We showed up at 11:30am for lunch on a sat. Had to wait 15mins. Seated quickly. A good range of drinks to chose from including 4 beers. The food menu is a little extravagant when you want something normal. The beer battered chips were awesome!! Muffin was good but not spectacular. Well worth a visit. Arrive early.

Hands down: best iced coffee in Adelaide. You know when you order an iced coffee and it * isn't the level of sweet you want * the icecream isn't creamy or they use syrup * the coffee shot creates this luke warm beverage you don't want THIS WAS NONE OF THESE This was a CHILLED glass with ice cold coffee featuring the most insanely nice vanilla bean icecream. Creamy AF.

Wandered over to try out this highly ranked breakfast spot in Adelaide. It had me from the start with its food truck for coffee out front for quick to go orders, and the cute garden seating it had before you get in the doors! Once you get inside it's quite cozy, you order at the bar, and then they bring you the dishes! I tried the breakfast bowl with tuna and a mocha. Both were great - I'd visit again!

Ummmmm..... any restaurant or café that has real life bunnies available for pats wins for me. Automatic 5 stars. But, wait... there is so much more about Peter Rabbit than that. You crazy animal person, calm down! Peter Rabbit is just one of the cool things I love about Adelaide at the moment. It's a shipping container install just off Hindley Street. It doesn't really feel like it should be set up there. But, well worth the walk just past UniSA to check out if you are in the CBD. The set up is just so damn cool. I wish my garden looked this cool. They must have a partnership with the Flower Nook with a cute display on entry. Also, I love the ground/flooring on entry. It's grassed with concrete steps. The café itself is quite open and has a tree up the back next to the little Rabbit enclosure. You will notice a big long servery carved into the shipping container. There is a damn fine looking coffee machine and taps for sparkling or still water. Yup, just what every other café should have. The menu is real brunchy. Lot's of fab choices, but I had to go with the Brekkie Guacamole. Because Guacamole, ok?! Yup, it was great! The guac was a little on the sour side. Maybe a touch too much lemon juice. But, that is ok. Great bread, bacon and greens. Good portion size as well. Very happy! For those coffee lovers out there, you will enjoy the brew here. Light, nutty and tasty! Now... the moment you have been waiting for! BUNNIES! Yup, they are ridiculously cute and friendly. Little floppy ears and so soft. The staff are happy for you to give them a pat if you ask first. I could totally just set camp up here and adopt them as my new best friends.

First impressions are very positive. This place looks very cool (with not a drop of "try hard"). It's a great mix of indoors and outdoors, with little in the way of barriers in between. The music (laid back funk perhaps?...or perhaps I'm too old to use the word funk credibly these days) adds to the atmosphere but isn't intrusive at all. The combustion heater is a very welcome feature on a cool autumn morning. The service is exemplary - warm, friendly and helpfully suggestive of options to complete the experience. I initially intended to stop in for a coffee to while away some time but was jovially encouraged to take a look at the options for something to graze on as I imbibed. The excellent light breakfast selection soon snagged me (oh, French Toast, how can I resist you, you temptress). Now to the food. Oh My God! The French Toast is ridiculous!! That is to say, ridiculously good! Perfectly poached apple, mascarpone and some sort of toffee brittle pieces sit atop a slice of heavenly French Toast. The combination of these elements is so well balanced as to almost bring a tear to my eye at first taste (an exaggeration of course, but only just). "Oh my god", I literally uttered to myself, trying not to look like something out of When Harry Met Sally (it's a thing - look it up). The immaculately prepared coffee (using high quality, local Paris Creek Organic milk I was very pleased to see) completes the experience and rounds out an extremely worthwhile visit to Adelaide's West End.

I've been wanting to visit this place for ages but the times are only opened during the weekdays, and doesn't open late at nights or the weekends. Finally we bunch of us headed their on a Friday night after 730pm and ordered drinks and a food platter. They didn't serve any other food besides the cheese platter, so slightly disappointed that I couldn't try their pies. I'll probably try to come back next time during a week day on my day off. :D Opening hours are: Mon-Thurs: 07:30 - 15:30 Fri: 07:30 - 22:00 So if you want to pet the rabbits, please ask staff first and they will happily assist this request. This place is really worth a visit, especially see the 2 cute rabbits in the pen in the back of the cafe. The lovely waitress, gave us some cut vegies so we could feed the rabbits and pet them. They were a bit frightened but calmed down once we started to feed them cut celery or cucumber. I ordered a pot of tea 'Golden Tip' a rare mystical white tea produced from the finest buds. It was light and smooth with a velvety flavour, sweet too. Thumbs up! Our group shared the 'picnic basket' as this was the food available at that time, it cost about $25 and out came a platter of cheeses, meats, crackers and cut veggies. Very healthy indeed. Thumbs up! This place also serves other things like fresh, organic dishes such as salads, tarts and sarnieteas, beers on tap or bottles, wine, coffees and juices too. They also serve a breakfast and lunch menu, so hopefully will come back to try this out. Things to know: *organic garden ON THE ROOF of the café. *rabbits to feed *hipping container café Thumbs up!

The little garden seating area. Bliss

This little place is quite sweet and slightly magical. Stepping into the little garden seating area and inside I felt as though I were in a Beatrix potter book. I had the fruit ice tea and Ruben. The ice tea was truly something special served on a brass cup with a paper stripey straw. The apple slices floating really made the drink. The Ruben was scrumptious with slow cooked tender flavorful lean beef and delicious bread and Gruyere. Service with a smile. On a sad note one of their rabbits passed away from rabbit cancer. I think they are going to get another so the surviving one isn't so lonely.

Food was outstanding! My bf loved the homemade granola and coconut yogurt (even tho he doesn't like coconut). I had he rabbit bowl which I absolutely LOVED! The flavors of everything went well together and I was actually kinda shocked since you wouldn't think an Asian dish would be good at this type of restaurant. Forgot what the drink was called but it was a chocolate banana type of flavor. I liked it, my bf thought it was weird. Recommended this place to everyone we know in Adelaide!

Set to feel like a side street in a town, you will notice a subway chair on entry and three small stores. First up a deli prepping cured meat awesomeness, next up a barber and finally a recording studio. And yes, there is a barber set up on Friday night to get a cut while you enjoy a few drinks. It is quite well set up and really does create a different feeling in a bar. You are stepping off Rundle Street onto another street upstairs. In the middle you will find a long bar and a range of booths. Bottles of spirits line the back and four taps for brews. The cocktail menu has some twists to old favourites. I went for The Dreamer as I am a whisky girl. It was a good cocktail, a little acidic and fresh. It was a good cocktail, but nothing that really stands out in a crowd for $20. Next time I will order the Old Fashioned which had some coconut in it from memory. Interesting. What I really like about this bar is the aesthetics. It's almost trying to create an experience that no one else is doing with the shop fronts. I think it's quite clever. The owner here is a real sweetheart and really trying to do something different. Give it a few months and I think that this bar will be pumping! Well done for effort and looking forward to see this bar grow.

Its opening night was definitely no secret but entrance almost is; To get up to the bar you need to look out for the neon 'B' from Rundle Street (easy to walk straight past) I like the kind of 'neighbourhood' theme the bar is going for, which a string of local shops. After you walk through the subway station there's the delicatessen which serves up small bar foods and cold cuts. They have Vincenzo's barber if you need a trim (different opening hours to main bar) Soundpond have also got a little radio station setup down the end as well. The bar area was a lot smaller than I thought it would be, considering how much floor space the whole venue takes up. There are seats all the way along the bar which does make ordering a drink a bit awkward. Also I think the music could have been turned back down to 11, it was pretty much impossible to have a conversation within five metres of the bar. I liked one of their signature cocktails 'Pistols at Dawn' with Chipotle infused Tequila with capsicum and some other things. The first mouthful tasted like a pepperoni pizza which I kind of enjoyed. Overall I really liked the vibe and atmosphere at BRKLYN. I'd be keen to try the food selection next time, hopefully when the hype calms down a bit.

Old guys had string ties, furniture looked like something straight from Octoberfest and bier sticks lined the bar. All the menu goodies looked Germany and pretty reasonably priced and it will keep me away from some pickled cabbage. Beer was of the Bevarian variety and served in ultra large and long glasses. Think the mini yard glass. Walking in we were greeted by the boards of smiling faces having a great time and the message board letting you know how to get your German fix around town. Walk past this and you are created by a quaint reading room with a large range of worldly and aged literature. Don't stop now though, voilà, you have entered the downstairs bar. The TV had Lleyton Hewitt working his magic in the Australian Open and the service wench was ready to serve us our lager dreams. Her opening words were, "I didn't think I was going to see anyone tonight". Don't let that put you off though, upstairs the music was pumping with the sounds of a 'Soul' night. Their simple menu includes 3 beers on tap and a selection of craft brews by the bottle, 3 whites and 3 reds by the glass, a selection of wines by the bottle and then any cocktail you request can be made. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable about all of the drinks on offer and make a point of telling you about what you are drinking, what it tastes like, or giving you recommendations. There are also only 4 food items on the menu - Coriole Olives, Pickels and 2 charcuterie boards made from The Charcuterie (a spin off from Lucia's Deli in the Central Market). We had the duck pate which doesn't sound or look that appetising but is actually not a paste but more of a shredded duck in pork belly fat goodness. The proscuitto platter again only came with bread and pickles but it didn't need anything else because of the quality of meat - it was a young cut of meat so not too typically proscuitto salty, very thinly sliced but still not bland. Now I have to warn all those typical Adelaidians our there who "refuse to line up." At 7pm on a Friday the line up was about 8 persons deep but we were inside within 20 minutes. Because this isn't a bar for spending hours and hours at people move in and out pretty quickly. So suck it up princess because CLT is worth the wait.

Monday night is open mike night, better known as Billy Bob's BBQ jam, an attraction for locals and tourists alike. Although quiet until about 9pm, the bar quickly fills and by 10 is packed with eccentrics, hipsters, aspiring musicians backpackers and international students. It is a quaint looking place, staunchly anti poker machine and one of the strongest supporters of Adelaide's local music scene. The walls are littered with 60's paraphernalia and objets d'art. During the winter time an open fire roars in the front bar, whilst during the summer people congregate outside in the beer garden out the back whilst waiting for the music to start. The cause of attraction is Billy Bob and his BBQ band. Performing perfect renditions of rock epics such as Van Halen's "Hot for Teacher" (including the choreographed guitar thrusts) and moody blues numbers Billy Bob and his band set the bar for subsequent performances, and return to the stage intermittently to support other acts. Subsequent performances vary markedly from week to week but are always entertaining. From aged local singer song writers to sprightly young punkers, 10 piece reggae bands to a travelling magician the line up is always full, different and invigorating. During the Chinese New Year I have even seen a full Dragon Dance performance. For those who wish to perform, it is advisable to bring your own instrument (with the exception of drums of course which are provided by the venue), although, on occasion, Billy Bob and his band have allowed use of their guitars to young and underprepared punters. You will need to approach Billy Bob (he's the guy with the cowboy hat) and get your name written down on the list. Everyone is welcome, so if you can play, give it a go. The sound is great and taken care of by an experienced professional, there are also a number of mics for multiple vocalists, horns etc. For those who prefer to relax, the front bar is a less hectic way to take in the vibe and have a chat. With friendly bar staff and a counterculture atmosphere the Grace Emily is a unique and wonderful gem in the city of Adelaide. Aside from the regular Monday night open mike night for which the Grace Emily is so well known, it hosts numerous gigs for local, interstate and international acts during the week and on weekends. And they have the full range of coopers on tap! What more could one ask for in a venue.

First of all, whiskey is native to the bluegrass state (KENTUCKY) and though whiskey is 'the drink' of the moment it's time too shall pass... Since the 1700s New Orleans is and has always been a rum city, but hey, why be bothered with the details or with authenticity, right? I mean who cares that the iconic poboy sandwich is supposed to be served on a French baguette (which could likely be sourced from another local biz just around the corner -Le Carpe Diem, Grenfell Street) when you could use a (possibly cheaper?) inferior Vietnamese roll? Back to the food: we sampled the fried chicken which was a very small serve for the price and it was accompanied by a mayonnaise 'sauce' - why is it needed? Is there bread to make a sandwich?!? Um, no. So, I gave it a go and found the sauce bland, tasteless, and utterly unnecessary. It's mayonnaise! With nothing else. Fried chicken in the States doesn't ever come with a sauce! Ever. Back to the chicken, it had a delightful crunch and was reasonably well seasoned but far too greasy. If served with grease glistening then it should sit on a piece of bread to soak up the oil OR should be blotted with paper. Not good. Next we had the Marlin tartar which was one of the few unique and creative takes on NOLA cuisine; it was presented on a crisp much like a Zapps' Potato Chip (for Western Hemi folks). This is something I can recommend without reservation. Then we sampled the rabbit stew - very, very tasty with just enough seasoning, however too much rice and not enough rabbit. One last thing, it is a total and complete sacrilege to have a Mardi Gras party on the first Friday of Lent. Pure and simple commercialization. If you can't do it on Shrove Tuesday, just give it up!
