Came down from london to visit my family in wales, and stopped off at Abergele to get a McDonald's, noticed the pet store across the road and thought i would pop in and pick up some chicken feed, the place stank of mice, and we saw mice running around the aisles, we even saw one in the dog park, my children were scared of the mice so my wife took them back to the car, i bought some chicken feed and when i got to my daughters house i noticed the bag had been chewed and cellotaped up, when i opened the bag a dead mouse fell out, i won't be visiting the store again! read more

Located on the outskirts of Abergele just off the A55. This is the largest pet store in the area and therefore very popular. There is lots of private parking in the car park which is of a high standard. Opposite is the Mcdonalds which is a drive through. The store is split into different categories for the various types of animals. There is small items to the bigger items and farm produce. Basically if you can't find something in your local pet shop I am sure that it can be found here. The store is also as you would expect 'pet friendly' and the staff also ppear to be pet lovers. read more

Iv been buying from the pet place for years spending hundreds of pounds each month on equestrian products, this morning Iv been to purchase feed and bedding, I approched the young girl on the equestrian department and asked her for two bags of shavings and she replied in a rude abrupt mannor to tell me to go and ask at the till. I'm gob smacked that staff would speak to there customers in such a disgusting way, I will no longer be spending my money her again! Terribly disappointing! read more

History
Established in 1970.
Farm and Pet Place was established in 1970 by our owner Gwyn Lewis. Coming from a traditional Welsh farming and timber merchant background he started the business as an agricultural merchant, combining his experience selling animal health and farm feeds with his knowledge of farming. Over the next 20 years, the business grew from van sales to five small premises in the North Wales area. Then, in 1994, a strategic decision was made to include pet food and accessories.
