Get in-- get out. It is very obvious that they discriminate and assume "state insurance" holders, even when my son wasn't covered by that type of insurance. (Who cares what kind of insurance people have? We are all human & have the right to health care). I didn't even catch the name of the dentist who looked in his mouth. Not sure she even really made the connection at all. I was more worried about the restraint holding she wanted us to put our 2 year old in. Of course he was upset, she didn't even take the time to acknowledge he was there. she seemed repulsed by him, especially after he was crying and chasing him around the room between mom & dad trying to comfort him. "Oh-- and he has green mucous-- that needs to be treated" -- very poor bedside manner. A "treatment plan" was created. No other options were discussed. I had asked what our options were-- "nothing else to be done, the staff assistant will explain what will be done".. Extensive work was to be done. The comment of "I'm assuming he was a breastfed child?" And dismissal of WHY his dental work needed done was unreal. 2/10, the best part about this place was the fish tank

I will need TKR surgery in the coming months and apparently UPMC Somerset does not have access to the Robot for Knee surgeries. It would be wonderful if this equipment was available at all UPMC hospitals and not just a select group. All UPMC patients deserve access to the best available healthcare.

Had a deep cut on my toe that needed stitches. Doctor comes in, glances at it and tells me he'd…read morelike an xray of my toe to rule out break or foreign object in wound. I had zero pain in toe, no bruising, and able to move it. As for the presence of a foreign object, the wound is so huge that you can visibly see there is nothing in it. He refused to suture basically telling me that it would be too painstaking of a process for him. I elected to leave without treatment as it was obvious they were ordering unneccessary tests to fund this dying medical establishment. His advice to me...buddy tape the gashed toe to the next one and put a band-aid on it. My advice to y'all....die on the way to another hospital before you put your life in the hands of this one. Complaints do nothing. They all stick up for each other like they're part of a cult. Scary. ***UPDATE*** went to Med Express and they confirmed it needed stitches. They stitched me up, gave me a tetanus shot and an antibiotic prescription in under an hour. Shame on you UPMC Somerset.

But since upmc bought them out it's a much better hospital I actually got treatment and tea care for once in 3 years and they found the source of very bad pain not having an appetite not being able to keep any good or drink down I was living a nightmare and no one cared until 9-5-19 I finally got admitted and real help
