license plate number T28-41F. What I dont understand is why someone representing a company would verbally assault someone when all they were trying to do was leave. if you ask someone politely that youre being blocked by their car, you should just move your car. Great service. My son's truck engine blew on the way to church band practice late Saturday afternoon. I selected this wrecker based on having the most Yelp stars of anyone in the area. Driver was prompt, professional, and though it cost a lot to tow it from Huntsville to Spring, the service was great. I had a terrible day today. I locked my baby in my truck. I freaked out and called my husband and asked him who I should call. He immediately jumped on Google to search for a wrecker service in Huntsville. He called Pete's. After what felt like an eternity (watching my baby already start to sweat), the guy was there within about 5 minutes. He got there and saw how distraught I was and worked FAST to get my truck open. He was so nice and sympathetic. I have always gotten a little annoyed when I saw wrecker trucks speeding around everyone on the road. But now I have a completely different perspective. When this company had my friend's truck for 4 hours only, they charged her almost $400 to get it, she had friends with her and when they were both inquiring as to why so much. They were then yelled at, and one of the guy was forcing his chest on the friend shoving him out the door. Police was called, in which these guys said "we are in Walker Co and we have the cops in our pocket!" Cops did show up and charges were pressed against them. NEVER EVER USE THIS CO!!! read more

I needed my car taken from Weisner to the junkyard to get it scrapped. (First car I ever had) and they got to Weisner 20 minutes after we called them, unlike Drake's who didn't even show up after 3 hours. Tim from Pete Johnson's is super friendly and personable and professional. I'm a 22 year old woman and I felt very safe around him too. When I signed off and paid for the tow ($65) he gave me my keys and my front license plate as memorabilia. I had told him earlier that it was my first car and he sympathized. I was in a horrible accident on I-45 headed south to Houston. It was pouring down rain and I was shaken up as you can imagine. Hank Hill was the first on response! This was by far the best experience I've had with towing. He made my experience and the situation the best it could have gone, considering. He gave me some options, towed my truck to the nearest collision center. After filling out my paperwork at the collision place and getting a ride to enterprise, I realized I left my DL at the collision place, I called him and he brought my DL. He was genuine, helpful, comforting and knowledgeable about what I should do with insurance and gave it to me straight! I'm a grad student studying Dietetics at Sam Houston State University and live at an off-campus complex. I got home from school and went to get groceries at the H-E-B on 11th street. After shopping and loading up my car, I went to put the keys in the ignition and heard this click click noise. I was in disbelief and tried it again and nothing. Went over to AutoZone down the street where they took me back to my car and brought a jump box to see if that would help, but it didn't. I called 3 tow companies and the first two said they wouldn't be able to get to me for hours. I called Pete Johnson Towing and explained how my car wouldn't start and if they could tow me to Firestone. They said someone will be there right away and asked what vehicle I had and where I was parked in the parking lot. About 10-15 minutes went by and I saw their truck and motioned to them I was there. The driver, Tim, asked me if I could still put my car in neutral and luckily I could, so while he pushed the car back I turned the steering wheel. He then loaded up my car and we proceeded to the Firestone on I-45. Tim, even called Firestone and said he was on the way and asked if they had an open bay to look at my car and they did. He even stayed there while the mechanics were looking at my car mostly because he knows them very well. I only had to be towed maybe 3ish miles are so and the cost of the tow was much less than I expected. All in all, I appreciate this company because they were quick, efficient, and professional! read more

I had my truck towed by this company not even after 10 minutes of being parked in the wrong lot, when i went to get my vehicle i inquired as to who owned the lot i was parked in and why i was towed. The person at the front desk got so defensive about me just trying to figure out what was going on this man threatened to "go in the back, put a t-shirt on and beat the shit out of me" right there in his shop, his assistant then commenced to walk around the counter and stand behind me out of my view obviously ready to blindside me. Of course i then got worried about these 2 large men about to jump me in there own shop so hurried up and left. I would file a police report against these people if i had any proof at all about what happened which they know i dont, so of course they dont care whatsoever. Also i asked a man about the security camera installed in there shop and his words were "dont worry about the cameras we can get rid of any footage we want." So i advise you, please stay away from these people. read more
