Upon first glance, this place seems like a simple little bakery, nothing too special. However, they do have something pretty cool cooking up in store! Have you tried a bagel bomb!? No? Well it's essentially bagel dough wrapped around awesome filing to make a little ball of goodness! My friend and I both purchased a pizza bagel bomb. The girl at the counter was happy to explain all the different varieties but we couldnt resist the cheese, sauce, and meat that was waiting inside this thing. She heat it up for a little bit and also prepared us some wonderful Angry Alpaca tea (if you haven't tried this stuff yet, do yourself a favour and get some. It's local tea and it tastes AMAZING!). I loved the flavour of the pizza bagel bomb. They put some nice spices on top and the fillings weren't your typical mozzarella and pepperoni. I believe capicola and provolone as well? It was the perfect little pick me up since we didnt want a big lunch. The bakery was consistently busy! There was always someone at the counter but the service is quick. I believe La Noisette supplies bagel bombs to a few spots in London. I'll be happy to recommend them to anyone! I want to try the Nutella one next!

Which I then promptly forget until the next time I am nearby. I have never not been impressed. The coffee, locally roasted is absoutley fantastic and only pales if you dare compare it to the freshly made baked goods: cookies, cupcakes, muffins, cakes pies ... the list goes on. They all look and taste amazing! They also have breakfast, sandwiches, soups and all kinds of entrées. While it is often overlooked from the outside it is cozy and wonderful once you enter. A lending library, board games and locally made products like coffee and honey await you inside. I'm actually leaving myself another mental note to return shortly - let's see if this one sticks.

The second visit was for a spinach and feta and they didn't have any in the display. I asked and woman working there told me it would be ready in about 5-7 minutes. I went back and they were fresh on the tray. They were so kind to put it on a bag and then tray before putting it in another bag since it was hot. She asked if I wanted sour cream as some people like to eat if with that. The sour cream was a good addition and lots of feta. The size is pretty big and for $4.73, it's a decent price too!

Now for the good news - their bureks are amazing! In terms of introduction, a burek is simply a roll of philo pasrty stuffed and then rolled into a swirl and then baked. I only ever choose the (feta) cheese or spinach and cheese - but meat and apple and cinnamon are also available. This is strictly a to-go place but if you have time you should really stick around to watch a batch being made - at least once. A burek and a drink will run you about $6.00 which is very reasonable for the deliciousness you are about to enjoy.
