I would highly not recommend this location as I've had several issues with purchases from here. I have purchased a fish tank that had a broken light and broken heater included with it that I had to return. I purchased a divider for my tank that was already cut and waaaay too small to even be used again. I went to buy fish one time and they dropped them at the checkout counter.. I had a very arrogant woman deal with me when purchasing my fish who was very rude and basically treated me like I was a complete novice to the hobby even though I have 6 fish tanks. Oh and two nights ago I bought worms (out of a fridge) that were already stinking and rotting by the time I got home. The only reason they are getting two stars and not one is because they have amazing customer service that was willing to help with any issues I've had but this amount of issues is unacceptable and I won't be shopping here any longer read more

I've been taking my dog here for four years. They rescheduled my appointment to 3.5 hours earlier than planned or expected and I tried my absolute best to get my kids/dog where they needed to be but missed their cancellation window by minutes (3 to be exact) and they cancelled my dog. I've never been thrilled with their work. They've given my dog ear infections, cut her just about every time she goes in and they take anywhere from 1 to 4 hours. And yet they won't honour an appointment they changed over 3 minutes. When they didn't even answer the phone when I called to warn them. Silliness. And the loss of a customer who spends thousands a year at their store. Really serves me right for supporting large businesses. read more

I'd give it a 3.8? The vibe was just a bit off and not the best lighting in there. Quite a few products and brands. I'd say lots of choices but some are not the best options for pets. The place have more of a business vibe and almost no "love animals, they are adorable and need to be protected, they are a blessing" vibe. Some fish and hamsters. The animals looks like they are in alright condition but could probably use more care still. The staff are mostly friendly and willing to help if asked. Large parking lot outside and not the most convenient spot if you don't drive. read more

What can I say.. I love that PetSmart has opened up not too far from home for a few of my pet supply purchases. This new location looks great and the staff are all friendly and helpful. I really only have one purpose to hitting up PetSmart and that is to get cat litter as they don't carry the brand of cat food that my cat's eat. I'm picky about what cat litter is used and not too many pet stores carry "World's Best Cat Litter". PetSmart is more expensive then another local pet store chain but when I am in a hurry and too lazy to go out of my way I will get it here. I call it a convenience fee for being lazy and not going to the other store. read more

Homophobic, power tripping staff and rude, disinterested managers. Went in for some dog food and decided to get a few guppies for my tank. The girl in the fish department was busy with another customer so we had to wait for a few minutes - no biggie, this is normal. She was being nice and helpful and generally being very kind to the people she was helping. Ok not too bad. Boy was I wrong... My turn comes. She was rude and aggressive from the instant she turned to me. Did not greet me, or attempt to be polite in any way, and as soon as I said I wanted some fish immediately began an intense interrogation. I've bought fist from PetSmart in the past and am familiar with the routine. This girl did NOT follow any of the store protocols. "You'll have to answer some questions, so I can decide if you can have any fish." is not how you greet a costumer. Her questions were invasive, rude and absolutely unnecessary. Each answer just led to new questions which became outright idiotic. It was clear she was going to keep digging until she could say no. Predictably, she refused to sell me any fish. It was clear from the beginning, she had no intention of selling me any regardless of anything I might do or say. I was there with my wife, and as an openly gay couple, I left very much convinced that the issue was not the fish, but homophobia. We approached a manager who flat out refused to even speak to us and said that he would not talk to her because "she can do what she wants" When I said "so you aren't even going to take the time to find out what our issue is?" He said "no" and walked away. This was not the first time we've had problems with this location, and we will not be back. read more

For the organic dog food I go to Bosley's. However, for everything else I go to Pet Smart. Larger variety and competitive pricing. Quality products are often discounted more than 20%. I like this location because the staff is pretty friendly and helpful. Best deal I got was on a steel cage, that was lightly used and returned. The manager took 60% off for me! Make sure you don't miss the turn into the building compound. It can be a bit confusing for first timers. Tons of parking. read more

Came here today to buy some food for my dog. We always buy the Great Choice food because it's my dogs favourite brand. We bought a whole bunch of wet food today, and we realized after awhile that there was a rancid smell coming from the kitchen. Surely enough, it was the dog food. It was green and slimy and smelled disgusting. It stunk up our entire house. I don't know if they weren't storing the food properly or if it was an issue with the brand, but if there was an issue with the product, they shouldn't have been on shelves. Period. I've never had any problems with PetSmart up to this point, but I will never be purchasing food from PetSmart or Great Choice again. I don't want to give my money to an organization who doesn't care enough about the pets well being to even quality check their products before putting them on shelves. read more

I rented the carpet steam cleaner from this location on Saturday at 12PM. The woman who rented it to me was very sweet and helpful if not very informative about the product. Documentation and such were provided and the contraption was very easy to use. The attachments were broken so I took them back and was given several extra hours at no charge to return it. I am so glad, because I really needed to clean my stairs! Overall, good product, good price, awesome staff... will totally shop here again! read more

I love the convenience of this place and the great prices they have and friendliness of the staff but I do have a problem. Never listen to any care advice a staff member gives you on any animal as most of the time it's their own bias or they're terribly misinformed. This goes for most pet stores, though. For example, I was asking about possible choices for rat cages as I couldn't find any in their cage aisle. The lady told me it was okay to house TWO rats in a small hamster cage. If you didn't know, the store-bought hamster cages are already way too small to healthily have a hamster live in them. Hamsters need the equivalent of a 20 gallon tank, now imagine how much bigger of a cage a rat would need. Rats are larger, they need more space and you need two of them. I later on picked up a pamphlet they had on rat care and it even advised the usage of a ball for them to roll around in. You shouldn't use a ball for your rat as they do not like them as rats are highly intelligent and like to explore their surroundings themselves. Also, if you don't get the right size and the rat has to arch their back it can cause back problems. The pamphlet didn't specify which size, so to test the last girl's knowledge I asked her what ball I should get and she showed me a ball that was the right size for a HAMSTER. I really hope this girl was new or a complete idiot and was filling in for someone in the small animal section and normally specialized in other departments. It saddens me how so many inexperienced pet owners are getting this kind of unhealthy information from workers and actually FOLLOWING it. Never trust the workers' information or the care pamphlets. read more

Wow, where to start... Ok. At our house we have a bunch of guppies that we got as a gift from the landlords when we moved in, as they no longer wanted to raise them. They're wonderful little fish that really made me realize that- hey, maybe I am into this pet thing after all. And our daughter loves them too! Following that line of logic my hubs and I visited this petsmart to check out some of the fish they had, and we were pretty excited. The girl who was working at the section where they kept the fish and birds was friendly, but seemed not to know anything about what she was doing. She couldn't even really answer any questions about say, whether or not the snails they sold ate fish flakes or if the mossballs served another function other than reducing algae. She had to keep calling her coworkers to verify. We took an interest to the bleeding heart tetras and asked her if we could get one for our tank, with the number of guppies we had. She told us yes, and that just a single one would be ok. Unfortunately for us when we got home, we discovered that this was NOT the case. The tetra became very aggressive as they must actually be kept in schools of 4-6 (as we found out later) and started going after our guppies. We had no choice but to rush back before the store closed, and our fish were traumatized for a few hours. The only reason why I'm giving them 2 stars is because the service was pretty good. Other than that, do not expect the workers to know much when you are asking questions. Do your research yourself and don't trust them. read more

The only issue I have with this place is the horrendous attitude from one of the managers that are usually there during the day time. I have had a couple of issues with money/ product refund at not fault of mine at all, and I've always gotten an inappropriate/rude/confrontational/wrong answer every time I have to deal with her, just to find out that I, was in fact, correct. Rest of staff experience have been mostly helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I will keep a 2-star review until this manager gets proper training in leading skills, customer service, and deeper cashier skills. read more

Twice I've gone in to look for a product that online says the store has available. The shelf was empty. When I asked an employee about it, she took a look on the shelf and said they were out. Did not bother looking or trying to look to see if they have it in the back and just not out on the shelf yet. Twice it was the same employee. Yet if I ordered online, it said it was avail and I could pick it up at their store in 1 hour. Her response was "oh we usually tell people to call first". That was really impolite. Luckily I wasn't going out of the way to go to that store, it was on the way home from work and I dropped in because it said it was available there and not available at a closer petsmart from home. read more

Cat groomer. I would like to give praise to Sandy ,who is the best cat groomer I have ever had. She is like a cat whisperer , she took my long hair Ragdoll cat who was severely matted on her belly and groomed her to perfection. my cat will not tolerate being picked up or cuddled except on her terms and Sandy manages to get her to lay quietly on her lap while she works. She is very gentle with your pet and does an excellent job for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend her and your cat will look so pretty when she is finished. read more

love the options and prices but the manager or some kind of power hungry worker man with blonde hair was extremely unnecessarily rude..i was coming for an item that was on sale at a different location and the man that i was dealing with accused me about lying about the sale. then called the store i was just at, that had told me they had the item here. when he called he used phrases like "hi i have a lady here that SAYS she was there and that apparently this item is on sale... do you know anything about this? *laughs*" he rolled his eyes multiple times and i felt really bad even though he was the one that asked me if i needed help... the man on the phone seemed to know what this man was asking about and told him the sale price, regardless the man that was helping me was extremely extremely mean for no reason throughout the whole interaction.. terrible person, the way he treated me was beyond someone having a bad day, along the lines of someone that was attempting to humiliate you.. very odd and terrible experience overall read more

Everything about this PetSmart branch is brilliant! Especially the associate Alex is very helpful. Before I got my first dog, I bought my Betta fish and its supplies here. When I adopted my first puppy, I took my puppy's first bath here using the Puppy Package booklet which was very helpful for new owners. The quality of the bath is well done and the price is affordable too! The only thing I may not be fond of is that PetSmart overall has a bit higher prices compared to other pet supply stores. read more

I took my dog to get groomed today at this Petsmart (where she usually goes) and my dog is a maltese/toy poodle cross, and very slim (which the vet isn't concerned about). Anyways, this time she had Annette as her groomer and on her report card wrote, "I recommend she have more weight put on, she could use more calories." which I found to be inappropriate language since, as a dog groomer, not a veterinarian, Annette probably shouldn't be giving out medical advice for animals. Then when she came to speak to me, she started saying how she thinks my dog is too skinny and needs to gain weight, when I interjected saying that my dog's vet doesn't see her weight as an issue (since she's 6 inches tall, a toy breed, and a healthy weight for her small stature), Annette continued to tell me how I wasn't feeding my dog enough, and she could see her ribs. At this point I was very frustrated and said, "are you a vet?" and she said "no, but..." and STILL kept telling me that my dog needed to gain weight. Needless to say, Annette won't be grooming my dog again, and I think a manager needs to have a discussion with her about how her role as dog groomer, doesn't give her the credentials to give out health care advice for animals. read more

I went to buy 4 dwarf African frogs on sept 5. The girl that help me was so rough trying to net them, my previous experience has been that they are gently caught by hand but she used the net to trap them and I'm sure in doing so injured the frogs. Once she put them in the bag it started to leak so she transferred them to another bag by dumping them all at once and they both hit the counter and each other. I said watch out and the other girl watching her told me she's new here. Well what I ended up bringing home is 2 dead frogs and one that has a limb injury. I called and talk to the girl (Christina) that watched the new trainee damage these frogs and she admitted it was wrong but the girl was nervous and has to learn. She had no concern about the rough treatment of the frogs and the death or injury but said bring them in for a refund. I asked her why she didn't talk to me or check the frogs for injury after and she said she was busy and there were too my customers to look after. I have to sign a record and customer release form to buy these animals and I'm disgusted on how they were treated and the customer service I received at the time of purchase and when I called the next day. read more
