I understand they were closing but if you are seeing me run around trying to find something he could have helped me find it. Why is it acceptable for an employee to be on the phone with their AirPods while helping a customer?! Not one word was said from the employee, I had to tell them I wanted to use my points while they are waiting for me to pay as they are speaking to whoever on the phone. Every single time I go into petsmart, someone is too busy to help or too lazy to help. Everytime I go to petsmart it's only for crickets, I could easily bag these crickets myself and get out of there but no they want us to wait on someone. But when you ask for help they say "in just a second" and you wait for 20 minutes. We asked 3 different people for help and they all said "in just a second" and they weren't doing ANYTHING at the time. Someone else walked up to them and asked them to show where something is and they kindly walked them to where they needed to be. Petsmart get better employees or find more staff willing to help. OMG this store's staff is outright awful. PAT an old lady was dealing with merchandise. All I wanted was directions to the dog grooming merchandise area. she would not even raise up her head and acknowledge me. I had to walk two aisles and kept saying ma'am ma'am do you hear me? Do you see me? Are you blind? Are you deaf like she literally just ignored me kept her head down and just ignored me until I finally said something and then finally I got a reaction out of her that I was being impatient she told me! then the HUGE guy at the register he was pleasant to deal with. these people hate their jobs and don't wanna be there. I've never in my life been to a PetSmart or any business at that fact that the staff was so disgusting their behavior they're not in there to help you. They're not in there to be nice to you or anything, they're just in there to stock shelves. That's what they're doing! spent $100 in there not a thank you not to have a good day. Have a good weekend. I accidentally forgot a bag of treats $48 worth, and was told I was lying about it and would not get refunded or get the treats, I was also overcharged for the traininh(from the managers no less). This is the only place i shop for my dogs food. They carry so many brands, your brand of choice will be on the shelf. Today's trip was very sweet, my entire purchase was 100% free. Yes, 100% free. i got a nice life jacket and their dog toys always last. The ones i get at a local big chain gets destroyed within an hour. read more

With my previous pet, I went to the Shreveport location for Banfield as that was my preference with him bc when he was a pup that's where I started him at. With our new family puppy, we are taking him to Banfield in Bossier. The staff is very friendly and adores Frankie. Came to get his dog food the other day and the staff was very kind and sweet. She went to the back to get food that was not on the shelf for us. She carried it to the front and gave held it up there while we shopped a bit. During check out she honored my coupon from the manufacturer. She also told us about that potty training program that is giving at three store. Very interested! My only con would be location. Yes it's great to have a reliable pet store in bossier. The traffic for the location stinks. You've got Chick-fil-A, Airline, plus all the neighboring business in the area and it is very congested. Plan strategically before you make your attempt for a quick in and out trip. read more

Charlotte groomed my darling doodle today for the first time. In fact it was her first time to have a new groomer ever and she is 15 months old. Baby was so scared and trembling coming in that Charlotte had to carry her back. But when I came to pick her up they were old friends. My baby was exactly as I requested absolutely fantastic job. I love taking my little furbabies here to be groomed, however, when I get just a bath package (no haircut), I never know what I am going to get! They always do their nails, clean ears, anal glands, and I pay extra for a teeth cleaning. BUT sometimes they will shave around their sanny areas and clean them up, and sometimes they won't. Sometimes they will brush out my poodle and make him fluffy like I want, but sometimes they will leave him curly. They have never hurt my dogs, like some other places. That is why I stick with them and spend so much money, but it can be frustrating when I talk to them, we both agree on what I want done, but then that is not what comes out sometimes. They are always very sweet to the pups and I do have a feeling of relief, not thinking that my babies are being hurt like the horror stories you hear about... read more

Seems like Everytime I come to this petsmart there is only one cashier and a lot of customers. Then we have to wait in line for a really long time because the cashiers who work here are REALLY slow and rude. There really even isn't that much animal items compared to the petco in Shreveport. I have two Maltipoos. The vets and crew at pet star have been excellent. I trust them with my two boys. I retired and needed buddies. I got two of them. From the beginning my boys have been taken care of like they are kings. Have had surgeries, shots, etc and always just professional and mostly just loving. Sometimes I will come in and someone will be holding one of the dogs. I have read the other reviews and they are totally wrong. You can trust your pet here. read more

Went in there for a couple things. We have an aquarium and cats. My girlfriend counted 16 dead fish floating in different tanks. The tanks have not been cleaned in what seems like months and it seems like nothing is going to be done about it. Grooming experience was GREAT, as was Banfield. It's too bad customer service can't follow through with that. Cashier 456348 is a jackass. We went to pay for our fur baby's grooming & I politely said "We are military, we saw the military discount offer on the pet grooming window. Could you apply that please?" And he said "I don't care if you're military. That only matters to the store on Tuesday's and Thursday's. $52." I replied with, "ok. We'll get them groomed elsewhere." And he rolled his eyes, then the phone rang and said "ugh it's too early for this thing to be ringing", answered and rolled his eyes as the customer on the phone asked for another employee. Then he transferred them to someone else and glared at me as I typed in my PIN to pay $52 for shitty customer service. Handed me my receipt and made me rip it out of his hand to get it. Let me begin with I really like Charlotte (groomer) she was out of town when this happened. My husband received the WORST customer service while dropping my dog off to be groomed. He waited 10minutes before being acknowledged, then was told they didn't have shot records (I've had them faxed over twice) and could not groom him/he has her call the vet's office, whichs the dogs just been picked up from for boarding. I made the dog bath/groom appointment a week in advance, so He would be clean & fresh to come home. She was VERY RUDE and I will not do business with these folks! read more

We were traveling from Texas and were going to be in Bossier City for a few days. My wife thought she would have her Bichon Frise groomed while we were here. Made an appointment and was told over the phone that she needed his shot records so we obtained those from his vet back home in advance. The girl checking him in was very nice and professional. I asked if she does a Bichon cut and her response was, "We all do." When my wife went back to pick him up he had been practically shaved and his head was cut to look like a poodle. He looked nothing like a Bichon. My wife complained and they took 20% off of the bill. They were never rude but we would not go back again. I would suggest more training for specific type of cuts. read more

Over the years we've bought fish from here with NO PROBLEM. We've bought 2 bettas that have both lived for 2+ years... Here recently my son's little friend Blue Jack (betta) died so we got him another one and his grandfather also got him one so we had 2 bettas... less than a month after getting them they were both dead... I figured ok it was something I did wrong no big deal however, we went back the next day and got 2 more bettas for my son.. NOT EVEN 24 HRS LATER 1 had passed away and the other was fighting to stay alive. They were COVERED in fungus! I'm not sure if they just got a bad shipment of bettas in or what but that's 4 bettas in less than a month! We won't be buying them from PetSmart anymore!!! read more

Why can't I leave a zero review?!? This is by far the worst PetSmart that I've been to, and I've lived in many different states throughout the years. I'd steer clear of the grooming area. Apparently they have a policy to shave down mats to the skin instead of brushing them out. I got a call that my golden doodle would need to be shaved down in several areas because of mats. There was no way I was allowing them to do that so I went to pick up my dog. I came home and brushed them all out!!! ALL. OF. THEM. Maybe I should have given her a pre brush before I took her to get a cut but with the outrageously high grooming price you'd think they could at least try to brush them out. I lived in Hawaii for 6 years and did take my dog to a PetSmart for grooming and it was cheaper there!!! Anyways, I also want to address the unprofesionalism of the grooming staff. I shouldn't have to compete with her (Dawnie?) personal phone time when I come in for a services or to pick up my dog. She was texting on her phone from the time I walked in until I left. I will absolutely not be back...not for grooming or pet needs. I'll either make the long drive to another store or better yet...I'll just order what I need from chewy.com....it's way cheaper and it gets here quick (next day for free). read more

If I could leave zero review I would I have a high anxiety dog the panics anytime he sees other dogs other people so it's really hard for me to take my dog to the vet and I can't go to town the Banfield in this location is never accommodating. Not to mention they aren't thoughtful towards their customers. After driving half an hour to come to their location for my dogs appointment today standing in line as he panics and freaks out because of all the other dogs in there they informed me that the doctor does there they can give him his shots is actually out sick today and that they would have to reschedule. How hard would it have been to of called me and let me know that the doctor isn't in so I had to reschedule my appointment instead of me driving 30 minutes to put my dog to the stress of having to be inside that Petsmart. read more

This crew is expert at wasting your time. I scheduled my dog to be groomed at 7 AM. Upon arriving and completing the registration process, which took a few minutes, they asked me if his rabies shot was up-to-date. Unbeknownst to me it had expired a couple of months before. It is understandably store policy to not take my pet. However, it is also store policy to ask these questions on the telephone before you schedule your appointment. I woke up extra early to accommodate the appointment. And I was 30 minutes late for work due to their staff's incompetence at handling basic scheduling business. If you have time to waste they are in okay groomer, however, I'll be finding someone else. read more
