My experience with PALS upon the death of my beloved dog Sunny was wonderful. This was almost 4 years ago March 2021, and I still think about it and recommend them to anyone needing pet cremation services. They were so kind and caring at every step, from the initial phone call, to coming to the house to get my boy, to my picking up his ashes. Dawn even gave me the metal hardware from Sunny's TPLO surgery. The faux copper urn is beautiful. It's never easy saying goodbye to a beloved member of the family. They may have four paws, but they still belong to you through the thick and thin. I just happened to be in need of a service like this, the last thing on my mind at that time was what I was going to do with my little man. Their name put me at ease too. Pets After Life Services shortened to PALS is truly a great name. I had called the local vet office and they referred me here. This was the place that they used in times of need and I figured my little man could use the same services. I had called ahead to set up a time to bring him here and have him taken care of. Even though it was a hard time and I was scatter brained about everything, they showed compassion and took their time with me. They walked me through everything over the phone before I arrived. When I did arrive they showed me more compassion while I was in here. They showed me how much they care about your fur baby as much as you do. They told me everything that would happen and everything that would happen afterward. I was able to select the urn like container that I would receive little man back in. After they did what they did they called and I headed back to pick little man up. I received him in my selected urn like container with a certificate with his name on it, the Rainbow Bridge poem, and a detailed receipt. Honestly, I never want to be put in this position again, but they put me at ease in my time of need. In early July we took our 15 year old shelter cat we had adopted 6 weeks prior to the vet. Her kidneys had stopped working and we ultimately had to make the decision to put her down. A local vet recommended PALS for cremation services. Being new to the area, we took the vets recommendation. They gave us a pamphlet and said PALS would reach out to us in a couple days and get our decision for her urn. A week later we called to see what happened and why we hadn't been called. We were told our pet was done and back at the vets office... ok. We found out the person from PALS had taken down a completely different name and a phone number with an incorrect area code. PALS was nice enough to send us a new label for the urn so it would have the correct name on it. When we went back to the vet to pick up the remains we told them we haven't paid for anything after they told us we were all set. They tell us multiple more times there was nothing on their side saying we owed anything. We were confused but thought it had been comped or something because someone was moved by the story of the old lady from the humane society we took in only to lose her weeks later. (That's why we took her home. She was old and didn't have long we wanted to make her comfortable outside of a cage for the remainder of her life) On September 20th, I get an "invoice" with a sticker on it in red ink saying if we didn't pay they'd send the account to collections... odd seeing as they don't have a social of any form to send to collections but that's irrelevant. I call PALS to pay and tell the lady about the situation. She replies "sorry. What's the total?" And moves right along. The urn we got was great and the overall job was done well but the amount of confusion and error on the paperwork side truly makes me wonder what they're doing on the side customers don't see. I wouldn't use them again. The whole thing was a mess. read more

What this place does brings the closure we all need when we have to send our animals to the rainbow bridge. Hank, the best boy in the world, had to go to the rainbow bridge on Monday. He was picked up at the vet's office. Dawn called me to let me know that she had picked him up and explained what would be happening to my boy. She had him back to me within 24 hours. I received my sweet boy's ashes along with a pawprint and a lock of his fur. I was so happy to receive the small packet of his fur. I miss him terribly bad but I'm so happy that he is home with me again. Such a caring business. read more
