My experience with them began during a very stressful situation: my Mercedes CLS 550 had been sitting in my driveway for months because the ignition wouldn't turn, and no mechanic I contacted could diagnose the issue or offer real help. When I first called, Ben answered. He was empathetic, patient, and genuinely kind. Even though what I was describing was outside his scope, he didn't brush me off. Instead, he connected me with someone more knowledgeable -- Josh -- who went above and beyond to help. Josh recommended a locksmith he trusted since they didn't have a mobile mechanic who could come to my home. That recommendation ended up being a lifesaver. After K&S Lock & Key got my car running again, the very first place I drove was straight to European Auto Service. Despite not having an appointment, Josh fit me in right away to assess the vehicle. He walked me through everything that needed attention, explained the issues clearly, and provided a fair and honest estimate. The entire staff was friendly, professional, and incredibly accommodating. What stood out most was their integrity. They didn't have to help me the way they did -- especially before I was even a customer -- but they chose to anyway. That level of customer service is rare. I took my BMW to James with a drivetrain fault after the BMW dealership had quoted me an arm and a leg to fix this "major problem". When I explained the symptoms to James he immediately diagnosed that the issue to a sensor in the turbocharger and the cost to repair was a fraction of the dealer quote. I have now been taking my cars (Porsche & BMW) to James for over three years and the service is always fantastic, friendly, very reasonable pricing and totally honest in all aspects of the work. read more

James is probably the most honest, trustworthy, and fair person I have met in the automobile repair service industry. I brought my BMW 435i to him to install a rear side window that was broken by vandals, and repair a broken sideview mirror. He and his crew did an excellent job on that. I later brought it to him for a wheel alignment after I installed a new set of shocks and springs. The steering was the most responsive it had ever been. Most recently I brought it to James to evaluate my battery and clear some trouble codes that popped up after I got my car back from BMW of The Woodlands. Numerous codes popped up that were not there before I brought it to them. James ran his analyzer, found the root cause which was a broken wire at the battery that BMWoTW likely broke, and he cleared the codes and would not take my payment. As I told him then, as long as i own this BMW I will take it to him for service. read more

I've had several cars needing various service or other things done to it.... my cars include a Mercedes E class and Maybach GLS600.... Not only are the people there all super friendly, but their work is fantastic and professional. I live about 5 miles away, and they always offer to drive me home or pick me up. I saved quite a bit by getting my service done here versus at Mercedes dealer, and it' so much closer. read more

I called yesterday for information regarding auto inspections, and due to an accident, had not driven my car for quite a while. Jessica at the front desk explained that it was not uncommon to fail emissions if the car had not been driven at least 10 miles right before the appt. and that the computer needs that to activate for emissions testing. evidently it is common in those circumstances for the car to fail. OMG - I can not say enough GREAT things about these people! My 82 year old recently widowed mother knows nothing about cars, technology or frankly handling anything my father always handled taking care of her the past 60 years. Her Mercedes E-class needed a new auxiliary battery, oil change and other small gremlins/messages that popped up. I live 200 miles away and couldn't bring her car in for her. She had never heard of Uber and scared of taxis. When I called to schedule service, Kendra answered the phone and was the kindest, most supportive woman, who put me in touch with James who told me not only would he have a technician drive my mom home after dropping her car off but that they would also drop the car off when completed!!! I was planning to drive 200 miles to pick it up so it wouldn't stress my mother out but James took care of that for me. My mother dropped car off and James called me and gave me a detailed quote, which was exactly as expected and under budget compared to the dealership 50 miles away from her. He called me again when it was completed and said he was on way to pick mom up and have a technician take him back so my mother wouldn't have to. WOW! I was so happy! The only car related surprise I got was the kind you NEVER expect! A GOOD ONE! James told me that he found a faulty switch and ran over to get a new one and he replaced it at no cost to us. ($85 cost to him) He said he didn't want any question about it later. Are you kidding me!? My mom was in tears of joy just knowing there are people and businesses like this that still exist. We will FOREVER use EAS for all future needs. This was my first dealing with this service center and as far as I know my mother's as well. James was recommended for working on my Volkswagen. I had taken it to the local dealership several times to request checking everything over because I had bought it used with high mileage. I wanted to take care of any issues and get the car up to par. The dealership not only failed to mention an extremely dangerous alignment issue that was wearing my tires down to the seams but also charged me over $3000 in now "questionable repairs." I was told by the dealership I had another $2000 in engine repair to do, so I took the car to James for a second opinion. The car was a bit of a rough drive. Come to find out, not only did the engine issue not exist, but I was in dire need of the above mentioned alignment and new tires (which the dealership never mentioned.) James fixed the alignment, put on some nice performance tires and explained in detail the function and needs of the turbo engine. When I left, the car drove like a dream! Later, I took the car back to James to help with the convertible top. I dropped in and he spent well over an hour diagnosing and explaining along the way the issue and provided me an estimate for the part at no charge. I will be taking the car back to James for the repair when the part arrives. He is not only knowledgeable and affordable but also honest and has EXCELLENT customer service. Last year I took my car into European Auto for basic service. I was told I needed suspension work. Since there were no noise or performance issues, I put off the service for several months. Upon taking it back in I was told I now needed over $6k is suspension work. Again, no noise or handling issues. I called them and discussed the diagnosis and pricing and was told all soft parts and several hard parts needed to be replaced. Knowing a bit about working on cars I grew suspicious and took the car to the dealer in Houston for a second opinion. The dealer advised no work needed to be done. About a month later I took it to another, more local shop, for basic service and they also stated that zero suspension work needed to be done. I have had an issue in the past with work done at European Auto but I put it off to "mistakes happen". In my opinion this cannot be attributed to a mere mistake. Tonight our car broke down on the way back from a weekend trip to Dallas. We needed to get home to pick up our daughter from her Gma and it was literally 10 minutes to 5pm when my husband called European Auto Service. James answered the phone and my husband explained the situation and what he thought was wrong with the car. James took the time to drive over to where we had pulled off the road, after closing up shop for the day, and assessed the problem with out car, made a few calls, and quoted us a price for fixing it the next day. He even had a tow truck come and grab the car to tow to his shop for safe keeping overnight. Then to top it all off he offered to drive us home, 45 miles, so we wouldn't have to wait for a ride or call an Uber. Wow! Blessings on this gentleman, James Nichols, the owner of European Auto Service. Our family so appreciates what he did for my daughter-in-law today. She grew up in a big city and wasn't around the lawn mowers, mini-bikes, pickups, motorcycles and cars we were growing up in the midwest. She put diesel in her husband's Infinity. Big oops and a bit harrowing for her as the car inconveniently died on the ramp to the expressway after filling up. Mr. Nichols, went ABOVE & BEYOND maybe bc he is a single dad of two daughters, maybe bc he has a good heart, maybe bc he was moved by divine intervention (prayed about this a lot last night) or maybe he just felt it was the right thing to do...or all of the above. Just darn grateful that human beings like him populate the world. Not all human creatures are human beings, which is why it is scary for a gal alone when something goes wrong. He not only fit the repair into his very busy day, he gave her a lift to return the rental car she had too. Figuring it would take her 2-3 hours to drive home, he called about 20 minutes after she arrived to make sure she got home okay. Not good! They did not diagnose the problem with my vehicle they went strait to changing parts. It is quicker and easier for them, but much more expensive for me and their other customers, and to top it off he has a very bad attitude. Better stay away from this shop.
