I was connected through a service when I was looking for homeowner's insurance. I was pleasantly surprised to get a response from State Farm. That was however before I realized that 1) the agent (Alex Bazan) didn't understand what I wanted. I own my townhome. I wanted homeowner's insurance. He sent me two very reasonably priced options but it was CONDOMINIUM insurance. I tried multiple times to call him back, and left multiple messages. I even texted him back on the number he originally texted me at. NO RESPONSE for days. I finally called another State Farm agency and was told that if I don't belong to an HOA / Condo Association, I am ineligible for CONDO insurance. My guess is that Alex finally figured this out and just didn't want to tell me he made a mistake in my quote. My recommendation to anyone out there - read reviews for any specific office you may be working with. State Farm has really great people, but apparently it also has some really lazy people who don't actually pay attention to their customers' needs. read more

After having another insurance company for 23 years, I switched to State Farm. This is the location I deal with. Unfortunately, I was not with them for long before I had to make a claim. Jessica at this location is very helpful. She speaks clearly and explains things well. She is also very nice. The claims process was seamless. They even e-mailed me when they made payments to the dealership and rental car company. They guarantee the work for life as long as you go to one of the repair places they recommend. Oh yeah, and they are charging me $65 less per month for the exact coverage that I had with the other company. **Fun Fact. I had contacted a different State Farm local agency and the representative was so unprofessional and wouldn't call me back. I tried a couple of times. I even got quotes from other insurance companies because I thought State Farm was not a good company. Luckily I found this branch of State Farm. So each one can be very different from other branches. read more

Delayed underwriting processing with wrong information that the policy was not processed (of course after charging me) with no communication whatsoever on the cancelation. Only was aware when a government letter was stating I wasn't covered and I could lose my driver's license. After contacting the agency I was informed that was an underwriting mistake which I could not wait to fix and had to get another insurance. I still had another car policy that was bundled and also together with my home insurance. After basically 2 months to finally get a refund; I also got a bill taking the discount away. Which took them 3 weeks in which I wasn't having answers back via email nor via phone calls. Finally got an answer and they denied waving that bill that was due to their mistake. Even though they received my cancellation notice a month in advance they still charged my checking account and did it refund it back to me.. the customer service at this office is awful.. never return phone calls. read more

I have been dealing with another insurance company for quite a few years. When their price for this year had gone to over $3000. I had no choice but to look for another company. I was approached by State Farm and in particular Steven W. I have been so impressed by his knowledge, demeanor when explaining any question I had. He speaks clearly, calmly, extremely patient. He also makes recommendations until finding exactly what you were looking for and what you can afford. What was so impressive, when we were finished and the phone call ended I felt a feeling of accomplishment and no more stress. I felt comfortable with Steven and the end result was satisfying. He is respectful to his work ethic. Always calls you back promptly and makes you feel he has all the time in the world to help you. A bad neighbor, never there Last year I called the office and updated my address, gave my new married name, and gave my new debit card information. A couple months later I received a letter from the state forwarded from an old address stating my insurance was canceled. I never got a letter or phone call. Turns out that a worker in Weidinger's office took the new card number but didn't update the expiration date I gave her, nor did she update my address, so my card came up as an error. They were completely unapologetic. A new policy was written. Then it was canceled a week letter and I got letters forwarded from TWO PREVIOUS addresses and my maiden name. After not returning calls and not telling me information about a new policy, I switched to Progressive. These agents are rarely available or at their desks. They also don't return calls or make calls when necessary. When I switched to another State Farm office, they weren't even receptive to the new agent's office. I've never experienced such incompetency. As a State Farm customer for 20 years, I have never been treated so poorly as a consumer. read more
