Pet Stock

This would have to be one of the friendliest and most customer service-oriented pet store I have…read moreever shopped at. Not only that, the staff seem to know their stuff when it comes to asking questions about products, and often they have a personal anecdote and recommendation about what they do for their own pets. I've got a decent number of pets - two Bengal cats, a fairly young puppy, and a turtle named Neil. As you would imagine, I spend a bit of cash when it comes to looking after them all. Since Petstock opened in Vermont South, they've saved me a small fortune - as much as 25% on some items, and that's not on sale either. And thanks to them, Neil gets a steady stream of feeder fish instead of (or sometimes in addition to) those horrible frozen fish pellets. Neil likes the fish so much that he's adopted two of them, and one of those is now nearly big enough to need his own tank. If you're a breeder of domestic pets (my wife and I used to breed Bengals), they stock super large bags (like 15-25kg) of cat and dog food, and if they don't have it, they're happy to order it in. They also offer services like puppy school, and they have a good rewards program for loyal customers.

Since I've had a puppy, I've been buying her food at this shop and it's all been a bit of an adventure. See, she's a fussy little bitch. It has taken about five different types of dry dog food before she's found one that she likes. That would normally be a massively expensive exercise, considering I'm buying the good stuff. But Petstock Vermont South has been extremely helpful. All I need to do is return the opened package and they'll exchange it without cost to me (except when there's a price differential). They'e made me quite a fan. That is customer service.
Nunawading Birds & Pets

There are only so many times I can drive past a pet shop without going in. Firstly, to see what…read morethey have, and secondly, to see whether I should hate them for selling pets. Nunawading Birds and Pets have a huge huge range of Birds. I'm terrified of birds. To add to that, they seem to know I'm terrified of them and they go out of their way to spook me. Walking past the cages they flew at me, glaring at me with their little evil eyes. It was like something out of a Hitchcock movie. Okay, so maybe I'm blowing this out of proportion, but it's not my cup of tea. If you like birds, you'd probably love this place.

It was closing time so I explained I'll organise a cage and I'll call tomorrow to pick him up.. I called the store after I found a cage and was told someone came in and bought him 10 minutes ago. Ok I was very pissed of I asked who bought him he lied said a random person of the street. The next day I called the store again and was told that the original owner bought the bird back and that if I wanted it the price was $500 now originally told price was $375. Anyway I glad I didn't buy anything from this shop they don't have the birds in clean and sanitary cages and the place stunk. I would not recommend this business to your worst enemy

What I love about this pet shop, is after a nice chat with the manager, we learned he refuses to display kittens or backyard breeder cats "for sale" and rather, helps Animal Aid with adult cat rescue adoptees that need forever homes. After meeting with little Dante, we adopted him and he has been the sweetest cat. They welcome dogs on leashes into their stores, cater to dogs, cats, birds and fish. They offer grooming and classes. They also offer some really good loyalty rewards for repeat business and you can tell they're passionate about pets and pet care. They have several business and pet industry awards and it shows. Another chain pet store has opened up across the street, so I hope that doesn't hurt Claws'N'Paws' business. If you're in the area, please go visit them!

When they arrive and are waiting outside in the car they're going crazy wanting to get inside & play. The staff are dog lovers. They found a lump on Taffy & let me know; one day Taff was there on his own & was missing Tess = 1-1 care as he was distressed. Tess there on her own one day - they were worried she was sick she was that quiet without Taff. They come home absolutely exhausted from their days play. Tess also had a humdinger of a birthday party there with all her doggie pals. Lorraine & staff also provided grooming services but I have not used these; therefore can't comment.
