Plenty of those kitschy kinds of signs and posts to stick in the ground that the older relatives, grandparents, and in-laws who own homes out in the scary suburbs love. It's a unique craft store specializing in wood indoor and outdoor decor. Plenty of colorful, and humorous items. Some customized ceramics too. Cool holiday decorations especially for Halloween and Christmas. Every time we drop by the village of Smithville we make sure to check out what they have in stock. They make them look like bowls of cereal, spaghetti, pies, ice cream, etc. But it's all candles! I've been inside a few times. They sell random candies and things like that across the store. They also sell sodas in the back room. They also have seasonal kitschy items strewn throughout the place. Usually pretty nice things for around the house for the holidays. They also sell a few very random kids toys. So if you have young kids, they will want every single one lol! Other than that, they have festivals on their lawn a few times a year. Usually 15-20 vendors selling seasonal items, some hot sauces, knives, pans, etc. They usually also have a live band! The house also usually sells hamburgers and hot dogs, popcorn and drinks... This shop has always looked interesting to me as we drove past it several times in the last few…read moredays, but despite staying on the island for the summer for several years, I don't remember ever going inside. It's been around for a while so I decided it was finally time that I stopped in to see what was in there. We walked in and no one else was in the store. A much older woman at the front counter seemed to be the only employee. She didn't say hello or even look up from what she was doing when we came in. As I got closer to her, I said hello and then she said hi. To me, it's rude for employees to not even say a quick, "Hi." when a customer walks into their business. It doesn't take much effort. They had a varied selection of assorted decor, clocks, framed prints by local artists, outdoor furniture, lamps, LBI related decor, rugs, and plentiful tchotchkes which were fun to look at, albeit overpriced. Some of the things were unique and looked handmade, plus a lot of made in China items too. It was pleasant to browse there. We were never asked if we needed help with anything or if we had any questions. The woman employee was too busy complaining about her long drive due to construction which backed up traffic on route 72 and the bridge. I didn't buy anything, although I was tempted by a few items. The high prices plus the indifference of the lone employee, made it easy for me to walk out empty-handed. I doubt I'll be back.

Beautiful lights, a really sweet light show on the water, unique shops, and a positive buzz throughout! ALL of the shop employees were nice and welcoming. I even met old neighbors and played with a four pound dog named Charlie!

For the kids there is the carousel , for the adults there are the wine stores with tasting options, for the foodies there are the candy shops, restaurants and a variety of other places to pick up something to eat, the the shoppers so many options to many to write down. Wonderful way to spend the day alone or with family/friends.
