They carry a good range of pre packaged foods at the front but you can also buy in bulk. I bought some 20kg bags of chook food and they even put it on a trolley and not only brought it to my car but loaded it into the boot for me too. There's easy parking out the front. They have basically the same range as a pet shop but heaps more animals available to buy than most pet shops. When I went in they had everything from rabbits, all kinds of birds, fish, turtles, even some snakes (which look beautiful through the glass but that's just where they can stay.....). Plus they of course stock all the necessary equipment, accessories and foods for pretty much all animals. We used to go to a much larger fodder shop but this one is local and the prices were comparable to the larger retailer. Plus their range is much bigger than expected once inisde. The staff there were great and even wrote all the prices of what we buy down for me so I could discuss it with my partner later that evening. We will definitely continue to make our purchases here in future.

Out of all the aquarium shops in Adelaide that I've visited (and I think I've been to them all by…read morenow) this would be my first stop if I could only go to one. Without a shadow of a doubt they have the biggest range of fish, and by far the deepest range of exotic species. There are shops that have cheaper fish, bigger fish, rarer fish, harder to find plants, or a bigger range of cichlids, or marine exotics - but for all round range, Seaview has it hands down. It's also a huge store - lots of tanks to choose from, accessories, pumps, decorations, rocks & logs - you name it, it's here. Again, there ARE bigger stores - but the range here has everything I could think of needing all contained in one store. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It can get busy, and I've stood in a frustratingly slow queue on a Saturday - but that's understandable given they need to communicate with a lot of customers over the suitability of fish for their needs, that they understand the care needed for certain species, etc. Parking is best off the Anzac Highway - I've seen far too many wing mirrors whipped off cars parked here while people shop for fish.

Now he's the size of a large dinner plate. Along with 2 tanks, and a whole school of fish... this place loves taking my money :) I've tried many other fish / aquarium shops in Adelaide but this really is your one stop shop for all fish, turtle, frog and marine plant supplies, they also have a large range of tanks and ponds. It is easily the best aquarium shop in Adelaide. It does however get a little busy on weekends, so prepare for a wait while you get served, but there is a lot of cool marine displays to look at while you wait. Check out the shark tank very cool, or my Bumblebee Cichlid who now lives in the large Cichlid tank out back, he got way to big for my 6 ft tank and started picking on all the others. :( Prices are reasonable, and the staff are usually friendly... If you love spending endless amounts of cash on your marine critters, then this is the place to go. :)

There really isn't anything super special about this pet store, other than it stocks most things you would need for your more common pets. They have a good range of pet 'accomodation' and some scratching posts for the kitties. I have tried them with my cats from time to time over the years, but I think they are snobs because they seem to prefer micro fibre suede or leather between their claws rather than tightly wound rope......bloody stuck up cats!

I decided he was a rapper, and described his 99 problems. My daughter took a different approach and discussed tea parties with him as if he was Princess Kate. It was a sad day when 'Kid Cudi' was purchased. I hope his owners are taking good care of him. This pet store always has cute puppies or kittens to fawn over when I'm grabbing some cat food, and they have a loyalty card program so my tenth bag of cat nosh is free. The first thing I notice is that the store doesn't actually sell any pets. I didn't see any while I was in there anyway, and it's not that big that you'd miss anything that was there. I guess this really means it is a pet care centre rather than a pet store. It's something to ponder anyway. The prices of items were a little bit above what I'd expect if I was to go somewhere closer to the city. With that being said it's nowhere near as expensive as some of the pricier places that are "local" to me. The floor is carpeted unlike the bigger pet stores, so I assume your 4 legged friend is staying outside if you visit. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and they stock a good range of items. There are plenty of worse pet stores out there, and if you live nearby this is a good option.

Pampering zone involves not only bathing but painting their nails, colouring the hair (for fun apparently), and get this 'mud baths' ! What the!! I suppose if I had a small dog and sometimes I wish I could shrink my GS to fit into my handbag, I may consider doing the same. If you have a dog who doesn't like to be left home, this day care facility for dogs is really very good. It gives your canine friend a pack to run and play with as well as a present and accountable human being who acts as the top dog for the whole time your pooch is placed here. This top dog human means no fights break out because there is always a masterful guiding voice keeping tabs on who is doing what to whom. It really is a great service if you don't want to leave the dog home every day but have a busy life and can not find the time to keep your precious pooch as pampered and busy as yourself. Let's say you own a big dog that needs a lot of exercise, but you also have a demanding job that sees you at work almost twenty four seven some times. What happens to the dog? Well it may get bored and start to behave badly as a result - but if you drop it off at Dogcity Daycare it will be busy socialising with other dogs. You can purchase a range of items for your dog when you drop them off or pick them up from their day of socialising and stimulating interplay - things like chews and pigs ears... and the friendly staff will let you know if your best friend has behaved well - which of course under the circumstances he or she probably has. And the experience I had was amazing! Dropping Harold off to the care of strangers is a little nerve-racking as Bulldogs have special needs, however the friendly team at Dogcity let me know that he was in safe hands and that I would receive updates during the day, reassured, I left feeling confidant Harold was going to have a great day! The energy and excitement in the centre was amazing, you could really tell that these people love what they do. Before I left for work, I had a look through the viewing window and Harold was already running a muck with his new friends. The thing that took this experience from good to brilliant, was the level of personalised communication I received. During the day, "Harold" sent me a text message with some photos of his new friends (who knew dogs had such skills!): Hi Mum, My new friends have let me borrow the work phone so that I could send you a message; I told them that I'm fine and would rather keep playing, but they've said that it's always important to let Mum's know. Apparently you guys worry about us or something. I'm having the best time. Heston is here and we've both been body slamming. They have a bunch of tennis balls here too, so I've been slobbering over all of those and carrying them around. There are two Huskies, Ace and TJ, who like playing with tennis balls also, so we've been having a great time together. I hope you're having a good day, but I doubt it's as fun as mine - ha! Our old boy has…read morereceived nothing but exemplary care, Dr Lee has been seeing him in particular and the amount of time and patience Dr Lee has spent with us has been fantastic. I've always felt that our pets health and welfare has always been put first, from the caring, friendly and attentive nursing/reception staff to the very knowledgeable and informative veterinary staff, Pet universe has quickly become the only place that we will take our pets. Recently Poppy developed a rare cancer and has now passed away, we were inconsolable but comforted by how caring the team at Pet Universe were especially Dr Chris who took the time to call recently and see how we were doing and even sent flowers.
