Ok, I have been coming to banfield pet hospital for 15 years they are always the sweetest to my fur babies and myself. However, this review is about the opening guy at PetSmart who so rudely addressed me because after I dropped my babies off I happened to take two steps to the right and look at what I would potentially buy when I picked them up. He did not say good morning just we can't allow you to shop before the store opens I simply glanced for a second but I will just order from a vendor. I literally had to say good morning to you as well. His reply store policy ma'am! I know the policy but there is a more polite way to address any potential buyer. I needed a 6 inch tab for my service dog because we left his in Florida. We were in such a hurry to pack up and leave to get to Mississippi because my sweet, dear Daddy passed away that we just didn't grab it. They ended up not having one here, which was fine. I often have to order these online anyway, but we wanted to stop in here real quick to see if they might have one. We had very little time because of everything we were dealing with and it would have been nice if we didn't have to wander around for 10 minutes plus trying to find an employee here to ask. Of course when we finally found an employee, she had no clue what we were even looking for (even though I had a picture of one on my phone I showed her). She just said she didn't know and we'd just have to look around (as if we hadn't already looked up and down the aisles) and she walked off. Really?! This is quite possible the worst PetSmart ever. The worst pet store ever. It reminded me of why we stop at PetCo if we have to go into a store and also reminded me of why I stopped going into pet stores years ago and ordered supplies for my service dog online. read more

Wish I had read these reviews before I took my dog there for grooming. Not sure why the groomer spent 10 minutes with me discussing my dogs cut when clearly he did not choose to do any of it. I wasted $126 plus tip in this place today. Very dissappointed in Wyatt's grooming of my dog today. read more

i wish i could give this location no stars ! I typically like the job done by petsmart groomers but don't waste your time with this location. i have booked and been cancelled twice. each time they claim that they notified me but that is not true. i can assure you i would not drive to flowood for pet grooming if my appointment had been cancelled. poor management on their part. i won't be back! read more

I was in there today and Asia was the one that assisted me in the fish department. Very rude! Did not want to help with questions I had about the fish I wanted and bought. Said she was a dog trainer there. I would not let this person train my dog! She did not won't to be there today! People like her should not work in public. Had an excellent experience with Timothy. He helped me get a fish & was a very responsible employee and actually cared about the fish which is waaaay more than I can say about anyone else I've ever dealt with in corporate fish stores! I felt he genuinely cared fit the well being of the fish and he tries to give good advice to people looking to buy new fish! I can't however say the same for the cashier she did not greet me and was not very friendly or helpful. But 5 stars because Timothy Rocks! read more

Alisa did a fantastic job giving my puppy her first trim. All the grooming staff are so nice and very knowledgeable. I will always take my fur baby there for grooming. As for the staff out in the store..... not very nice. It's apparent they dislike their jobs. read more

I had a 1:30 appointment for my dog to be groomed. I arrived at 1:15 and checked in. I was told to give them 3 to 4 hours. I called at 4:30 ,i was put on hold and then i was told no one let her know and thought I was a no show and said she would get right on her.At 5:30 she called and said she was ready.Absolutely the worst grooming job ever.No way did they have time to do her nails and teeth along with a bath and grooming.Pet smart of Flowood needs to do a self evaluation as to their services and code. I will nerver visit pet smart again. I was charged full price $84.00 . After keeping her for 3 hours and then 1hour of service they should have paid me. read more

Nothing too different about this Petsmart, though my man was totally disgusted by the amounts of pee and dog poop on the floor AND how long I stayed in their deciding what to get for my babies. (dogs) Anyways, the staff was fairly friendly, but seemed as if they hated working their dealing with messy dogs, and careless owners. I'm not sure though I do know they sure did help me on what I needed. Pet beds were priced cheap for the holiday after sale. They only had one cashier who was super friendly, and she asked me what kind of dog I had. One cashier, who was a guy, who didn't speak much, and looked like he wanted to quit. Another guy cashier, who looked tired, but kinda liked his job. It was this lady who coughed right in front of my face, I just wanted to curse her out, and go off on her, but I didn't wanna cause a scene in that part of Mississippi, and have Brandon police come get me. I know, how those police are over there. Oh, they are hiring, so if you are looking for a job there you go. Oh, and its NOT in Jackson, its located in Flowood, MS. Brought my Pom few years ago and they murder her hair...AND HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR THAT. her hair never grow back the same way again. If what I want is to shave the hair to the skin, I could have done that and not pay them plus extra. Never go back there again that is it for me! I always tip them good but that time... not a penny! Until now it still hunting me. If I can give them less than 1 star, I will give them that! read more

I gave Pet Smart another try even after canceling my appointment at the last min. I made the appointment in line well in advance and even though I wanted an earlier appt I accepted the available one at 4:00. I planned my day around it and went for another appointment out of town. Then I get a call from them saying if I can't bring her early they would have to reschedule because they are closing early!!! I said I was out of town but would hurry back to make it early. I received another call before i got there, but finally made it there and left my 5 lb toy poodle to be bathed, brushed, ears cleaned, and nails cut. nothing fancy, no bows or trims. After an hour pasted I went back thinking they lost my number. The bather was the only employee there. she informed me that all she did was give her a bath, and she was still wet. no nail trim, no blow dry, no brushing, no ear cleaning!! She was sorry but said she was left alone and wasn't allowed to use clippers, or even blow dryer when the groomer was gone. online the price was the service was $25. but my price was $30. I complained bc I really wanted her nails clipped. JiBria, the bather agreed to clip her nails if I would come back the next day at 7:30 AM, which I did. she was very apologetic and tried to do a good job, however this service took two days and a lot of frustration for me, my pup, and the young lady trying to please. Pet Smart could fix their grooming service if they would hire trained professional people. I'm guessing the manager, Alisa Worley is the problem. However ultimately the store manager, Nathan is responsible. it's simple: hire, train, treat them with respect, and pay them enough to value their position. read more

I have never in my life felt the need to make a complaint on line but today will be my first. This store has the absolute rudest customer service I have ever seen in my entire life I will officially be boycotting PetSmart for life do to extreme rudeness of one employee and her manager. I am a proud parent of 4 beautiful fur babies who up until now have enjoyed pro-plan purina from pets mart but I will now be buying there food online as to avoid ever being treated in such a manner again. We love this location as it has many options for dog food, dog treats, and lots of dog supplies [ leashes, collars, harness, and etc]. We personally buy the Merrick Brand dog food which they carry. The store is layout nicely. The staff is hot or cold in friendliness. read more

My dog was in dire need of medicated shampoo. As we were walking up at 6:58 PM on April 16, 2020, a female employee saw us walking to the front door and literally close it in front of our face as we arrived at the door simultaneously and said nothing. She sat on the inside of the door waiting for a customer to walk out. sat there for another three minutes and she finally open the door for the customer to walk out And then very rudely said we're closed and angrily shut the door in our face again. Terrible service. Made my mother cry when they YELLED at her because the dog had a little crud around his eyes. Well thats what we PAY you for. And it was her BIRTHDAY!!! Our dog died due to their negligence. They crated him and went to get him out to to bathe him and he had overheated. He developed a blood clot later that night from the heat stroke. Please do your research and choose a different groomer. read more

It's nothing that personally affects me but the amount of dead animals found in the store is terrifying. I went today and there was a few dead hermit crabs and a ton of missing limbs that look like they have been there for weeks and had no water and some crappy food. I saw about 4 fish per tank that were sucked up to each filter because of the overly strong suction. Also a betta that they sell which was a rare one about $30ish looked barely alive and couldn't swim. It also has a very low amount of stock... anytime. What they do have I like which is why I put 3 starts but honestly go to a local pet store to buy live animals. read more

Our Yorkie died 24 hours after being groomed at PetSmart Flowood. Not sure what they did but when she came home, she had difficulty breathing that became progressively worse over a few hours. We brought her to an emergency vet to the tune of 2500 dollars and finally had to put her down because no treatment could bring her back. We will never walk through the doors of PetSmart for any reason. If you don't care about your pet, bring them to PetSmart otherwise, look elsewhere. read more

I've been to several petsmarts but this one was the most friendly! I got my dog jackie groomed there several times before she died of old age a little less than a month ago. I always asked for Cameron. She was always polite and caring towards jackie and the other dogs i seen her work on. Even some that were being particularly difficult she stayed calm and waited for their fits to pass. Everyone in their salon has their own great charteristics and diffrent personalitys they all seem to work together when they need help with anything. But if I ever get another dog ill.be coming to see Cameron again. I love her gentle but firm personality she has with her dogs. read more

When I came to this store yesterday, the vet gave me a prescription for a specific food and when I asked the cashier for help finding it, she just vaguely pointed and didn't even offer to help me look. Employees care. Trainers are good. Cashiers are fast and caring. Their house brand (Authority) is inexpensive but better than expensive national brands like Science Diet and Eukanuba but at a fraction of the cost. Their selection of name brands and types (lamb & rice, turkey & barley, chicken & rice, etc) cannot be beat here locally. read more

Do not go to this store for grooming, the people they have do not care about the animals, do not try and help you if they make the mistake, and make it seem as if you made the mistake, I think everyone of them in grooming needs to be fired!!! read more
