My friend worked there for three years and not only did they screw her in the service department INTENTIONALLY misdiagnosing her car as needing THOUSANDS in repairs, they terminated her employment and her health insurance benefits even though she was one of the top salespeople every single month and had zero issues until she had to report her manager to HR for buying illegal drugs at work, abuse, retaliation, etc. Instead of doing the right thing, they tried to offer her a very small amount of "Gag money" hoping she would be desperate enough to take it especially now that they had forced her into two car payments and she's a type 1 diabetic single mother of 3 - they really thought she would give up her rights to even SPEAK of what they have done to her because they offered her 1/8th of her salary for "severance pay." She's told me some horror stories of service screwing people because it's "their job and they're told to leave their integrity at the door," of salespeople and finance trying to screw little old ladies out of money, things that would just blow your mind. If they can treat someone that made them a ton of money this way, how will they treat you? Think about it. When she can speak out, she intends to. Newspaper, evening news, this is a story to be told and unless they significantly increase their offer, she's going to move forward with a lawsuit and keep her rights to speak! As a side note, because of the stress she's currently been admitted to the hospital going on day 3 and found out that the hospital benefit they took out of her last check won't pay out because they specifically called the company and told them to terminate it on 5/3. She will have to file an appeal. They also took out hundreds of dollars for a rental they claimed she had up to the morning they terminated her although she was forced to buy another car at the end of the previous month. So they one hundred percent falsified documents to steal from her. Doctors are telling her the infection she's fighting has only gotten worse because of the stress. They knew she was battling a serious health issue and she had just submitted FMLA paperwork, but before the deadline, they wrongfully and illegally terminated her employment. Think about this next time you even consider taking your car to Modern for service or buying a car from there. They don't care about people. Only MONEY.

I was inquiring…read moreabout why the coach batteries had stopped charging from the engine alternator when the engine is running. And also inquired about adding a DC to DC charger. He told me it wasn't possible that the coach batteries were ever charging from my alternator (wrong), and that in order to charge them the coach would have to be plugged in or the generator running (wrong again). I told him I disagreed and that I had a Lithium battery with an app that showed the charge of 75 Amps to the battery when the engine was running. Then he told me I had fouled everything up by replacing the lead acid with a Lithium and that my charging system was all wrong. I informed him that the converter had been upgraded to accomodate a lithium charge profile, and that one of the items I inquired about in my message was installing a DC to DC charger to regulate this while driving. After a few more hems and haws I finally said I get the impression you either dont want to look at it or dont know how to do it. He then got angry and said he was just trying to get the "coach history" and ended by saying he wouldnt look at it due to "extensive modifications". LMAO....swapping a battery and upgrading the converter is extensive modifications? Save the dime...call someone who knows what they are doing.

This one is ran like they used to be- even down to the owner coming out to pump gas in between answering the phone and working on cars. He tends to handle the routine maintenance appointments and inspections while his associate takes care of more involved jobs. It has given me peace of mind to know that if my car needed repair, I can count on these guys to give me honest and solid recommendations either within their business or other local businesses they trust. With many auto shops taking advantage of people these days, it really means a lot to find one you can trust. As I've mentioned, this is a two man operation so appointments are necessary and hours are a bit more limited than the chain locations. It is worth the effort, though. Mike is always quick to answer the phone and pencil you in as soon as the schedule allows. Most of the time within the same week. His prices are very reasonable and he gets you in and out quick. He has oil changes timed so perfectly, one time I was able to set a timer on my phone for the time he said it would take and run across the street to grab a coffee at the cafe that was once in the yellow house. As I was making my way back across, I see my car backing out of the garage just as my timer went off! It can be a tight squeeze for me to work in an oil change on my lunch break but knowing I can count on the appointment time, I am able to make it work. Long story short, if you're looking for a service station in the Jamestown area that you can trust to offer reliable service at a good price, Mike's is the place to go. I sat with them while my car was getting worked on. I was a bit uncomfortable with them talking about bankruptcy while I was in their presence, but did my best to ignore, and not eavesdrop. They replaced a battery on my Honda CR-V, and asked me to return the next day for the tires. In replacing the battery, the Honda computer systems did not come back online. They told me they tried to fix them, but could not, and that it would be no problem for the dealership to do so. This knocked out everything from lane assist to cruise control. The next day a sensor went off 1 minute from leaving them- the technician had not filled the tires back up after putting them on. Then I get a text from them asking if a headlamp was in my car. Finally my "no problem" reset to the computer systems cost an additional $114 at the Honda dealership. Please be aware of this potential, if you are considering letting them change your battery. When I texted to let them know this had happened, their response was offensive to the point that I felt compelled to let others know of their customer service.

I still think you should have maintained a professional standpoint and returned the parts before a bad review like this forced you to.
