That was my first mistake, but I trusted him. He arrived promptly and brought a helper with him, who turned out to be very slow and sloppy, and mixed 2 colors together which required that a room had to be re-painted, after I noticed that the color was too dark. Finkelstein at first argued with me that it was the correct color, only admitting later that a mistake was made by his helper. I found Mr. F. to be a crotchety old man who complained about his wife and family, and was very difficult to work with, very argumentative. After removing wallpaper, he was supposed to prepare the walls for paint, but didn't do a proper job so paint started cracking and peeling within days. He painted the second coat immediately after the first, without any drying time whatsoever. Several areas were missed completely, indicating that most rooms didn't get the 2 coats I was charged for. He argued with me about covering my furniture, saying it wasn't necessary, but after he left I found that the entire back side of a black leather couch had dried "mud" drops which I had to wash off. His job proposal listed what he would do, in detail, supposedly justifying the price, but after work began he cut as many corners as possible. When the job was finished, he literally ran out of my condo. I felt cheated, regretted that I hired him and seriously considered Small Claims Court.

I noticed during the process something seemed off and a simple Google search revealed most PRO painters do the base first in order to get a straight line using tape. This company DOES NOT use tape. Everything is freehand and it shows. My 10yr old daughter can make a straighter line. At first they seemed like they knew what they were doing and prepping properly with a sanding machine but as the job progressed it became evident they were cutting corners. Not enough prep was done and they rushed the job from middle to end. Lots of drips and they missed entire areas. The worst part is they destroyed our brand new $3k Hunter Douglas powerview blinds and refused to offer any compensation. And It's more than just visual deformities .. somehow the way it was wrapped caused the entire thing to warp and now it's not closing properly on the mechanism. And the mechanism sounds like it's forcing them which could eventually break the track. The bottom line is we paid for a premium professional job but got a less than adequate sub par workmanship finished product. The owner said we had too much stuff to move. That's complete bs. We had one room with alot of stuff that we assisted with AND the rest of the house 80% we moved ourselves! This all started because the owner was greedy. I asked if we could remove the base painting from the original estimate and he said the job would not be worth it for him at that point. He forced my hand to honor the original estimate and do something I didn't want to do and now this is what happens. The bottom line is we paid for a premium professional job but only got an ametuer job that we could of hired a few day laborers to do for half the price.. Hired Ronny to remodel my bathroom. Initially the project started well but went downhill towards…read morethe end. I'll start with the positive. Pros: -works fast -can execute the basics -bathroom at surface level looks great Cons: -did not resolve plumbing issues -messy/ doesn't clean up after self -poor communication skills -does not stand behind his work once paid -poor eye for design /aesthetics -not detail oriented Ronny / Z remodeling did a complete remodel of my bathroom which including moving plumbing. I paid him extra to install a jet/ spa shower system that now has little to no water pressure when turned to the hot setting. The water pressure is my shower previously was very strong/ intense and was great for using the massage setting on the shower head. All that is now gone. He initially claimed this was an easy fix, and said it just needed to be cleaned. He never came back himself though to look into it, which would've been helpful considering he's the one that did the work. Instead He sent his brother in law (BIL) over to investigate. The BIL tired a few different things but still couldn't get the pressure up. The shower has no pressure when using hot water or more than one fixture at a time. it appears that once they realized it was not a quick fix, they abandoned the job. Unfortunately I did not actually use the shower until I had already paid him so at this point he had no reason to come back ( other than it being the right thing to do of course). Ronny stopped answering all calls or texts from myself or my husband. this should have been my dream shower but now my jets ,that I paid extra to install, are not usable and I can't shower in hot water. In addition to that, he didn't level my doors, drawers ,cabinets, or handles and many are slightly crooked. The bathroom pocket door is also not leveled and when I asked him to fix these items his response was that they were already installed and that there was nothing that could be done. Other than replacing all of the doors since the holes had already been made. Unfortunate that a contractor wouldn't think to use a level or template before haphazardly installing handles. In addition, the hinges on the cabinets were barely tightened and some doors almost fell off when I opened them for inspection. Again very poor attention to detail and sloppy work. He should have checked for all of this before claiming the project was complete. Another area in which he fell short was in the materials he provided. I agreed to purchase my vanity through him as he promised he could replicate a custom version that I was originally planning to go with. He also agreed to paint the vanity for an additional $1500. Doesn't appear he bothered to sand/prep or prime the vanity as the paint began peeling and continues to peel just days after it was installed. Not only that, he ordered extremely small drawers for the vanity and attempted to hide it by covering them with large doors so that it would not be obvious. Great way to save money for him, complete waste of space for me who needed this vanity in order to increase storage space. I would not recommend Ronnie for any major remodeling work or agree to purchase any materials from him. He does not stand behind his work. Does not communicate when is coming/ not coming or sending other contractors to your home and does not believe in cleaning up after himself. His team had to come back on 3 occasions before I made my final payment. They originally left the bathroom covered in dirt, dust, and debris and considered that "done". I was shocked that he thought this was an acceptable way to turn over an job. He also never did a final walk through despite transferring the job to another company at the end of the project so he could go on vacation. I appreciate that the work didn't stop but again this should have been communicated prior. I didn't hire that company or have any idea about their credentials/ qualifications. In addition, he did not remove all of the trash which was part of the contract. He left large pieces of dry wall outside my home, several of his trash cans, multiple bags of cement and other rubbish and refused to come back and dispose of them. He left this for me and my husband to figure out. In short, I would not recommend Ronny or Z Remodeling INC. If you do choose to work with him make sure to delay final payment a few days to ensure you've actually used everything and completely inspected his work because once paid is not interested in returning to fix his mistakes. Now I have to find another plumber and consider taking additional action against him to fix this. Also I've given him more than 2 months to respond before writing this this review. Go elsewhere, it's not worth the headache. Even if he's cheaper remember there's truth to the saying "good work ain't cheap and cheap work ain't great"

The floor cracks when I walk on it and the planks are not properly locked together. Also, when I walk on the floor, I stump my toes because the floor is so poorly installed the ridges from where they are supposed to join are raised off the floor. I tried to resolve these issues with Jeffery with no resolution. Jeffery was rude and constantly talked over me and made it clear that I did not know how a floor should look, and I did not know what I was talking about even though I have laminated flooring in other parts of my home. Jeffery also told me he installed a FLOATING FLOOR. FLOATING FLOORS DO NOT LOOK LIKE THIS, MY FLOOR. It would not take a professional contractor to look at my floor and know it was installed poorly. My advice is run do not walk away from H T Construction. All of the hype you see on their website; not true. They will take your money and not do the work correctly. Also let me add I requested a breakdown of my PAID invoice and have not received that as of this date 07/27/2024. The room painting was done poorly; painted the air conditioning thermostat and vent, window chain used to open and close the verticals. Did not tape off anything just painted. I was also charged for an electrician that never came to replace and check my electrical outlets. Two floor installers showed up to do the floor installation; one was a young man who looked like he was still in high school and did not have any idea of how to install flooring. Jeffery told me maybe the flooring was defective. When I questioned him if the floor was defective, he should have seen that as the floor was being installed and not installed the flooring and I could have retuned the flooring.
