I have gone to Pet smart in Seabrook every month for the last 4 months and they havent been able to sell fish. If they cant take care of their tanks why dont they just shut them down instead of wasting customers time going in there only to be turned away? Its ridiculous. read more

My Yorkie needed a summer clean up. He's a grumpy old guy at 11 years old. I brought his 2 nuzzles but was told they're not allowed to muzzle dogs over 10. I warned they that he's a jumper and may get ugly getting clipped and having his nails done. He's not a fan of the pawdicure. He's all cleaned up and is nice clean and soft. They did super with him as he didn't nip or jump off the table. $42 for bath, clip and nails was worth it. We'll be going back. read more

Having never had my dogs professionally groomed before, I was nervous about having an issue or my dog freaking out. I have Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and usually groom them myself. I decided to try out a professional grooming and I can't really say enough great things about this place. As it was her first professional grooming I actually stayed right around the area just incase there was an emergency. My worry was for not though. Tia was amazing and did such a great job. I took off one star as something must have happened at this location. My last appointment was cancelled and I couldn't rebook for weeks. Every time I go in the grooming department is closed and in the dark. Hoping they will keep the grooming department going. The rest of the store is pleasant and clean, never had a problem. read more

Don't let Deseree touch an animal you love paid for anal glads - she didn't know how to do them told her NOT to blow dry - she chose to anyway, stressing my dog out more then nessacery paid for paw trim - she chose not to do that either worst of all when I picked up my dog her eyes were bloodshot and popping out her head. She was being strangled by Deserees slip lead through the process. My dog is not great for this kind of thing, but Deseree could not handle my 27-pound chihuahua mix and would have been better to just tell me and not do it than to strangle my dog till she cooperated. I have worked with animals before and once someone becomes apathetic to the animals they are caring for they need to find a new career. read more

Went in the store to buy parakeets for my daughters. The staff member (appeared to be a store manager) refused to sell them due to "lack of staff" and told me to come back later. Store was not busy, and had just opened up. The employee continued to tell everyone how he had COVID. I am very confused on why anyone would refuse a sale during these troubling times. This review is not in regard to my experience at PetSmart, which has been very good for years. This review is in response to a scathing review, left by Victoria S. of Seabrook. Dear Victoria, I very rarely read reviews and have never responded to another's review, however your review screams for a response. Did you see your dog get strangled, Victoria; if not, how could you write such a thing? Furthermore, if your Chihuahua is 27 pounds...I hope the 'mix' is of larger dog...it is very unhealthy for a dog to be overweight. If your dog "is not great for this kind of thing", you should find a groomer who specializes in troubled dogs or seek medication. My standard poodle, rescued from the Asian meat markets, has never had trouble being groomed at PetSmart although she had been tortured for the first year of her life. The Seabrook store has no customer service at all. I prefer the Plaistow store, they are all so nice and helpful but I had to go to Seabrook because it was closer. I just wanted to exchange some cat food for a different flavor and the lady (who turned out to be the manager Rebecca) was so rude and ignorant that I will never go back to this store again. Even with a receipt she was giving me the third degree and eventually told me to go to Plaistow, which I did and it was a pleasant 5 minute exchange. This store needs a new manager with some basic human decency and customer service skills. read more

The only good thing about this location is one lady who works there she's always sweet and kind to me and my dogs who also loved going here. She's the reason they get any stars at all. The other one who works there Lorrie is awful. So many bad reviews about her, multiple complaints, and frankly just too old to be working in a store that allows pets. I'm at a loss on why they keep her around. We used to go here every single weekend I spent over 400$ a month on this place... never again. We're sticking to The Natural Dog in Newburyport(people are MUCH more educated over there and true animal lovers) & Earthwise Pet in Seabrook(they also offer grooming Michelle is amazing highly recommend). Lorrie at PetSmart is rude, uneducated/not a true animal lover, easily offended, and overall has terrible customer service. You've lost yourself an extremely loyal customer. We go here for grooming. It took me awhile to change from my regular groomer, but I had several people tell me they started going here after the Seabrook store opened, and they were happy. I was happy with my former groomer but this is definitely more convenient. We are happy with the results we've been getting. One time when I told the groomer what I wanted (not too short for my dog's haircut) she said "people can't always have what they want" by which I must admit I was taken aback. Really? Since then I have paid attention to which groomers I book with and I have been very happy with them. I just don't book with the one groomer who didn't seem to be customer service oriented. But even she did a respectable job of grooming my dog. read more

Needed a pet fountain filter and couldn't wait for shipment, (bad planning on my part) so went to closest pet store (petsmart). They had it, but for $17+. I bought it and could kick myself when I got home and looked it up online. Not only amazon, chewy, etc had it for $6+, but pet smart had it online for $6+ ! Not sure if I'm madder at them or myself. Tried emailing them and just got a slick answer as to why their in-store price was so much more than their on-line price. Sorry pet smart - you just lost a customer. read more

Yes, I returned here even though I swore in my previous review that I wouldn't. I was at Michael's next door and really needed a few cans of cat food. The BRAND we use was actually on sale -- hooray -- but the "flavor" (low cal) was not on the shelf. So I found two clerks who were shooting the breeze and asked if they had it. I was told, "Whatever is on the shelf." Really? Not "let me help look" and maybe "can we order it for you?" When I was buying a few other cans I mentioned to the checkout clerk that I wished they carried the low fat in this line she just continued on in her extremely bored manner. Never suggested I could order it or made any comment. Since this place is usually dead I don't see how they can afford such pathetic customer service. read more

Don't EVER go their for grooming needs. My wife took our 5 month old Golden Retriever there for a full-service grooming appt. and was turned away because she didn't have his rabies CERTIFICATE! He had his rabies tag w/ number, city and all, but NOT his paper certificate. She was never told that she needed to bring that. Wasted two hours of her time w/ travel and manager discussions. It gets better. She booked another appointment and ALL the head groomer did was complain about our young dog.......he didn't like the cold, metal table, wouldn't stay still, etc. IT WAS HIS FIRST GROOMING! What the hell did she expect? He's an energetic puppy, in an unfamiliar environment with a stranger, no less. Who's supposed to be the professional here? The head groomer was rude also, which prompted my wife to call corporate. They were supposed to follow up and call back.....THEY DID NOT!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE, TERRIBLE ATTITUDE, WILL NEVER GO BACK! Took my dog to receive their "Bath" service. This is supposed to include bath & blow dry, brushing, ear cleaning/hair trim, nail trim, paw shaving/scissoring, sanitary trim. Disappointed to say the least. He was still wet, and didn't get a sanitary trim, didn't get his paws cleaned up or shaved, didn't get his ears trimmed and they didn't clean his undercarriage. I booked online, and when I got there I got the sense that they were in a rush. I recommend trying for an early appointment, so your groomer isn't in a hurry to get home. read more

Huge store with tons of things for your pets. Found the prices a little higher than normal, particularly for NH and in this area. Comparing with a pet store chain in Mass, I found this store has items at least $1.00 or more higher than the one I frequent in Mass. Plenty of parking in the parking lot. Onsite grooming services and training. The store is very clean, as it is a new store in this new block of stores. read more

I always bring my border collie to pet smart locations for grooming. I always get the same bath ( the chi package with nails and teeth) sometimes I add on brushing or hair cut but only as needed. Well today feb 19th 2017 I brought him to the Seabrook NH location...& lets just say by far worst experience. After dropping him off I asked if when it was close to him being done if they could give me a calls seems how I live 35 min away. Well 4 hours goes by and no call so I call and ask what his status is they say " oh cowboy will be ready in 5 minutes" ok....thanks for the call like I asked?? Locations before had no problem letting me know in advanced he'd be done. Then I pick him up and he looks great!!! Well I only get handed the receipt...usually I get a progress note on how he did with every service (nails teeth bath drying) well I didn't get that. So they tell me to pay before I can get him. So I do 73.99$ well after getting him and getting in the car his mouth opened and his teeth were still full of plaque so before turning around I thought maybe it was stained & I tried scraping it off with my nail, well sure enough they weren't stained they were still full of yellow plaque that was rubbing off by just using my finger. So I turned around and went back in and asked if they did his teeth they said "yes we just go through with a brush we don't scrape anything" so I asked them to do it again and they were rude and hesitant. Well they walked him out back and maybe a min later walked him back out to me teeth still dirty. I won't be coming back to location. If I'm paying almost 80$ for my dog to be pampered and everything taken care of that should be done. They even forgot to take cotton out of ears which were still dirty as well I cleaned them myself with the cotton left in his ears. I love petsmart but this grooming depart needs new employees because they clearly have no customer service skills and they don't pay attention to your dogs individual needs. read more

A really good way to lose me as a customer is to act like a robot and treat me like one, too. The cashier was ringing up my hamster food when a couple of her coworkers came over to ask her about a scheduling issue. She got very engrossed in that conversation, so much so that she forgot about little old me and my piddly little purchase. When the receipt came out, she wadded it up a bit, which was sweet of her, and then held it out for me with her back turned to me while talking with her little coworker clique about that important schedule. (Note that neither of the other two told her to finish with me before they started their chat). They're getting 2 stars because they at least had hamster food, a floor and doors. Best thing that could happen to this joint is automated cashiers - at least they say "Thank you" at the end of the transaction. Really now, how much does it take to just look the customer in the eye and say, at the bare minimum, "Have a nice day", even if you don't mean it?! So, forget it. Besides, my hamsters told me that they prefer the food from Petco. read more
