Pets at Home is a great place to visit with small children - wether you've got pets or not! They have a wall of fish tanks at the back of the shop all at heights that little kids can see into. They are always well stocked and look well cared for (the water is always clean). They have another area with rabbits, guninea pigs, chinchillas etc. Other cages include spiders, terrapins and small lizards. Pets at home is situated in the retail park of Inverness, which is ideal if you don't want to go to town centre. The shop itself is a fair size and has a great selection of products for all different animals. I was particularly impressed with the cat selection, I always find it hard to find my wee man anything, but got some great items in here for him. My brother loves the fish tanks, and is always glued to them when he comes in. They also have a selection usually of rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters etc for the kids to have a look at. I am always amazed at the amount of products that is available and the prices are most certainly reasonable. It is a popular little shop, and always has customers coming and going. I've noticed over the past few months that they always have unique toys/furniture for the animals which is enticing for many pet owners. They have food, bedding, toys the lot. A large pet store with plenty to choose from, from fashion items to small animals. The shop is laid out with a small area with smaller pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters, but all around there are accessories for every pet, such as a wide selection of dog leads, and hamster cages. read more

Another good pet shop, not in the centre of Inverness so it's good if you live further out. The shop is a bit on the small side but they have lots of stock and are great if you have any questions as I have found. The prices are fair. read more
